It's been two years after that fated encounter with that ghoul. But I took his word when he said that he would come back
"Next time we meet it would be my kagune and your head"
This line kept ringing in my head all the time while I was at the mountains, training.
The thought of him coming back and may be even hurting my family killed me inside. I wanted to be strong and be able to protect the people I love. But the thought of me putting them in danger by my hostility with the ghoul puts me in shame.
But atleast I will do everything to protect them.

Well, the breeze is rather making a sudden noise.
..
..
"I think its time we meet again" said the ghoul who appeared from the shrieking noise of the wind.

"So you came at last" I said

"Well I was getting stronger and learning new fighting styles to battle you" he said with a smirk in his face.

"Well you were not the only one who was getting his shit together. I worked hard on my martial arts techniques and have gained a level far beyond what you saw me earlier" I said enhancing my confidence.

"Only time and true cause will decide who will win the battle" entered a whisper in my ears.
And for a moment time stopped and I saw a girl with angelic hair standing on the branches of the trees behind me
She was wearing an anti clockwise wrist watch.
I moved forward and tried to touch her red scarf but she vanished like a mirage. And I came back to my senses with the ghoul standing in front of me ready to stab his 'sword like nails' in my stomach.

I kicked and dodged him landing me in the air while he fell on the rough field of grains.
I came down with my fists landing on his stomach.
He threw drops of blood from his mouth

It seemed I was having an upper hand.
Right then he threw out a sticky fluid at my shirt  it passed from the free end of my shirt without touching my skin. But the part it touched was burnt like ash.
"Now you see the things I have learned in these two years" said he with a devil laugh.
"I admit you have managed to shake me" I said
"But you are not the only one who has got tricks up your sleeve" I said with a fake laugh
If this goes on like this then I will be utterly defeated
I don't care about me but this ghoul can't just go on harming people.
At this rate I think I will have to use that. My own technique. But it takes up all my ki and I may end up using all my ki and erasing my own existence.
No, its not time to think about that.
I have chosen to kill this ghoul before it kills my precious ones.
I can't go back now.....

"Only the one with a true heart and strong reason shall emerge victorious from this battle arena" said the girl with angelic hair to herself sitting relaxed on the branches watching them fight.
