At an International platform, we all represent each other by the name of our country. But I cannot forget that I was born in Odisha and have spent many years of my life here.  

So our journey starts with the state of Odisha.  Odisha has been known by different names. Most people know it as Orissa. Recently it was changed to Odisha.

.It is surrounded by the states of West Bengal in the northeast and in the east, Jharkhand to the north,Chhattisgarh to the west and northwest and Andhra Pradesh to the south. In ancient times, known as the kingdom of Kalinga, Utkal and various names. 

Oriya as the official language of state but still has lots of varieties of language Oriya : Sambalpuri, Sonpuri, baleswari, Midnapori, etc..

According to Wikipedia, it is the 9th largest state in area and 11th in population.

Surrounded by Bay of Bengal, it supports a number of ports, consisting of 30 districts and various temples, monuments and rivers.

Capital of Odisha called "Bhubaneswar" is a major city of Odisha where most of the political work take place. 

The famous dance of Odisha "Odissi" is one of the major classical forms of dances and the official song "Bande Utkala Janani" will capture your heart.
