Avni's PoV

                    Time passed so soon & it's the day of my engagement I was feeling nervous like all the other girls but mine is a bit different as we both ( me & Neil ) are not interested in marriage & were doing all this for our families. When I spoke to my mom about this she said it is very normal in everyone's case & once you get to know each other well we can live our married life happily.

I know it's still my engagement & there is a month for my marriage but I couldn't get these things out of my mind. I spoke to my bestie Tridha even she is like everything will be okay & just go with the flow. Can me & Neil get along normally with each other, can I start believing in marriage despite of the incident happened with one of my friend.

It was the evening time & I was dressed up in navy blue colour simple lehenga with some jewellery & with some minimal makeup & was looking myself in the mirror.

Avi.... Avi.... I heard Tridha calling me

Haan Tridhu ..... saying this I turned towards her

You're looking beautiful & ..... she complimented me

Thank you.... I replied

Are you ready to go down.... she asked me

I don't know Tridhu.... I said

Awww my baby everything gonna be alright .... saying this she hugged me while I reciprocated

Hope so .... I murmured under my breath

I descended downstairs along with Tridha Neil standing near the stage along with Nidhi di & Arav jiju . It's been only few meetings with Nidhi di but I feel like she is my blood sister the way she take care of me, the way she understands me makes me feel that way I'm the only child so I never knew how does it feels to have a elder sibling & I think now I got one.

Avni you looking beautiful I heard Nidhi di say & moved towards me while taking me into a hug & I quickly mumbled thank you while reciprocating the hug. Don't feel nervous Avni it happens with every girl so just be calm I heard di say to which I simply nodded while having a smile on my face.

I was feeling nervous as I stood on stage along with Neil who is having the same expressions as mine may be he is nervous too. I heard pandit ji asking Neil to slid the ring & my hands started shivering while forwarding them towards him & I saw his hands shivering too when he is about the slid the ring.

A gentle touch made me go weak on my knees & this is the first time our hands touch & it was my turn to slid the ring I saw him forwarding his hand while I got hold on it & I slid the ring. Then we heard people applauding & we took our elders blessings.

Ladies & gentlemen may I have your attention please I wanna thank each one you for your presence for my brother's engagement. Now I'd request the newly engaged couple to have a dance.... I heard Arav jiju say & my nervousness started again

Come Neil & Avni .... saying this Arav jiju started pulling us towards the centre of the hall & we stood facing each other. Song started playing ....

I saw Neil taking a step towards me while forwarding his hand & I placed my cold palm into his warm one while his other hand wrapped around my waist & other hand of mine was placed on his shoulder....

We were dancing perfectly to the music while looking into each other's eyes..

I never imagined that I will be dancing like this that to with a guy but now it's happening....

He twirled me & my back was leaning on to his broad chest & I could feel his hot breathe fanning on my neck & my heart started beating faster than usual....

He made me turn towards him & my eyes met with his hazel brown orbs & we both lost in that moment ...

He bend me on my back without breaking the eye contact while his grip was tightened on my waist & mine was tightened on his shoulder....

We stood still in that position as if time was frozen while our eyes were still locked.

We would've stayed in that position god knows till how long if we haven't heard those applauses. Moving away he stood near Arav jiju while I stood beside Tridha not looking at him. Tridha dragged me towards one corner while I walked silently ....

Tridha : What was that Avi .... I heard I say

Me : What are you talking about Tridhu .... I asked her pretending to be normal when am not

Tridha : you very well what I'm referring to & please do not act smart infront of me.... I heard her say

Me : Tridhu am seriously not understanding what you're talking about.... I asked her calmly

Tridha : fine! You both were lost in each other while dancing & if there was no clapping sound you both would've stayed in that position only.... I heard her say & she is cent percent correct but I cannot let her know that right 😉

Me : it happens sometimes & there is no need to make that as big issue ... I said while rolling my eyes. I knew she wouldn't let go this matter that easily

Tridha : Avi stop this drama & tell me clearly.... she said while pointing her finger towards me & now it's the time to tell her

Me : okay I will tell you but promise me you won't interrupt me in the middle.... I asked her

Tirdha : promise I won't .... I heard her say

Me : taking a deep breath.... I started.....
     Tridhu I won't deny the fact that I've lost in that moment while looking into his eyes. Trust me those eyes were magical I mean they were like more of hypnotising. One more fact is that he is way to handsome & no girl can stop herself from falling for him. The way he respect my parents, the way he talks to them is commendable. I can tell you one thing he is the guy any girl could have ask for...

Tridha : OMG.... the great Avni Mehta is praising a guy & this calls for a celebration ..... she said in excitement

Me : Tridhu am serious.... I said little bit loud

Tridhu : fine! Then you are very lucky to have Neil as your life partner babes.... she said while placing her hand on my shoulder

Me : but am sacred to trust guys Tridhu, you remember that incident ( will be revealed later ) right.... I said in a calm tone

Tridhu : I know sweetheart but may be he is different from others.... I heard her say & I was about to reply but my mom's voice interrupted us

Mom : you both are here & we were searching everywhere... I heard I say

Tridha : yeah aunty actually there was a problem with her lehenga so we were just sorting out.... I heard her say while I nodded my head in yes . I know we both lied but we cannot spill the truth!

Mom : oh okay! Is everything okay now Avi .... I heard her asking

Me : yes mom... I replied while looking towards Tridha

Mom : okay then let's go... saying this she moved while we both followed her

Me & Tridha were standing near the stage talking normally & suddenly my eyes met his & we shared an eye-lock. Though he stood in a distance my heart started racing & all I could imagine is our dance the way he hold my waist, the way our bodies touched, the way we lost ourselves in that moment, the way we shared an intense eye-lock.
