Chapter 74 - You know I don't do well with orders!

See A/N at the end

MYSTIC FALLS WOODS

Elena started her car, she couldn't just sit around and wait for Alaric and Damon to go off and potentially kill each other rather than rescuing Stefan. She was about to pull off when the passenger door opened, and Aella sat down, hair matted to her head from the agony shed been going through the past few hours.

Elena's mouth opened and closed a few times until she set her big sister stare in Aella's direction, "No! Go back to bed. How did you even escape Jenna's clutches?"

Aella only smirked, though her eyes lacked their usual mirth, "It's pretty cool what requests can be granted when it feels like you're being stabbed a thousand times. I wanted ice-cream, it's not my fault Jenna doesn't know Stefan ran out the other day."

"Well, I'm not going to be a part of this or Jenna's anger when she finds out you bolted," Elena declared and pointed back to the house. "Go back!"

"Please, Elena!" Aella whined, "My boyfriend has literally become a pincushion to these monsters, and I need to be with him when he gets out. Please."

When the lip protruded out, and her eyes glistened, Elena knew she couldn't say no and groaned out loud as she put the car in drive, "Fine. But one moan of pain, and we come back."

Aella saluted Elena, clenching her teeth as her wrists started burning, feeling like they were being stuck in fire. As Elena concentrated on the road, Aella pulled up her denim jacket and frowned at the marks on her wrists. She covered them quickly when she realized they weren't disappearing like the other wounds did.

MISS GIBBONS' HOUSEHOLD

"Ugh! How long are they going to be, they're taking forever," Aella whined out loud, the two of them parked down the road from the vampire house, rain and wind lashing on the car. Rubbing away the burning in her eye, Aella hoped her whining could disguise the amount of pain she was in.

Elena didn't even look at Aella, her eyes not leaving the spot she knew covered the house. She knew precisely what Aella was doing and chose to ignore it and turn them around. Damon needed her to be ready to get Stefan and Alaric out of there. As she glanced at the car clock, she rolled her eyes, "We've been here, not even ten minutes."

"Must be the company then," Aella grumbled, which turned into a smile as Elena glared over at her.

The pain from Aella's wrists seemed to increase the longer they sat there. Her heart hurt, knowing Stefan was going through exactly the same, her leg started twitching, she needed to do something. Then, the big ass branch struck the car, it was like a message. Elena screamed out in fear, and Aella knew she couldn't wait any longer, shouting that to Elena as she ran into the storm and towards Stefan.

.................................................

Aella jumped onto the porch and flattened herself against the wall as she nudged her way to where the cellar door perturbed out of the house. She was about to run towards the door when another body jumped next to her, hands up and ready to do something she let out a deep breath when she saw Elena standing there, glare just as deep as hers.

"What are you doing here? Go back to the car!" The witch yelled.

"Me?" Elena laughed without humor. "You're the one that should be back in the car. Actually, you should be in bed!"

Aella was about to shout back when she heard a noise and placed her finger on her mouth, Elena nodded at the signal. Knowing they could be caught, Aella took hold of Elena's wrist and pulled the brunette down to the cellar door. Aella looked through the locked doors dirty window, and even from outside with the storm, she could hear the awful music blasting from the upstairs of the house.

She turned to Elena, "Stuck in a tomb for over one hundred years, and you learn music by listening to Kanye West, I mean overrated much?!"

Elena's eyes rolled, and Aella whispered a spell to unlock the door, smiling as the door let out a gentle click so she could open it. The vampire had his back to her, and Aella mentioned with her hand for Elena to stay where she was, hoping her elemental magic was working like her Bennett magic. She tiptoed over to the vampire, his foot bouncing to the music. When he turned to Aella, and his eyes widened, she didn't take any chance and used her powers to slam him into the concrete wall. Unfortunately, it seemed her magic was a little iffy because he slammed with such force his head split open like a watermelon.

Pretending like this was what she was supposed to do, she smirked at Elena, "That's what happens when you choose to listen to Kanye, dude hurt my TayTay, no one is safe."

Elena's eyes rolled back, "Can you be serious for like two minutes while we're in the killer vampire house?"

When the two heard more footsteps, Aella's hand raised until Damon stepped in front of them, eyes wide as he caught them exactly where they shouldn't have been. Damon's eyes narrowed in on Aella before glancing at Elena hidden behind her. "What the hell are you two doing here?"

Aella was about to answer when she heard her boyfriend's voice and dashed forward, ignoring the raven-haired vampire. As soon as Stefan saw her, his worry overcame his pain, "What are you doing here?"

Aella's eyes watered at the sight of him roped up and realized why her wrists had been burning all this time, "Why is everyone asking me that? You know I don't do well with orders."

When Damon entered the room with Elena, he held up his hands, "I had no clue they were here."

Aella ignored him again and motioned for Elena to help her, "E, take hold of his other arm."

They were busy untying Stefan when Damon's eyes laid upon Harper staked to the chairs, even though he was being tortured, he was still a vampire that had been in the tomb. Stefan saw the change in Damon's eyes, he shouted to his brother as the girls tugged his ropes, "Unh! No. No. No. Not him. He tried to help me."

Aella saw who Stefan was motioning to and realized she knew this man, passing Stefan's weight over to Damon and looked to Harper, "You were in the Town square."

Harper squeezed his eyes in pain, but still was cute out, "Yes, Ma'am."

Aella examined the stakes in his legs, "What's your name?"

"Harper."

Aella went still at his name, slowly her eyes met him, "You killed the man in the woods."

Harper froze as he remembered the man, and the clothes he stole after, his sad eyes met Aella's, "I am, Ma'am. I'm sor-"

"-no," Aella held up her hand. "I know exactly how you felt, and I'm sorry you had to do that just to survive." She glanced over as Damon and Elena struggled to free Stefan with the vervain coated ropes. "As you can see, I love a vampire, I know the darkness they carry."

Harper could only stare down at her as she went on to assess his wounds, when she looked back up at him he saw the determination on her face, "Now, this is going to hurt, a lot. But it's a quick hurt. You ready?"

Harper gripped the chair, "Yes, Ma'am."

Aella stood, and with a wave of her hand, the two stakes flew out of his legs and, like the other vampire's head, smashed upon impact. Harper let out a deep breath of relief, and Aella quickly untied his arms as Damon glanced at the ruined wood.

When Stefan was free, Harper could see Aella wanted to be with him, and so he nodded towards Stefan after his first hand was untied, "Go, get him to safety. I can deal with this. Thank you."

Aella nodded and quickly ran over to Damon and took Stefan from him, Damon looked down at the brunette, "You get him to the car, and you go."

Aella gripped Stefan tightly, "Damon?"

Damon looked at the witch whose gaze was as fierce the night she threatened him, and a small shiver went down his spine, "Yeah?"

"Kill the son of a bitch, you got me?" Damon gave her a firm nod and knowing she didn't need to say anything more nodded to Elena's start moving.

They began pulling, Stefan's moans of pain were like a fist to the gut for her. Now he was no longer getting tortured, Aella finally felt somewhat like herself and willed her body to move for Stefan, and it did. As soon as they were out of the house, she could see they were in the eye of the storm, the wind and rain felt like ice to her skin. Looking over at Elena, she met the brunette's gaze, and with a nod, they used everything to get Stefan to the car.

Stefan groans continued as they saw Elena's car in the distance. Aella noticed that even with the two of them Stefan's weight slowed them down, she looked to Elena, "Go get the car ready."

Elena nodded and ran over to her car as Aella encouraged Stefan to move faster, and at her panicked tone, he tried. As Elena got in the car, her breath stilled when she noticed that the ignition had been pulled out, she spun to Aella to tell her when she saw a shadow come out of the woods. Opening her mouth to scream her best friends, she was too late as Frederick pounced, just as he did in the woods, sending Aella off to the side and Stefan to the ground. Only this time, Aella missed the tree.

Elena scrambled out of the car, the wind furiously blowing her backward as she heard Frederick beating on Stefan. She then saw him pull a large stick from the floor as glared down at Stefan, "This is for Beth-Anne."

Aella turned at his words when she saw the stick hovering over Stefan's heart, her own heart tumbled to her stomach. Aella's mouth opened as she screamed out her boyfriend's name, but it was too late, as Frederick fell to the ground with hands gripping onto his head with ferocity, the stick was now perturbing from Stefan's abdomen. Elena took the chance with Frederick down and ran over to him with a stick twice as big as the one he stabbed Stefan with, stabbing him with all her might, his screams only increasing at the pain.

Aella scrambled up and ignored the screaming vampire as Stefan struggled with the stick in his stomach. Aella quickly pulled it out with her magic, clenching at Stefan's masons of pains, her tears falling steadily. The two girls pulled Stefan up and moved as fast as they could to the car, but the beating and the stake had only made Stefan weaker and unable to continue anymore falling unconscious, just short of Elena's car.

"Stefan!" Aella exclaimed and shook the vampire with all her might. She glanced over at Frederick, whose screams seemed to have quietened down. Looking to Elena, she frowned, "Why hasn't the car started?"

"Someone tore out the ignition," Elena cried and tried shaking Stefan herself.

Aella checked Stefan's body when she noticed the lack of blood exiting his stomach wound. Her checking became more frenzied, scared he had been injured elsewhere. When Damon had been staked in a similar place, he bled too human-like. Even Harper, with his legs, had bled out slowly once the removal of the stake. This made Aella consider one thing; Stefan was low and blood and needed more... and from the lack of screams coming from Frederick, he needed it soon.

"He needs blood," Aella muttered, and Elena struggled to hear her over the storm. Aella looked to Elena, she needed to get her to a safer place then in the middle of the woods, "Go and lock yourself in the car."

"What?" Elena exclaimed, "No, not without the two of you."

Aella's tears fell out as she stared at her best friend, "I can't protect the two of you. He's after Stefan, not you. Lock yourself in the car and hide. Please."

The stress and emotion in Aella's voice were enough for Elena, it's not like she could fight or have magic powers. Knowing she couldn't be another distraction to Aella, she ran back to the car and did precisely what Aella told her to do. Lock the car and hide. She only hoped that when she would leave the car, her best friend would be there. Unbeknownst to her, Aella muttered a locking spell on the car so no one could enter or exit the vehicle until she lifted the spell or a blood relative could.

Aella stroked Stefan's face, her tears falling directly onto his paler skin. Pulling up the sleeve of her denim jacket, she noticed the lack of rope marks now Stefan was free. With a desperate gasp of breath, she gripped a nearby rock and slashed her wrist, wincing at the sting and placed her wrist into Stefan's mouth, "Drink, Stefan. You have to drink." Looking over her shoulder, she noticed Frederick was no longer there, and she encouraged Stefan to drink with more fury.

Stefan slowly woke, and when his lips tasted the most heavenly blood, he'd ever drunk his eyes widened and met his girlfriends, "No." He tried to pull her wrist away, but he was too weak, and Aella was too determined.

"Yes," She pushed back. "I'm still not strong enough, I need you to be able to fight with me."

"I'm not strong enough to deal with this yet," Stefan cried, he couldn't let himself become the Ripper with Aella around, it would break him. "I can't become him, I'm not strong enough."

"You are strong," Aella cried back, the tears of the two mixing as they slipped down Stefan's face. "You're the strongest person I know. I love you, and I'm not going to lose you. We will deal with that..." She pushed her wrist to his mouth and demanded through clenched teeth, "...now drink."

Stefan's teeth descended at her tone, and his eyes were surrounded by veins as he bit down on Aella's wrist. Aella's head falling back in pain as Stefan moaned, the most delicious blood he'd ever tasted falling down his throat.

.................................................
.................................................

Alaric reloaded his dart gun when a vampire attacked him from behind, as they wrestled to the ground Alaric was able to get the dart and stab the vampire, happily watching him freeze and fall off him immediately. As he got up and checked himself for any wounds, Damon came huffing in, "Frederick's gone."

Alaric knew they couldn't do anything more, "Let's get out of here."

Damon scowled heavily, "I'm gonna kill him."

The two exited the house to head to Damon's car when they were stopped in their tracks at the numerous vampire's headed their way. They slowly began stepping back as Damon asked the teacher, "How many of those vervain darts do you have left?"

Alaric gulped, "One."

With all seriousness, Damon took a more significant step backward, "Not gonna be enough."

.................................................
.................................................

Aella's head fell even further back as her moans of pain became moans of pleasure as Stefan hungrily fed from her wrist. The moans only seemed to echo from Stefan. Aella's eyes snapped open with a loud cry, her eyes only pure white as a bright light poured out of them, with a sudden gust, the light snatched from her and fled into the darkness.

.................................................
.................................................

Damon glanced over at Ric as the vampire drew closer, "So what's the plan, teach?"

Alaric turned to look at Damon in surprise, "Me? You're the two-hundred-year-old vampire, what plan have you got?"

Damon scoffed, his anxiety masked with his sarcasm, "Thought you were a vampire hunter." He pointed to the vampires, "There's vampires, go hunt."

Alaric was silent, so Damon quickly broke the legs of a porch chair and threw one of them to Alaric, "Let's see how you survive this one, Teach."

The two men tightened their grips on the stakes and prepared themselves for a fight until a gust of wind blew the two men backward. The group of vampires fell down to the ground, unconscious.

Alaric looked to Damon, shock filling his body, and by the looks of Damon, the same was happening to him, "What the hell was that?"

Damon could only shake his head, yet his mind only went to one person as he questioned himself, "Pixie?"

.................................................
.................................................

Frederick pulled himself up with the tree he had crawled to as he allowed himself to heal, thankfully he'd had a pretty filling snack on Mrs. Gibbons before he was stabbed by the bitch doppelgänger. As he entered the clearing he had stuck Stefan in, he noticed it was quiet, and Stefan lay still in the clearing. With a smirk, Frederick made his way forward, it looked like the witch and doppelgänger had finally abandoned Stefan.

Standing over Stefan, the vampires back to him, he picked up the stick he'd already stabbed Stefan with, and swore this time he wasn't going to miss the heart. Suddenly his throat was grasped as Stefan Salvatore quickly turned towards him, his eyes glowed goldenly, and without any effort, he picked the vampire from the floor. Stefan removed the stick that was still in his hand and returned the favor from earlier, driving the stake into Frederick's stomach.

Aella emerged from behind another tree as she twirled another stick in her hand. Frederick felt fear as her eyes also shimmered goldenly. As he grimaced down at Stefan, he noticed they matched his, but Stefan's glowed much more. Aella allowed the stick to float in the air for a moment as she smirked at the tomb vampire, "This is for torturing my boyfriend." And before Frederick could make any sound, the stick flew through the air and landed precisely in the center of his heart.

Stefan dropped the vampire's body as it turned grey as Aella ran over to him, neither noticing the glow in each other's eyes. Aella quickly examined her boyfriend, especially where Frederick had stabbed him, "Are you okay?"

Stefan pulled her face to his and kissed her lips, as he pulled her close, taking in her smell, he smiled, "Thanks to you, I am."

"Never scare me like that again, Stefan," Aella warned him, and he chuckled for a moment until she pulled back, and he saw the tears there, and the swollen sewed-up wound. Before he could ask, Aella looked up to him, "Not again."

Stefan nodded solemnly, "Not again." He pulled her into a deep kiss, thankful she had saved him once again.

MYSTIC GRILL

Damon joined Alaric at the bar, they could have both died tonight, they needed this drink. Alaric only glared as Damon sat down. After the vampires had been knocked unconscious, Pearl had arrived and, like everyone else, had no clue where Isobel was.

Damon sighed as the Whiskey slid down his throat, "That was fun." Alaric side glared at him, "Oh, don't look at me like that. I know you hate me. Guess what? Everyone hates me. But you can't deny it. We were badass."

Alaric looked to Damon, his mind focused on the moment all the vampires had collapsed unconscious, "What the hell was that!?"

SALVATORE BOARDING HOUSE

Stefan slammed Aella into the door of his room, his lips eager to touch Aella everywhere that they could. Pulling off his shirt, Aella's hand glided down his muscular torso, taking extra time where he'd been stabbed earlier.

MYSTIC GRILL

Alaric looked to Damon unamused, "You think Aella, tiny Aella Bennett that can hardly pronounce archeology, was able to take out all those vampires without being there?"

"Hey," Damon only shrugged, his memories of their past encounters only proof. "Pixie may be tiny, but she is powerful."

Alaric frowned, "A witch cannot be that powerful, even one from two bloodlines, right?"

Damon swallowed his drink and held up a finger to the teacher, "Except it's never happened before. The Bennett power has been around for centuries, and as their bloodline goes on, it just gets stronger. And her other side? All I know is that it's strong enough that it's been kept hidden from the world.

Alaric's frown deepened, "But to take out a dozen vampires without a mark on her..."

SALVATORE BOARDING HOUSE

Stefan cradled Aella's body as their kissing only intensified as their clothes were torn off their bodies. Stefan's strong arms encircled Aella. Her hands could only tighten around his back, nails scratching down it with force as the feelings only grew more passionate.

Aella let out a moan as Stefan's lips descended on her neck, to a specific spot they knew caused her pleasure.

MYSTIC GRILL

"You said Emily was powerful," Ric wondered out loud to Damon. "She made the tomb after all, could she have done that?"

Damon pondered the question, "Maybe, she was pretty powerful. But she'd have to be there with us and would probably be drained afterward. Aella was fine when we saw her."

SALVATORE BOARDING HOUSE

Stefan pulled away from Aella, his eyes taking in their naked bodies that were entwined as the heavy breathing became in sync. Once again, they were unable to see that each other's eyes lit up the room as they glowed goldenly. Aella pulled Stefan down to her lips, the room darkening as they closed their eyes in satisfaction.

MYSTIC GRILL

"And you know nothing about the other side of her powers?" Alaric question. The bartender had just brought over a bottle of Whiskey, the two nearly halfway down the newly opened bottle.

Damon shook his head, "I know Stefan's friend Lexi is looking, but from what I've asked around, no one seems to know anything about the Samphire Coven."

"Huh," Alaric scoffed around the rim of his glass, and at Damon's raised brow, he spoke it out loud, "Samphire rhymes with vampire."

SALVATORE BOARDING HOUSE

Aella rolled the two of them over, her lips descended on Stefan's neck, his hands pulling through her long tresses as his head fell back with delight. Her lips continued to go further down as her lips examined his torso as her hands had done earlier.

MYSTIC GRILL

Alaric poured the final amount from the bottle into their glasses and asked Damon seriously, "Is she dangerous?"

SALVATORE BOARDING HOUSE

Stefan had enough of the play and rolled Aella back between him and the bed. As they joined as one, the glow spread over their entire bodies and around the room, as the objects in Stefan's bedroom began to float.

And if anyone was looking from the outside, the glow seemed only to get brighter and brighter.

MYSTIC GRILL

Damon examined the last bits of Whiskey, and he shot back the whole glass looking to Alaric as seriously as Alaric had asked the question, "I don't know. But I wouldn't want to be the one that discovers that."

This week has been good for writing, I have been able to write a good beginning to my Game of Thrones fic which will be posted when Part 1 of this story ends, which should be in about 20 weeks/chapters if I'm able to update weekly without issues. Once I start posting that I can start really writing S2 of TVD which is still in planning stages at the moment.
SO! What did we all think of this chapter? I have been desperate to post this chapter since the very beginning since it's an idea that came to me very early on when planning this story and just would not leave. I would LOVE to know:
🔹 favourite part?
