*Nicole POV*
We get to the hospital and run inside. We find Jess and Spencer and run over to them. Jess runs over to us and we hug her. Brian picks her up and she buries her head in his shoulder.
"Have you heard anything yet" I ask
"No not yet. They're still trying to evaluate her and she's in surgery. They said it was pretty bad" Spencer says
He comes over to me and wraps me in a hug.
"It will be all right" he says
"How can you say that" I ask
"Because God is with us. He will do his will" he says
"Family of Beth Jones" a doctor says
We turn and walk up to him.
"Ok so she's in critical condition. Her heart stopped twice but we were able to revive her. She's in a coma and there's a 45% chance of survival" the doctor says
"C-can we go see her" I ask
"Yes two at a time. I'll show you the room" he says
"Brian and Nicole go. I'll stay out here with Jess" Spencer says
Brian passes Jess over to Spencer and we follow the doctor. We go into the room and I head right over to the bed. Brian comes over and hugs me.
"Why Brian. Why is everyone against us" I cry
"What do you mean" he asks
"Megan's family, Casey's family, and now ours. Why" I cry
"This is just part of God's plan. He saved Megan when you three came out here. Chad loves her a lot and cares about her. Casey got to be in Nashville with Megan and learned who her cousin was. We got to come out here. You got to stay with your best friends and learn who your cousin is. Everything that has happened to us God had a purpose for it and reason behind it" he says
"Thanks Bubby I love you" I say
"Love you too. Let's let Jess and Spencer have a turn" he says
"Ok" I say
We go out to the waiting room and over to Spencer and Jess.
"Jess said she was tired so she's asleep. The others are probably worried about us so we should head back to Chad's" Spencer says
"Did you want to go see her" Brian asks
"It's okay. I'll jut come tomorrow" Spencer says
"No go see my mom. We'll wait for you" I say
"Ok" he says
He walks off towards the room. After ten minutes he comes ball and we head out to the cars. Jess goes with Spencer and I go with Brian. We get to Chad's and go inside. As soon as I'm in view the girls run over to me.
"Is your mom ok" Casey asks
"Are you ok" Megan asks
"She has a 45% chance of living. She's in a coma right now. And I'm hanging in there" I say
I go over to the guys and they hug me.
"Can you three talk to Brian please" I ask
"Sure why" Chad asks
"I know this is bothering him and he's trying to be strong for me and Jess. I just need you three to talk with him and be there for him as he cries. Take Tyler and Luke with too if you want" I say
"Ok"Caleb says
"Nicole I'm going to head to your house so Jess can go to bed. You can either come with me or with Brian or sleepover with one of the girls" Spencer says
"She's sleeping over" Megan and Casey say
"Ok" Spencer says
He leaves and we go upstairs to Megan's room.
"So what all happened" Megan asks
"My moms heart collapsed twice during surgery. They were able to save her but they don't know if she's going to live or not." I cry
The girls move closer and wrap me in a hug. After a few minutes there's a knock at the door.
"Who is it" Megan asks
"Luke" we hear
"Come in" Casey says
Luke comes in and comes over to the bed. The girls get up and walk out of the room closing the door.
*Caleb POV*
Megan and Casey come downstairs and slump onto the floor.
"What's wrong" I ask
"Nothing" they says
"I don't believe you" Chad and Joey say
"Well it's true do you better believe us" Megan says
"Yeah" Casey says
"Girls you don't have to be strong" Joey says
"We know that Mrs. Jones is like a mom to you two both" Chad says
"No. We have to be strong for our sibling and for Nicole" Casey says
I get up from where I'm sitting and sit on the floor between the two. They both lean their heads on my shoulder.
"We care about you girls very much. We want to help you" I say
"But we've already put you guys through so much" Megan says
Chad and Joey also get up from the couch and sit on either side on the girls.
"We don't care. Casey I'm your cousin. I want to be there for you and help you" Joey says
"Megan I'm practically your dad. I think of you as my little girl even if you are almost 16. I want to help you get through struggles and be by your side. I don't want you to be fighting your battles by yourself." Chad says
"I'm going to go talk with Brian and Tyler" I say
"Ok where's Jason" Joey asks
"The wives took Jason, Owen, and Nick to your place" I say
"Ok" Joey says
I get up and walk outback. I get out there and see Tyler and Brian crying. I go over there and sit down next to Brian.
"Did someone tell my dad yet" he asks
"I'm not sure. Do you want me to go call him" I ask
"No. Tyler you have his number. Can you go call him" Brian asks
"Yeah" Tyler says
Tyler gets up and walks off.
"Ok what's wrong" I ask
"We need to go do something all of us. This whole thing has us separated into groups. Nicole and Luke. Me and Tyler. Casey and Megan. Your guys somewhere in between. Jess and Spencer then the little ones" Brian says
"What do you suggest" I ask
"I don't know. Maybe a jam session or something. Something fun to get our minds off of this whole thing" Brian says
"Ok. I'll talk with the guys. Maybe we'll just have a sleepover and Jam session" I say
"Ok" he says
Tyler comes back and I walk back inside. I go to the living room and motion for Joey and Chad to get up. They gently lay the girls on the couches since they fell asleep and we go out front.
"Brian wants us all to do something to get everyone's minds off of what has been happening. I was thinking a sleepover and jam session" I say
"Ok. You text Spencer and I'll text the wives" Chad says
"Should we invite the Powell's" Joey asks
"Yeah. You text them" I say
We pull out our phones and send the texts.
C-having a jam session and sleepover. Come over with Jess
S-isn't it a little late
C-no. So you coming
S-yeah. We'll be there soon.
I put my phone away just as the other two do.
"They're on their way" we say
"I have to run home and grab my guitar" Joey says
"Ok" Chad says
*Chad POV*
Joey leaves and Caleb and I head inside. We get inside and see Tyler and Brian on the floor asleep.
"I'm going to go check on Nicole and Luke" I say
"Ok" Caleb says
I go upstairs and to Megan's room. I knock on the door then slowly open it. I look in to see the two of them asleep on the bed. I close the door and go back downstairs.
"They're asleep too" I say
"We'll wake them up once everyone gets here" Caleb says
After about 20 minutes everyone is here.
"Spencer can you wake these four up. I'm going to wake up the two upstairs" I say
"Ok" he says
I go upstairs and into Megan's room.
"Nicole Luke it's time to wake up. The others are over." I say
They open their eyes and just stare at me.
"Why are they here" Nicole whines
"We're having a sleepover and a jam session" I say
"Oh sweet. Is Megan and Brian singing and playing" Luke asks
"I'll make them is they aren't" I say
"Ok" Nicole says
I grab Megan's guitar case and they follow me downstairs. We get down there and Megan and Casey are chasing Brian and Tyler around the house. Luke sticks his foot out and makes Megan trip.
"Lucas" she yells
"Woah guys it's 1:30 in the morning. Other people are asleep" Alan says
"Alan" the girls cheer
They run over to him and tackle him.
"Um hey ladies what's going on" Alan asks
"We haven't seen you in ages" Nicole says
"Yeah" Megan and Casey agree
"Well that's nice to know you care but please get off" Alan says
They get off and I help Alan up. Casey goes over to Joey and hops on his back. Megan hops on Luke's and Nicole hops on Brian's.
"I want a piggy back ride" Jess says
"You can get on mine" Spencer says
She hops on Spencer's then all the other kids want to be on someone's back. AJ gets on Caleb's. Presley gets on Alan's. Jason is put on Tyler's and Nick is in mine. Then Fallon is holding Owen and Rowe is on Brycie's back.
"Now what" Megan asks
"Let's go for a walk" Casey says
"Yeah walk" Nick and Jason cheer
"It's 2:30 in the morning. You really want to go on a walk" Jewel asks
"Yes" we all say
"Baby you really haven't met us if you're questioning this" Joey says
"Yeah" Casey says
"I've only known them for like 7 months and I know not to question this" Tyler says
"Woah ok. Casey you're suppose to be on my side" Jewel says
"Sorry but- I can't believe I'm saying this- Joey is right. We do the most absurd things" Casey says
"Hey I take that offensively" Joey shouts
"Good" Casey says
Joey let's go of her and Casey drops. However, it's not a far drop so she's ok.
"Let's go Jewel. We're obviously not wanted here" Casey says
"Wait" Megan yells
"We're coming to" Nicole says
They get off our backs and Nicole, Megan, Casey, and Jewel walk out the door leaving the rest of us standing in my living room.
"What just happened" Joey asks
"You just got sasses by four sassafras's" Caleb says
"Ugh. Now what do we do" Joey asks
"Daddy I want to go on a walk" Jason says
"Yeah daddy" Nick says
Joey grabs Jason from Tyler and puts him on his shoulders.
"Then a walk we shall go on"Joey says
We go outside and see the girls fooling around in the grass. I set Nick on the ground by Fallon and run over there. I grab Casey and Nicole and lift them in the air.
"Chadwick set us down" Casey yells
"No way." I say
"Chadwick set them down or I'll have to punish you" Megan says
"How are you gonna do that" I ask
"Wrestle you" she says
I set the girls down and walk over to Megan.
"Um Chad" jewel says
"Yes" I ask
"You just got outsmarted" she says
"How" I ask
"You aren't holding Nicole or Casey anymore" she says
"Dang it" I say
I grab Megan before she can run away and throw her over my shoulder then head down the sidewalk. Shortly everyone else catches up.
"Chadwick set me down" Megan says
"Chad how long has she been saying that" Fallon asks
"I don't know. I started tuning her out" I say
"Ok Chad. Set her down" Alan says
"You're lucky Alan's here" I whisper as I set her down
"I know" she says
She picks Nick up and walks ahead of everyone. After a half hour of walking around, sharing stories, and laughs we return to my place.
"Ok let's play some music" Spencer says
"Spence did you bring my tumba drum" Brian asks
"Yeah. It's in my car" Spencer says
"Ooh Tyler I have my keyboard in my car in the trunk can you and Luke go get it" Joey asks
"Sure" Tyler says
The boys go outside and Alan and Joey get their guitars out of their cases.
"Chad where's my guitar it's not in my room" Megan yells
"Oh it's downstairs. With Joey's and Alan's cases" I yell back
She runs down the stairs and over to her case.
"I want to decorate this case so I know it's mine" she says
"Ok. We'll go to the store some time this week to get you supplies" Fallon says
The boys come in and Luke sets the keyboard up.
"Wait Luke you're gonna play" Megan asks
"Um yeah" Luke says
"Wow looke here. The Jacksons got talent" I say
"Can we please just sing" Casey asks
"What song" Caleb asks
"Veggie tales" Nick yells
"Wait then Megan and I have to go grab our Tubas" Brian says
"Wait you still have my tuba" Megan asks
"You have a tuba" Nicole asks
"Yes" Megan and Brian say
They go outside ad return shortly with a very big and long bin. They open it up and inside is a whole slew of cases of instruments. They each grab out a tuba and get it ready.
"Ok ready" Megan says
"Same" Brian says
They start playing and we all join in. Once we finish they put their tubas away.
"Megan why do you have to be so talented" Casey whines
"Yeah Brian why do you have to be so talented" Nicole whines"
"Just the gifts God gave us" Megan says
"Amen to that" Joey says
"Ok now what song" Spencer asks
"Klove mashup 1 and 2" Nicole says
"Alright. Megan you better grab your guitar. Kelsey you want to sing with us" Alan asks
"Sure." Kelsey says
We're about to start when there's a knock.
"That must be Donny. I told him we'd be here" Jewel says
She gets up and opens the door. And what do ya know in walks Donald.
"Hey bro. We're just about to sing Love you like the movies" Joey says
"Sweet mind if I join" Donny asks
"Not at all. Did you bring your kazoo" I ask
"Chadwick he is not using a kazoo in this song" Casey yells
"Woah calm down cous. What instrument should I play" Donald asks
"Brian do you have your ukulele" Nicole asks
"Yeah" Brian says
"Play it Donny" Casey says
He grabs the ukulele and those with instruments start. We shortly start singing and by the middle of the song we're all singing and dancing to the song.
"Ok let's sleep" I say
"Chad I'm not tired" Megan says
"Me neither" Casey and Nicole says
"Yeah but the rest are" I say
"Let's go girls. We're going to go do something" Joey says
He looks at me and I already know what he's going to do.
"I'm coming" I say
"Same" Spencer says
"I'm not. I'm sleeping" Alan says
"I'll stay to put the kids to bed" Donny and Caleb say
Jewel stands up and follows us out the door.
"Don't get kicked out of anywhere again" she says
"Us. Do that?" Megan says
"I give up" jewel says
She goes back inside and we get into Joey's car.
"Not everyone is going to fit" Spencer says
"I say put Spencer in the trunk" Nicole says
"I agree" Casey says
"I don't know. I think Joey will fit better. Or Casey" I say
"I vote Casey" Joey says
"I vote Casey" Spencer says
"Ok Megan who do you choose" Joey asks
"Um why doesn't Casey just sit on the floor or my lap" she asks
"Softy" I yell
"Oh well" she says
We get everyone situated then Joey drives off. We get to our destination and get out. We walk towards Walmart and as soon as we go through the doors our adventure begins.
