Today is the first day of hazing and I'm already sick of this. Iyanna ole petty ass got us waking up at three in the morning just so we can meet her on the track.

Mind you, the AKA meeting finished at one in the morning because she decided to give a long ass speech. We are running off of two-hour sleep.

"For our first activity, we're going to be running ten laps around this football field. It's only one hundred yards so I'll give you guys twenty minutes to finish all ten laps. If anyone finishes after that time I'll add another lap"

I looked at the field in shock. This big ass field was the size of my vacation house in Malibu. I could see everyone looking at Iyanna like she lost her mind. She surely can't expect us to run ten laps in twenty minutes.

Right now Iyanna is reminding me of how my PE coach used to make us bust our ass and run while they were sitting their butt down in the shade.

"I don't know why her fat ass don't run with us"

Someone whispered behind me. All of us let out little laughs while this girl named Symphony let out a full belly laugh. She had the most contagious laughs I've ever heard.

"Girl shut the hell up. Your laugh is not cute and it needs to stop, like now"

Iyanna yelled at her. She immediately be quiet. Making fun of someone's laugh is just so mean. That's the happiest sound they could possibly make and you're making them want to stop.

I rubbed Symphony's back as I saw her getting emotional. I know for sure I have a loud laugh so I feel her on that.

"Can you give us fewer laps to run? This field is not small and those ten laps are going to possibly kill us"

"You out of everyone here should not be asking for fewer laps"

Iyanna said as she pinched some meat that was on the girl's side. Now that's just evil as hell. There's no need to bring up someone's weight like ever. This is just giving me reasons to not like her.

On the first lap, I was already wheezing and sweating, trying to catch my breath. As I was taking a break someone zoomed pasted me. All I could see is her hair swooshing in the wind.

I could tell she was one of those kids that was a track stars in PE. Those people made my coach have so much faith in us and I hated it.

He expected me to be just like them but, he was sadly mistaken. I was lazy as hell and ate food as I ran.

"I'm allowing you guys to have a two-minute break so use it wisely"

We all rushed to the water cooler and started gulping down cups of water. We sound like the kids who exhale loud as hell as they drink water.

"Hey stranger"

Someone said behind me. I turned around and seen Dominic standing there with his football uniform on. The jersey he was wearing outlined his rock hard abs. I can't see his butt but I know it's huge in those pants.

"Hi Dominic"

I expected him to speak to me but all he did was smile. I didn't know what to do so I just smiled back. I guess we were smiling at each other for a long time because I heard someone clear their throat behind me.

"Since Serenity wanted to socialize during this break everyone had to run four more laps along with the remaining sixteen"

Iyanna said. Everyone looked at me like I killed their pet or something. I see her plan is to make everyone hate me and it's working.

After doing one more lap I grabbed my things and headed straight home. I could hear Iyanna calling my name but I keep walking. She can run the rest of those damn laps herself.

At this point, I don't care if I'm an AKA. Ain't nobody making me exercise against my free will anymore.

As I was driving home, the same white Toyota was following me since I left the school. Every turn I took, it took it also. I went on the left lane and it followed me too.

"They not gonna kidnap my ass"

I said as I took a left turn instead of a right one. The car went straight ahead as I parked at a random coffee shop. I waited a whole five minutes before I backed out of the parking space and started driving home.

Once I got home I started getting ready to go to sleep. It was five in the morning and my class started at nine. If that evil spirited ass girl didn't have me waking up at the crack of dawn I wouldn't be mad right now.

I was about to take a shower when I got a FaceTime notification. It was my favorite uncle George. He rarely calls me so I make sure to pick up immediately.

"Hi, uncle George!" I screamed with a smile on my face. I expected to see his face but all I saw was inside of his ear.

"Uncle, you FaceTimed me, hold the phone out to your face"

"This weird-ass technology. I miss the days when I could slam my flip phone in people's face"

He muttered as he moved the phone. And there he is ladies and gentlemen, my amazing uncle George Floyd. He has quite a sense of humor and personality.

Growing up he's the one that always vouched for me when I used to get in trouble. He took the blame for most of the things I did like when I flushed a roll of toilet paper and microwaved our cat. They obviously knew it was me but, at least he tried.

He's also the only family member besides my grandparents who have access to our family. My mom made sure to give him our numbers just in case he needed any help.

"How have you been baby? I heard you're up there in Howard"

"It's going good so far. I'm an AKA just like momma and grandma now. My pledge captain is a pain though"

"You want me to handle her? I got that thing on me, always"

He whispered into the microphone. He has the tendency of being protective of me. I heard a slap coming from his side of the phone seconds later. My auntie must have pimp slapped his ass again. She greeted me with a smile.

"Uncle George you know you don't have anything on you. Auntie won't let you get it"

"You can't let a man dream. Damn."

As you can tell my auntie doesn't play that. She doesn't want any weapons in her house and she's not compromising for anyone.

"How's auntie?"

"Still evil as can be. She refuses to let me live niece. Please save me"

"George you know I love you. I'm doing this for your own health."

He gave my aunt a smile then kissed her forehead. When she turned away he rolled his eyes and stuck the middle finger behind her. She quickly turned around stuck the middle finger back at him.

This is the kind of love I want. Even though they always play around with each other I know that they're in love. They basically married their best friend.

"I promise you I'm going to be that family member that move out of town and never come back"

He said under his breath. He got that right. Right after I graduate school I'm traveling the world and getting the hell up outta here.

We started chatting about my time at Howard. He gave me some very useful tips on how to succeed here and I appreciate it. I didn't know that my books and supplies for college can be considered tax-deductible.

If I ever need some knowledge of things when it comes to school I always call him. Him being knowledgeable is very beneficial for us when it comes to education.

He's going to change the world one day.

"I would like to stay on the phone with you forever but, I have to go to sleep. School has been stressful"

"Alright, good night baby"

"Good night uncle"

"Some of you guys wanted to act like spoiled brats yesterday and leave during the exercise portion of the day. Running on that field wasn't as hard as you made it seem"

Iyanna said as she stood in front of the fountain. She decided to have our meeting there so she can feel 'calm' and 'at peace' since I made her mad by walking out yesterday. Her dramatic ass.

As she spoke I raised the volume of my AirPods. Her voice slowly started fading away as Miguel filled my ears. I don't have time to listen to her talk her shit.

I occasionally nodded my head and acted like I was listening to her. I know she was talking to me too, she kept on point at me. I promise you, Apple did their thing when they created AirPods.

I'll wear them things everywhere except for church. I don't want to be one of those kids that listen to music while the pastor is preaching. That's just disrespectful.

My eyes started drifting close as Miguel's soothing voice invaded my head. I guess she noticed because I felt my AirPods being snatched out of my ears. I know she didn't touch my headphones.

"Were you even listening to me? I was directing this meeting towards you"

"If you were saying something useful I wouldn't feel the need to listen to music. Now give me back my AirPods"

"I hope your AirPods could swim"

Before I can even react she turned around and dropped my AirPods in the water. She had a sick smile in her face as they sank to the bottom of the fountain.

"No bitch, I hope you can swim"

I said as I pushed her into the water. She let out a shriek as she landed in the water with a thud. Splashes of water fell out of the fountain as she tried to get out.

I grabbed my purse from my seat and took out another pair of AirPods and put them on. Jokes on her, I lose those AirPods like crazy so I always bring an extra one.

"Girls, come to my office"

I looked over and it was the dean of students. Well, I'm done for. Iyanna got out of the water looking real stuck with her mascara dripping everywhere. She could've saved herself the melting makeup if she didn't touch my AirPods.

On our way to her office, Iyanna looked at me with a smirk on her face. She's up to something and I can feel like.

"You're for sure getting kicked out of Howard now."

She said that as if this was a part of her plan all along.
