A/N: I would recommend putting the video on loop since it's short.

"So, you have an idea as to who is contacting me."

"Yes, however, I'm hoping that my idea is wrong," Lucian stated, his voice getting quieter at the end of his reply.

Seeing the dark look in his eyes worried you, but you decided to not question him on it. The last thing you needed was to trigger the angrier side of him. Thus as you began to ponder where you would be going, you found yourself drifting off back into sleep, since you were exhausted from that dream, however you tried to stay awake for you were concerned about experiencing another nightmare. Lucian noticed your closing eyelids and how you would quickly open them in response. He could tell that you were worried about experiencing the nightmares once more.

"My pet, if you wish to sleep you may do so. I'll place a barrier around your mind. I wasn't able to before because the individual was already in your mind, though now such a prevention does not exist."

Finding only the energy to nod, you found your eyelids closing. Sleep soon overcame you, causing you to gently rest your head against Lucian's chest. Lucian held you close, making sure to maintain the barrier on your mind while you slept. He would not let some sorcerer invade your dreams; he was angered by the fact that someone dare come so close to you. From now on, he would always put a barrier around your mind while you were unconscious. He would not mind losing sleep, so that he could protect you. Seeing the fear and sadness in your eyes, as you recounted the details of your dream, only made him more determined to watch over you. Thus he stroked your hair softly, staring down at you possessively. You were his pet and he wouldn't let anyone else have you.

When you awoke, you found yourself still in the arms of Lucian, who was still awake. Seeing that you were awake, he smiled down at you while the sun shone through the paned windows and the small windows at the top of the room. You noticed that Lucian now seemed rather tired himself.

"Lucian, did you not get any sleep?"

"Well I must stay awake in order to maintain the barrier, though I do not mind. Why are you concerned for me, my pet?" he questioned, as a smirk formed on his lips.

"No, but how do you plan to go anywhere when you seem quite tired?" you asked, as a slight blush formed on your cheeks.

Indeed you were concerned for him, but you couldn't admit it. One you were too embarrassed and two you didn't want to admit that a part of you was starting to like him. He stated back in the woods that his emotions were genuine and now staying up for you all night seemed to prove that.

"Oh, well if that's the case, I'll be fine. Getting confirmation on my theory and your safety is more important than my sleep. Now I suggest you get ready for our trip."

After stating this, he let you go, allowing you to go into the closet and pick out a change of clothes. Grabbing a pair of crimson red flats, a short v-neck black dress with a crimson red ribbon tied at the waist, and a pair of Capri length black leggings, you went into the bathroom and proceeded with your morning routine. You left your hair down. Once finished, you came out of the bathroom to see Lucian taking a tray from Nafera. The tray had two chocolate chip muffins and two bowls filled with blackberries and raspberries on it while a plain light purple teapot rested in the center with two matching tea cups. Nafera bowed and left the room, leaving Lucian to set the tray down on the table with the mirror. He noticed you and smiled before summoning the sofa that was in the room over to the table.

"I imagine you must be hungry, so I had the food brought up here. Besides I wanted to eat in a different setting."

"Thank you, but I could have walked down to the dining room," you stated, knowing that he was hiding a small detail.

"Well now you won't have to walk down."

"Lucian did something happen to the dining room?"

His eyes seemed to widen for a moment before the look disappeared and he replied, "No, nothing is wrong with the room. Now, let's eat."

Deciding to just give up on the matter, you sat down on the sofa and began to eat your food. Lucian sat down as well, glad that you weren't pursuing the topic any longer. The real reason for him not wanting to eat in the dining room was because of an incident that occurred two days ago. In one of his fits of rage, since you still weren't awake, he tore the room to pieces. He was tired of eating by himself, knowing that you were still asleep and might never wake up. Constantly seeing the empty seat beside him infuriated him to the point where he ended up just destroying the room. Furthermore, he found himself lacking the energy to fix the room, or rather was just too lazy to do so. At the moment though, he was rather glad to have you sitting next to him once more.

When you were almost finished with your food and earl grey tea, some of the tea accidentally ran down the side of your mouth. Lucian saw this and quickly took up a napkin, wiping it from your face. In the process his face was now inches from yours and you felt your cheeks heat up slightly. Turning your head away from him, you saw out of the corner of your eye that he returned to his original position.

"I could've gotten it myself. You should learn more about personal space," you muttered, putting the last bit of your muffin into your mouth.

"Hmm, maybe you shouldn't be so clumsy, my pet. Though, your clumsiness is rather adorable."

Hearing this comment, you rolled your eyes with a blush still on your face. With breakfast now finished, Lucian announced that the two of you should head out. Nodding in reply, you stood up and watched as Lucian opened another portal. He linked arms with you before jumping in, leaving the dishes and tray for the dolls to clean up. Once on the other side of the portal, you found yourself in a study with polished wooden floors. A crème and orange colored rug rested over the wood while a light brown leather sofa sat on top. Shelves surrounded the perimeter of the small square room. The right shelf held various glass goblets. On the other hand the wall facing you was filled with books in perfect order. Antique pitchers and bowls stood on the top most shelves, giving the study a prestigious appearance. Two olive green wall lamps illuminated the interior of the space.

"Lucian where are we?" you questioned, walking up to the book shelf and examining its contents.

"We're in one of the council's records room. This room contains the records that pertain to sorcerers and sorceresses that have had unusual abilities."

"I'm presuming then that entering dreams is unusual then."

"Precisely, I want to see if there have ever been any other dream invaders, for I only know of one."

"Can you tell me who it is?"

"No, I'd rather not say if I don't have to."

Realizing that he wasn't going to explain any further, you merely replied, "Alright which book do we look at first."

Walking up to you, he quickly scanned the shelf before handing you a book with a navy blue cover. The font on the front cover was in silver and shined under the light of the lamps. Looking at the date, you saw that the records dated back to the 1400s.

"Lucian how long will this take us?" you asked, glancing at the eight hundred page book and all the other books on the shelves, which amounted to over fifty.

"Not long, I just merely have to say the word 'dream' and the pages will flip until the word appears. Considering this, you don't need to look through the books, since you don't have magic."

"Hmm, well do you mind if I just look through this one. It's not like I have much else to do. Besides if you could've done this research on your own, why did you bring me?"

"I'm fine with you reading the record; I'll check that one last then. Furthermore, I brought you here because I don't want to leave you alone. This person may have only contacted you only in your dreams, but I'm not taking any chances."

Sighing, you nodded in reply, knowing that your freedom of movement just became more restricted. Moving over to the couch, you sat down and began to read the record dating back to the 1400s despite the fact that the pages looked brand new. Finding the couch rather comfortable, you curled up on it and continued to read. Lucian stood by the shelves going through each book rather quickly, sometimes finding multiple hits for the word dream while other texts had no mention of the word. With regards to the books that mentioned the word dream, they pertained to different situations than your own. Instead of the sorcerer or sorceress being able to enter one's dreams, they merely were able to view what one was dreaming. Thus Lucian's search continued while you read your own book for any mention of the word 'dream'.

As the hours passed, you had progressed through your own book to page five hundred, but still nothing of interest concerning your situation revealed itself. On Lucian's end he was on his last book and when he finished it, he gently took your book from you and scanned it over, finding nothing. Thus he placed the book back on the shelf after confirming that you no longer wanted to read it. After he set the book on the shelf, he leaned against the bookshelf.

Covering his face with his right hand while his bangs partially hid his hand, he became rather quiet until he mutter in a shaky voice, "It can't be true, it just can't."
