Dante
She found him wandering underneath the streets and convinced him to come with her. Under normal circumstances, he would have declined but the spark in her eyes changed his decision. He had not met many who had heart held such burning passion and who's soul was so pure. Curiosity took hold of him and against better judgment, he gave in.
They walked through the silent streets, the early morning light the only one to bear witness to the odd pair. Slipping through a rusted fence and inside a dilapidated building, they stopped inside a large studio. Floor to ceiling windows let faint streaks of light in, illuminating the various weapons located around the area.
"What are you."
"Straight to the point, aren't we fragile one."
She continued simply staring at me. After a few more painfully silent moments, I answered.
"I neither a threat nor ally to you or your kind. I prefer to stay hidden away."
"Will you be willing to help us?"
Blinking at her, he though for a minute before carefully answering.
"I have not interfered for centuries past and I do not believe in interfering now."
For the first time, something replaced the cold, hard determination. Genuine curiosity creased across her features.
"We thought Infernos only exist for a short while."
Grinning slightly, I answered.
"I'm what your kind call an anomaly. I've been alive since the first of you was been created."
Awe shined in her eyes, enough to make him laugh slightly. Merely seconds ago she had been a stern commander and now she looked like a child first seeing the wonders of the world. How long it had been since he'd seen someone like her.

After their first meeting, they continued talking. She was fascinated with his knowledge, which seemed to never end. Question after question she'd ask her each time he'd find the perfect answer. Though she knew the consequences of communicating with Infernos, she couldn't resist. Something about him drew her in. Like a moth to a flame, they drew dangerously close.
No matter the time, be it night or day, whenever she had free time on her hands, she'd slip into one of the many tunnels under the city. When he first gave her a tour of the catacombs, she was amazed with the sheer size of them. They had been abandoned for centuries and seeing the old memories of past kindled the small child inside her. Eventually, it became a routine to visit him each day and talk, either under the streets or in abandoned areas.
After several meetings, she decided he deserved a name.
"You don't have a name, so I'll name you. I was thinking Dante."
He stared at her in shock before a small smile crept into his face.
".........thank you."
She beamed back, pleased to crack the stoic facade of his. She could sense his underlying need for a companion. After all, it was the same feeling she had every night she stepped into her empty home, cold and uninviting.
Whenever they spoke, a little bit of the steel walls she had built around her started to crack. She was more than aware of the dangers of letting him into her heart, but she couldn't bear to lose the only friend she had in forever. No matter the consequences, no matter how much it may hurt her in the end, her pathetic need for someone else was strong.
How weak.
