Kari's POV

As I blacked out, I saw only blackness around my area but then I suddenly felt I was being lifted by something. Am I being..... caught by those guards that I was running away from? No, this one's different. Then I suddenly hear a voice, more like I heard a voice in the mind ' I have to get to Zoey before her fever is getting worse' I assume that it's a boy but somehow his voice is..... comforting I don't know why but I can't even explain it but then I woke up in a different room.

" where am I?" I asked myself but then a female voice said " your in the guest room one of our guards saw you in outside of the forest so he brought you in and making you feel better " i look to the side to see a female elf with blue eyes and blonde hair " who- who are you?" I asked " my name is zoey, I'm the one whose been healing you from that horrible fever" she replied.

" oh, th-thank you " i said as I tried to get up but fail " hey don't get up yet, you need to rest" she said and I nod as I lay down " so can you tell me your name?" She asked " m-my name is k-kari " I replied shyly because it's been a long time that I've talked to someone, well, besides to my mom ofcourse but after she disappeared I never talked to any people while I was looking for her.

Laurance's POV

I was waiting outside the door for zoey to tell me if the maiden is okay then lady aphmau came in and saw me " laurance? Hey, What are you doing here?" She said " lord aphmau, you see... While I was patrolling I saw a girl outside of the forest and she suddenly fainted, I came to check her forehead and she was having a fever so I took her to Zoey to see if she can lessen the fever" I explain to her what happen " i see... so is she awake yet?" She asked " I'm not sure but all I know is that she's in good hands" i said then lord aphmau comes to the room while I stood there outside the door.

Aphmau's POV

When Laurance explain to me what happened to his patrol. I grew suddenly curious about this girl who fainted outside the forest.

I've been thinking about if she's allies with zane since we have this incident about alexis and the upcoming war between phoenix drop and O'khasis and ofcourse as lord I have to protect the people in the village and also Levin and malachi but I know I'll get answers from this girl if she's with O'khasis or not.

So I went inside as laurance stood outside the door then I saw zoey talking to the bright blue haired maiden " Zoey, who's this?" I asked " ah, lady aphmau this is kari, kari this is lady aphmau the Lord of this village" Zoey introduced us ' so her names kari' I thought " it's nice to meet you lady aphmau and yes my names kari" kari said " it's nice to meet you aswell" i smiled ' how did she know I was thinking?' I thought again " yes I know what your thinking because I can read your mind" she said " um.... kari I have a question, are you an elemental dragon?" Zoey asked her
" no, I'm not an elemental dragon but I'm an elemental dragon slayer" she said and zoey was shocked ' I never heard the elemental dragon or the elemental dragon slayer ' I thought again just then Laurance came in and saw Kari's face change in to anger.

Kari's POV

I sense a presence in him, something that I should've sense a long time ago. Something that change my childhood life into a living nightmare. And something that killed my parents and everyone in my old village and was now burned into the ground.
