"You're going to be fine." Emric pulled me closer and kissed where he bit me and took in my scent, somehow in the process it calmed me too. We walked to his parent's house talking about the pack and his family.

"Mom we're home!" Em yelled from the door and it made me nervous, I was finally about to meet his parents, officially no lust crazed wolf to sedate, no problem that needed solving, I was going to meet his parents and that scared the shit out me.

"Hey, hey it's okay, nothing will happen, they're actually really cool and they have been waiting to meet you, remember they love your food." It was different to give something without them knowing me in person, now it was happening.

But I had to suck it up, I had been involved in a wolf fight, I could do this, but honestly, no one could ever be ready to meet the parents of his boyfriend, you never know what to expect, were we even boyfriends anymore. That was uncharted territory.

I held onto Em when his parents came from the backyard. "Look at you guys, you look so good together." Mrs. Everlin gushed and I felt a faint flush creep onto my cheeks.

"Come here Linden, we don't bite, technically I'm your father in law, give me a hug." It felt so good, to be hugged by a father, I felt safe and protected, like every child would feel if they were in the arms of a father and I appreciated that feeling.

"Thank you." He winked at me and let me go, I understood where Emric got his looks, he was almost a replica of his dad but he got some features from his mom.

"Come on, I've been waiting for a while to cook with you, those treats you always sent for us, are absolute heaven." She squealed dragging me off to the kitchen. "I'm gonna be okay." I spoke through the link to my mate. That felt so good to say.

"Mister big shot over there was afraid of spiders and he still keeps his nightlight on, don't tell him I know, but a mother always does." We had been cooking for a while and I found myself relaxed and smiling whilst Mrs. Everlin told me stories about Emric and Train when they were little.

"I promise I won't." I reply. "Then there is Train, dressed up as Rapunzel to put on a show for the pack kids." I burst out laughing, I couldn't imagine the scene of sheer embarrassment from Train. "That must have been torture for him." She hummed.

"Didn't talk to anyone for a week, I will show you the pictures later, now show me how you make mild curry sauce." I nod and begin showing her how I did it and never followed the recipe.

"Hey baby." I smile toward the possessive male who walks into the kitchen. "Hey, we're just about done and here." I handed him his muffins and juice. "Thanks." He mumbled with a kiss to my cheek he had gone to the dining room to devour his food. Mrs. Everlin kept laughing.

"How did you know?" It was obvious by now that my mate had a high metabolism, he burned through food in 4 and half hour cycles, so by now, I knew he was hungry. "I've known him for two or more months now, I've learned my man." Mrs. Everlin laughed again and we high fived.

"Honey, I'm hungry too." Mr. Everlin whines looking at his wife and I, I shoved a plate of muffins toward him, I knew this wouldn't ruin dinner. They were wolves. "Best son ever." I smiled toward the man who happily joined his son in eating.

"It's good having you here Linden, you're good for him." I replied with a smile knowing there wasn't anything in words I could say. We set the table and that's when Train decided to show up.

"Yay food made by Linden!" He announced and I laughed at his childish behavior, whilst he rubbed his hands together waiting to eat. "Thank you." Emric took his food and when I sat down we all began to eat.

Laughter filled the table as we ate, it was different than dinner at home, and I was really happy about it. I never knew family could actually feel so good, with mine being so separated. I was glad to be welcomed into this one.

After dinner, I said my farewell to the Everlins, and called mom to tell her I was sleeping over at Emric's house, in which she demanded I be safe. We were now in the alpha suite of the packhouse and it was really comfortable.

"My stomach is full, now it's time for me to fill you with something else." Emric smirked looking at me, I had just come from a good shower which involved a lot to be jumped by a lust filled wolf. Who was I to deny satisfaction.
