Hermione wanted to make it up to Harry. She went to his office and knocked on his door ignoring all of the stares she was getting. Harry opened the door, he looked tired and stressed. "hey Harry, do you want to go to lunch together?"

Harry shook his head, "I'm very busy sorry."

"well maybe we can eat here and I can help you." Hermione insisted.

Harry shook his head again, "I can do it myself Hermione, please leave."

Hermione reached out to grab his arm and like magic (quite literally) their lips crashed together in a soft kiss. Hermione pulled away panicked, "I'm so sorry."

Harry stood there speechless, he never had a kiss like that. Hermione ran off and he was still standing there with a shocked expression and red cheeks until he noticed all the people looking at him. He quickly cleared his throat and closed the door to his office again, this was going to be a bigger problem than he thought.

Draco bumbed into Hermione on her way back into her office. He chuckled, "you look like you just saw merlin in actual pink panties."

Hermione glared at him, "if it wasn't for your friends I wouldn't look like this."

Draco smirked, this was about Harry. "you should just come to terms with the idea that Potter is your soul mate."

"I'm supposed to end up with Ron not Harry" Hermione insisted.

Draco rolled his eyes, he really didn't understand gryffindors but he knew they liked a challenge and their egos to not be hurt. "I bet, Potter would dodge a bullet."

Hermione wanted to hex him then and there, "what is that suppose to mean!?"

Draco laughed, "Potter wouldn't want to go on a date with you, that's all."

Hermione looked beyond furious, "he would if I asked him to one."

Draco leaned down, "prove it then."

Hermione huffed leaving angrily and slamming her door. Draco sighed happily, he wasn't hexed!

Ron had met up with Harry to have a small business meeting between the two but Harry just couldn't focus. "Harry? Are you even listening to me?"

Harry snapped out of his thoughts, "sorry, I just have my mind somewhere else."

Ron chuckled, "maybe a kiss shared between you and Hermione?"

Harry rolled his eyes trying to play it off, "Don't be ridiculous Ron. It's more like about this stupid potion."

Ron raised an eyebrow, "is that why you two are in this situation? What's the potion supposed to affect?"

Harry bit his lip, as much as he didn't feel comfortable telling Ron he needed more help. "well I had a fight with Ginny and I was feeling down and so was Hermione cause she still..." Harry gestured to Ron, "you know. So we went out for a drink and at one moment we saw Draco, Astoria, Pansy, Blaise, Daphne and Theodore so we went over to them. At one point we were drunk and told them what was happening and before either one of us could realise Blaise and Theodore put a potion on our last drink. It was a soulmate potion, to be happy with our soulmate. "

"so you two are soulmates? That explains a lot actually." Ron chuckled sitting back on his chair. "I knew there was a logical reason for what happened. So what's the problem with all of that?"

Harry couldn't believe Ron was acting so calm about all of this. "Ron I don't think you heard correctly, she likes you."

"you're her soulmate and I don't like her." Ron said casually.

"and she doesn't like me so we just need to find out a way to cancel this potion. Don't forget that Ginny will probably kill me the next time she sees me and quite honestly I deserve it. I cheated and messed up everything."

Ron laughed, "I highly doubt Ginny is going to do that. I caught her and Luna yesterday kissing maybe it was oddly beneficial for her."

Ginny moved on quickly, Harry thought. Good for her but it made his heart break a little more. Now he was stuck with a soul mate who didn't even want him and his ex had just found someone that makes them happy. Ron smiled, "I can see why you and Hermione are soul mates though. Maybe she'll move on from me and you two can just be happy."

Harry shook his head, "highly doubt that. We don't like each other in any other way than just friends."

Ron shrugged, "you never know. By the way, we need to hang out more outside of work. Let's have dinner and watch something tonight, I miss my best friend."

Harry nodded in agreement, "I like that idea. See you tonight."

That night Ron ans Harry were in his living room watching a movie and eating takeout and crisps. "what's your plan with all of this soul mate thing?" Ron asked.

Harry raised an eyebrow looking at him, "what do you mean?"

"to get together with Mione of course."

Harry shrugged, "there's no plan other than getting rid of the effects of the potion."

Ron frowned, he knew Harry better than anyone. He could see he was conflicted with all of this but he was going to support him in any sort of way. He knew that if the shoe was on the other foot Harry wouldn't hesitate on helping him. That's what friends were for.
