Chapter 11
Black-owned business of the day:
TRIXX TRENDZ
Go to my sis for all your bonnet, lashes, onesies, and phone accessories you need. I can personally vouch for her because she's one of my best friends. Supporting her is like supporting me in some way. So please, support a black businesswoman. This is my favorite small business to shop at.

"I see no reason for me to suspend her. You touched her item, which you shouldn't have done, so she retaliated. If anything I should put you on probation for starting this mess"
She didn't know what to say. She wanted me to get kicked out so badly that she didn't think her plan through. Not only am I not getting kicked out but she looks like a wet dog.
"I promise all of you are blinded by her. How does she never get in trouble?"
"That sounds like a personal problem within yourself. This has nothing to do with me or my job. As for punishments, both of you will have a team bonding assignment. I'm having you guys complete the design homework that was assigned to you. It must be completed on time."
Damn it. We've been trying to avoid that assignment since Mrs. Anderson assigned it to us. It's due in two days and we've been slacking off. I really don't want to meet up with that evil spirited girl.
I hate being around bad energy. She just oozes devil's spawn energy to me. If you purposely try to put a person's soul at disposition then you're working with him.
"Meet me tomorrow at the diner down the street. This stupid project is due in two days so please don't waste my time."
"I should be saying that to you. I'm not her number one student for no reason. As you can see I never waste time", I said.
Sis thinks she the hottest thing since sliced bread. I'm telling you I'm going to pop her bubble. I'm not going to allow anyone to put me down and make themselves look all high and mighty.
People that lift themselves too high will eventually get brought down, always.

Tomorrow came faster than I expected. I thought the day was going to slow down, reverse even. I guess not all dreams come true.
My life is simple, I wake up then I suffer.
We were sitting at the coffee shop in silence. I was sketching out our dress while she just typed away at her phone. My back was starting to hurt from carrying this team to the finish line.
"Dominic and I are meant for each other"
She said out of nowhere. I ignored her and continued drawing. She occasionally brings up Dominic as if I'm going to spill my emotions to her. She's a lunatic if she thinks we're suddenly best friends.
"He's great in bed too. I'm talking great stamina"
"Ok Iyanna I get it, you have a dry ass pussy. Can you please shut up about him and help me sketch this dress"
I don't mean to be rude but she's pushing me. We've been sitting here for about two hours and all I got is half a design. we also have to make the dress in less than 24 hours. Her ass has been pushing my buttons to the max.
"Oh my gosh, he's calling me right now"
She fangirled as her phone screen lit up with a picture of Dominic. She quickly picked up the phone and placed it on speaker. That was thoughtful of her, now I don't have to pretend to erase the wall behind her so I can ease drop.
"Hi baby"
"Iyanna stop calling me baby, we're not dating. Girl, I don't even like you."
And I ooop.
The smile she had on her face dropped. She looked at me then slowly started to take her phone off of speaker. She put the phone to her ears and faced the wall.
"What do you mean baby? We were just together last night"
"Girl no we weren't. You snuck into my room and my roommate had the security escort you out"
They argued for the whole time I was sketching the dress. I was finished a while ago, I just stuck around for the tea. He was going in on her ass.
Apparently, she has been going around, claiming him as her boyfriend. Words spread fast around campus because it got back to him. He was going in on her ass too.
I could just imagine a vein popping out of his forehead and arms. With his fine ass.
I'm guessing he hung the phone up on his face because she turned back to me. She put a fake smile on her face and started packing up her things.
"Just a little trouble in paradise. He'll be back under me in a few hours. That's how couples work"
I was going to respond when my phone started ringing. I looked down to see Dominic calling me. Iyanna was reaching for my phone as if she was going to pick up the call.
I snatched my phone off the table and picked up myself. It was a FaceTime call so once I picked Dominic's smiling face filled my screen. I could feel Iyanna's shadow looming over me.
"Hi beautiful, how was your day?"
"It was good but now it's great. I heard you doging Iyanna a few seconds ago"
I heard her scoff next to me. It's not like I'm lying, all this tea was spilled right next to me. Even if it happened behind me I would've found out.
"You heard that? It was nothing important really. So anyway, would you like to go out with me?"
Iyanna damn near had a heart attack. She was breathing heavily behind me as she starting biting her nails. She's acting like someone asked her to sell her soul for a bag of Takis.
"Say no, you know he's my nigga. Don't be a homewrecker"
Homewrecker? My nigga? She must have crazy hoe syndrome.
She was talking to me like we were friends. If you have to constantly remind someone that your boyfriend is yours then he isn't for you.
"Sure, give me a date and a time. I promise I won't be on black people time this time around"
He laughed at my response. I'm not only doing this just to mess with Iyanna. Dominic truly looks like a chill guy who's cool to hang with.
As we made plans for our date she was still stuck behind me. She could've saved herself the embarrassment and went home. I made sure to turn away when he gave me the location of the date.
I don't want her crazy ass to follow. She's the type to dress up as our waiter and spit in our food. After we were done talking I packed up my things and left. I could hear her screaming my name as I got to my car.
"Who are you really? You can't be one of us"
She said as she looked at my car. By 'one of us' she meant coming from a lower-income family. I looked at everything but her. I never denied I had money but I never claimed I was in a lower-income family neither.
"I don't know what you're talking about. I have to go now"
"You're hiding something and I'm going to figure it out"
I ignored her and got in my car. I've never been more worried in my life. I can't imagine how this will affect my learning. I don't want to be favored, I want to be seen for my work.
I watched her smirking face as I backed out of the parking lot. I can smell trouble brewing and I don't like it.
