author note: hello!! this is my new story! I hope you all enjoy this story! this will be in third person! onto the story!!

leo's pov

     confused. That was the first thing that came to Leo's mind when he woke up. he couldn't remember what happened before. the last thing he could remember was riding Festus in the air. then everything went black.

     leo opened his eyes and took in his surroundings. He was in a dark room. the walls were cement with cracks in them. the ground had dirt everywhere. there was a single light in the middle of the room along with a door across the room from me. in the corner, leo saw a boy.

     the boy looked to be around 14. he had black messy hair. he looked like what leo imagined percy looked like at 14. his eyes were closed, and he had a bruise on his forehead along with a black eye. he was wearing cargo shorts with a red robot t-shirt and a blue jacket

     in another corner there was another boy, also 14. he had black hair with a blue streak in it. he had remnants of rainbow powder on his clothes. his clothes looked like a lab outfit that was slight too big for him.

     leo walked up to the first boy. He bent down and examined the bruises. they luckily didn't look too bad. leo then went to the other boy. besides the rainbow powder and the blue streak in his hair, the second boy looked unharmed.

     "I wonder how much longer till they wake up." leo thought to himself. he scanned the room more. trying to figure out where they were and how to get out.

     leo sat down where he woke up at. he stared at the door and wondered if he could use his demigod magic on it to open it, suddenly the boy with black and blue hair started coughing. leo stood are and walked up to him.

     "you good?" leo asked, "you look like you just fell from a rainbow."

     "huh?" the boy said, "who are you?!"

     "woah hey, you're okay dude. don't worry." leo replied, "I'm leo valdez, bad boy supreme! but I'm not an actual bad guy. I'm a good guy. What's your name?"

     "varian. do you know where we are?" varian asked.

     "no clue var. but don't worry. bad boy supreme will find a way to get us out!" leo responded, "could you check on the other boy while I work my stuff?"

     varian nodded his head at the request and stood up. he made his way to the boy in the corner.

     leo stood up and walked towards the door, he looked down and for the first time noticed his toolbelt was missing.

     "oh, Styx!" leo exclaimed, "Not good! not good! not good!"

     "what? What's wrong?" varian asked walking over to leo.

     "my toolbelt is missing!" leo explained grabbing varian's shoulders, "my toolbelt is very important and could possibly be the only way to get out of here!"

     "wait a minute!" varian exclaimed, he then started checking his pockets, "Dang it! whoever did this took my alchemy!"

     suddenly the other boy jumped awake, and both leo and varian looked at the boy. He stood up immediately and put his hand up ready to fight.

     "Who are you?" the boy asked, "where am I?"

     "I'm leo valdez," leo answered, "this is varian. we don't know where we are or how to get out."

     the boy looked down, his hands still up, "where's my gear?!"

     "what gear?" varian asked.

     "doesn't matter." the boy shook off, "I'm hiro, hiro hamada."

     hiro finally let his hands down and started scanning the room. 

     "Have you tried hacking the door?" hiro asked.

     "We don't have any equipment." leo said.

     "so?" hiro questioned, he walked to the door and started looking at it.

     leo thought this hiro boy might be a son of Hephaestus. leo touched the door and tried to open it with his powers but they weren't working. whatever room they were in must be blocking Leo's powers.

     suddenly a voice boomed over the speaker in the corner, leo didn't realize it was there beforehand.

     "yes, I'm sure you're aware of your powers being gone now Leonardo Valdez." the voice said, deep with a robotic touch to it.

     "Who are you?" hiro asked.

     "ah, that hiro hamada is a fascinating question. too bad I don't have an answer for you."

     "what do you want?" variant questioned, his eyebrow-raising.

     "Another great question from varian this time. I want to play a little test." the voice said. his voice sinister.

     the three teens stared at each other. unsure of what was going to happen next.
