*Megan POV*
I'm woken up in the morning to the sound of a guitar. I open my eyes and sit up and see Joey playing with my guitar.
"What are you doing" I ask
"Tuning your guitar. It was way off tune" he says
"Ok" I say
"Chad said there's breakfast on the table and your brothers said we'll leave when you're ready" he says
"Ok now leave" I say
He gets up from where he was sitting and leaves taking my guitar with him. I get dressed then go downstairs. I go to the kitchen to see my brothers (older and younger), Caleb, and Chad sitting at the table eating.
"You hungry" Chad asks
"Sure" I say
"What do you want" Chad asks
"Bacon and pancakes" I say
He gets up from the table and pulls a plate out of the oven and puts it in front of me.
"Thank you" I say
I sit down and start eating. Once I'm done eating I put my plate in the sink and go to the living room where Joey is at.
"Did you eat already" I ask
"Yeah. I don't like stealing people's food" he says
"Yeah that's a funny story" I say
"Jewel and I went out for breakfast early this morning after our jog" Joey says
"More believable but you don't jog" I say
"Ok ok jewel wanted to go to this new restaurant but not by herself so we turned it into a date" he says
"There you go" I say
My older brothers come in and over to us.
"You guys ready" Joey asks
They nod their heads and we go to the door.
"Bye Chad and Caleb" we say
"Bye" they say
We go out to Liam's car and get in. Luke sits up front with Liam and Joey and I sit in the back. Liam starts the car and heads to the state prison. We get there and go inside. We go up to the front desk.
"Hello" an officer asks
"Hi we're here to talk with a Jackson and a folk" Liam says
"Are you her children" the officer asks
"All but me. Her daughter won't talk to her mother unless if I'm with her" Joey says
"Ok. Do you all want to go together or one at a time" officer asks
"Two at a time. My brothers will go first" I say
*Luke POV*
We follow the officer to a room and we sit down. Across from us our mom and grandma are seated.
"Um who are you" mom asks Liam
"I'm Anthony Liam Jackson. Luke's twin" Liam says
"Oh well did you guys finally meet" Wendy, my mom, says
"Yeah we did how could you hide him from us Wendy?" I ask
"You have no right to call me by my first name. I am your mother" Wendy says
"No you are not Kelsey is my mom and Caleb is my dad. They love and care about me unlike you" I say
"Well when did you two meet up" Wendy asks
"After Matt wanted custody of us. He didn't care about us either so we came back here" Liam says
"Well I knew he was never a good father" Wendy says
"I told you to marry a different man" Jane, my grandma, says
"Mother just shut up" Wendy says
"Now boys how are your little brothers? Are they scarred for life" Jane asks
"No they aren't. They have a happy family and still live with Megan. They live with Chad and Fallon so we still get to see them" I snap
"Let's just leave Luke" Liam says
"Oh yeah send your sister in" Jane says evily
Liam and I get up and walk out Megan looks at us and I just shake my head. I walk out of the police station and sit on a bench out there.
*megan POV*
Luke goes outside and Liam sits down.
"Next" the officer says
Joey and I stand up and go in. We sit down and I look at my hands.
"How have you been Calisia" Wendy taunts
"Good now that you're in jail" I say
"Aww does my little Megan have a boyfriend yet" Jane asks
"Yeah I do. We have a great Christ centered relationship" I say
"Oh you still follow that doofus" Wendy asks
"Actually Wendy yes. Yes I do. And I'm happy. I have a great life. I have friends, a big family, and a job. Why can't you be happy for me? Ever" I yell
"You are an unappreciative b***h. You are a slut. I can't believe I didn't give you up forever. Once I get out of here you are getting killed. I am getting revenge. On you and your siblings. And those who have helped you. Especially Chad and this guy right here" Wendy yells
I get up and run out. I hear footsteps behind me. I go outside and run past Luke. I keep running till I'm out of breath and my sight is blurry from tears. I sit on a bench and continue crying. I hear someone walking up and sit down beside me. I look up and see that it's Joey. He pulls me I to a hug and I cry into his chest.
"Why is this happening Joey? Does she really hate me" I ask
"No of course not. She's just blinded by the hate of satan. She didn't listen to God and got taken over by Satan. But she can't get to you anymore. They got on recording about her threatening to kill us and she's being locked up for life. And your grandma is to" he says
"I can't do this Joey. I can't keep going on with this life. I hate it." I cry
"Megan if I could or Chad could we would take all that pain and weight from you. Live the life you are. We want to protect you. We're trying out best but Satan is trying to get in the way. Things will get better eventually" he says
"Thanks Joey" I say
"No problem Megan. I'll always be here for you" he says
I lean my head on his shoulder and close my eyes. Joey starts twirling my hair and singing just fall. Shortly I'm asleep.
*Joey POV*
Once I finish singing I look down and see Megan asleep. I pick her up bridal style and walk back to the police station. I get there and see Liam sitting on one bench and Luke on another. I go over to Liam and he looks up at me.
"Take Megan to the car and drive back to Chad's and put her to bed. I'm gonna try to Luke and we'll just walk home." I say
"Ok" he sighs
"You ok" I ask
"Yeah" he smiles
"I'll talk with you about this later" I say
He takes Megan from me and goes to the car. Once he drives off I go over to Luke and sit down next to him.
"Ok what's the matter? What happened in there" I ask
"She yelled at me for calling her by her first name. She didn't like the idea of Kelsey and Caleb being my mom and dad. She was making fun of me, Liam, and our younger brothers" Luke says
"Hey don't worry about what she says. Just forget it. You don't have to worry about her anymore. Your brothers are happy and have a good life. Your sister is getting there. She's becoming a lot happier. Liam was discovered. He lives near you guys. You're alive. You still get to see your siblings. You three older kids all have great Christ centered relationships and have great friends and families." I say
"Thanks Joe. Now what happened with Megan" Luke asks
"Wendy and Jane cursed her out and stuff. They told her she was first on the kill list. They both got locked up again but for the rest of their lives. She fell asleep after I talked with her so I sent her home with Liam so I could talk with you" I say
"Oh ok" he says
"Hey so Spencer is on a date. Shall we go spy on him" I ask
"Of course" Luke says
We get up and head to the park where Spencer told me his date is at. We get to the park and see them sitting in the grass eating food.
"Are you able to climb a tree" I ask
"Yeah" Luke says
We go over to a tree and climb it. We make ourselves hidden but still be able to see them.
"What the heck are they doing" Luke asks
I look down and don't see them anymore. I look around and see them racing.
"Call Spencer and put it on speaker. Let's mess with him" I say
"You call him" Luke says
I pull my phone out and call Spencer but put it on speaker.
S- hey Joe what do you need? I'm kind of busy.
L-you're late
S-what the heck Luke
J-dude give my my phone back
S-guys I'm hanging up
J-no don't it's important
S-what
L-make sure you don't forget to sing to Suzy
S-why
J-dude never mind but you're missing a sick basketball game
L-Nicole says she's gonna break you car
J-Luke you're not suppose to lie
S-ugh how was the thing with your mom Luke
L-it was ok. She cursed out Megan and threatened to kill her, Joey, and Chad. Then she are fun of me and Liam and our little brothers
S-awe I'm sorry bro
J-Spencer watch out behind you Suzy's gonna hit you with a bat
I hang up and watch Spencer turn around. He sees Suzy behind him then looks around.
"That was great" Luke laughs
"Yeah it was" I say
After a few minutes Spencer and Suzy leave so we get out of the tree.
"You're it" Luke yells and runs onto the playground
I take off after him and tackle him to the ground.
"Boys" we hear someone tell
We stop wrestling and look up to see Alan.
"Really Alan do you have to be everywhere" I ask
"Hey I only brought my girls here to play. I didn't think I'd see to morons here." Alan says
"Joey I heard Megan went to see her mom. How did it go" Dylan asks walking over
"Not good but I talked with her and she's sleeping at home at the moment" I say
"Ok" he says
Dylan runs back off to the girls and Alan still glares at us.
"What" I ask
"Why were you guys wrestling" Alan asks
"Because we're guys and that's what we do" Luke says
"Whatever" Alan says
He walks off and Luke and I go back to wrestling. After a while we get tired so we stop.
"We should probably head back" Luke says
"Yeah" I say
We get up from the grass and start walking to Chad's. We get back and go inside.
"Why are you two sweating" Fallon asks
"We were wrestling at the park" Luke says
"Why were you at the park" Chad asks
"We might've been Spying on Spencer then called him and messed with him" I say
"Joseph Patrick Stamper and Lucas Cody Grimm I am disappointed in you. I thought we raised you better then that" Caleb scolds
"I'm sorry daddy we'll behave" we say
"Thank you" Caleb says
"Where's Liam at" I ask
"He went back to his house" Chad says
"Ok" I say
"You ready to leave Luke" Caleb ask
"Yeah" Luke says
They leave and I sit on the couch next to Chad. He turns to me and opens his mouth to speak but I stop him.
"Don't ask how it went. You probably already know how it went. And Wendy and Jane are now in jail for life. Don't bring it up with the three older kids because it's now a touchy subject for them." I say
"Ok" Chad says
"I'm going to talk with Liam and then I'm heading home" I say
"Ok" he says
I go outside and walk to Liam's. I get there and knock on the door. A couple seconds later Liam opens the door.
"Hey Joe What's up" Liam asks
"Well I need to talk with you" I say
"I'm busy" he says
"Doing what" I ask
"Cleaning my house" he says
"Liam I think we should talk about today" I say
"I think we don't" he says
"Yeah well I disagree. What's one thing that you disliked about this morning" I ask
"That I wasn't able to help my siblings. That my parents and grandma treated them that way. Why wasn't I able to protect them or help them" he asks
I go inside and pull him to the couch we sit down and he starts crying.
"You want to know why" I ask
"Yeah" he says
"Because sometimes it takes more than just direct family to comfort someone. Sometimes it's easier to talk to someone not related to them." I say
"But it just frustrates me. I'm their older brother. I should be able to" he yells
"Liam calm down. You just need to let your siblings go to people or go to them. You all have this problem. And four of you boys have a anger issue. You need to stay calm and control it or I'll lock you in a Liam proof room." I say
"Ok ok. I'm good" he says
"Alright. Now I'm sorry your siblings didn't go to for help and that you weren't able to help them. Is there anything else you wanna talk about" I ask
"No I'm good night Joey" he says
"Night Liam" I say
I leave and get in my car. I start it and drive home. I go inside to see all three kids, Nicole, and Jewel in the living room laughing, pizza boxes in the floor, and Alvin and the chipmunks road chipped on tv.
"I'm back" I say
"Hi daddy" Jason says
"Hey Jase. Shouldn't you be in bed" I ask
"No. Mommy said I didn't have to. She said I could stay up till you got home. Now leave" Jason says
"Oh is that so" I ask
"Yep. Now bye bye dada" he says
I swoop him up and he squeals. I run upstairs and place him in bed.
"Goodnight Bub" I say
"Night daddy" he says
I tuck him in then go back downstairs.
"Ok Why is Nicole here" I ask
"Well I invited her over and Jewel said it was ok. And we wanted to hear how it went" Casey says
"It didn't go to good. Wendy and Jane made fun of her brother's then cursed out Megan and threatened to kill me, her, and Chad" I say
"Is Megan ok" Nicole asks
"She's hanging in there. I talked with he rafter it. We just can't bring it up to any of them" I say
"Ok" they say
"Hey baby I'm leaving" jewel says
"Why don't you just spend the night. It's getting really late" I say
"Ok" jewel says
"I'm going to bed" Tyler says
"Ok. Girls bed time for you two as well" I say
The groan but go upstairs. I'm about to go upstairs but I feel Jewel grab my arm.
"You ok" she asks
"Yeah I'm fine. It's just been a long and stressful day" I say
"Ok. I'm here if you need to talk" she says
"I know. I love you" I say
"Love you too" she says
"You know where the guest room is right" I ask
"Joey can I please sleep with you tonight. I think you need a cuddle buddy." Jewel begs
"Alright" I sigh
We go upstairs to my room and get in bed. I lay down and quickly fall sound asleep.
