That was all a few years ago. Right now I'm in Liore. Father Cornello is up to his usual tricks. Convincing the people of the miracles he can do. When he's using alchemy with a fake philosophers stone.

I sit on the roof of the church looking down on Liore. It was peaceful. Maybe letting everyone be fooled was not so bad.

The door behind swung open and I heard the clanking of metal. Followed behind that were the soft steps of a very light person. I watched as the a few of Cornello's disciples were taken out. The metal armour person transmute something into a speaker.

"Are you working with Father Cornello also?" the woman asked me.

"No just a wandering soul," I replied

"You're that girl that passes through Ressembol aren't you? Do you remember me? I'm Alphonse I was the smallest boy."

All he really had to mention was Ressembol. How could I forget.

"Yeah I remember you. Not so little anymore. What are you doing?"

“We’re going to expose Father Cornello as a phony.”

So much for the peace, I thought. It was a good thing to do but there was no doubt that exposing Cornello as a fraud would cause uproar. But there was no point in telling him. In a few seconds a loud voice boomed from the speakers. In fact it sounded like all the radios in Liore were transmitting the same voice. There were two voices, on e I did not recognize and the other was Cornello. The idiot somehow managed to admit that he was a complete phony. The others are not going to be happy about this.

“That idiot. I’m getting out of here.”

“Oh wait, you still haven’t seen brother. And you said were just wandering around.”

He got me there. So the three of us went down back into the streets and waited for the conclusion to the battle.  There were a couple of bangs but then the air was silent again. Cornello did not come out of the church instead someone else.

“Brother!”

“Brother? You mean the other boy? But he’s so small.”

“I AM NOT SHORT,” the boy yelled.

Could he hear me from all the way over there?

“My eyes could be bad but you look like a shrimp from here.”

Alphonse had to hold the squirt back. He was so violent. I left the two of them alone to talk to the other girl. She seemed to be upset about something. The two brothers talked to her and then the squirt left her looking even more upset. Alphonse followed behind after a second.

The two of them had changed so much after all these years. I had changed a bit though, and it made me a little jealous.

~~~~~ Cutting it short I’m sorry. But I really have no clue what happens after they leave Liore. I’m thinking Nina. And I just don’t want to kill her but I must it made the brothers stronger.
