Aphmau's P.O.V
I wake up to the irritable sound of my alarm clock. Annoyed at my awakening, I grasp a nearby book and smack the clock. Had to put up with that thing for years, now I don't!
"Aphmau honey. It's time to get up!" My mum calls up the stairwell.
"Coming!" I call back quickly. Maybe I can get one more minute? No, wait, five. I turn over. Of course, I roll off, ending up on the floor. Oww! I wince as I pick myself up.
"Quick! I'll eat the extra pancake!" She called again. She wouldn't dare. Wait, would she? I was not going to take that chance. I sprint to the closet and throw on some clothes. Today I was going apartment shopping, I felt that it was time for me to move out. Plus I didn't have to worry about hiring people to move my stuff. Garroth, Dante, Laurance and Travis were all happy to help when I asked them if they would. I secured my bun in the mirror and looked at my outfit. I had dressed professional today, Maybe it'll help? I had thought. You never know.

I practically threw myself down the stairs. No one is eating my extra pancake. I sat down quickly and stared at my mother eagerly. She grinned and dished the pancakes up and I made sure that she had given me the extra one.
"So," she began, eyeing me up curiously. "What are you doing today?"
"Mum, you already know that I'm going apartment shopping. I feel that it's time for me to move out and start my life." I rush for the sixteenth time that week.
"Honey, it's just. I'm not ready to lose my baby." She replied gazing into my eyes.
"I'll visit you every weekend! Or maybe even more than that. It depends on my schedule."
"Your schedule! Oh my gosh, you are growing up to fast! You sound like a grown up!"
"Mum! I'm eighteen. Trust me, I'm not going to leave you. Well, I am but I'll visit as much as I can."
She sighed, "You better. You're my only child and I love you too much to lose you."
"Thanks mum. Well, I better head off. Breakfast was great mum. Love you!"
"Love you too!"

Aaron's P.O.V
I look up from my phone and then look back down at it. Is this the place? Suddenly, I receive a text.

(M stand for mum in this case and A for Aaron.)

M: Hope the apartment shopping goes well! Will see you later. xx

A: Thanks mum. See you soon.

I shut off my phone, trusting that I'm in the right place. This has to be it. I walk through the front doors of the apartment building and walk up to the front desk. A woman in about her mid-thirties looks up.
"Hi. How may I help you?" She asks helpfully.
"Hi. I'm currently looking to buy an apartment. I was just wondering if I could have a look at one of the ones available."
"Sure! Just follow me. Other people are looking at apartments to buy here too. We are only letting them see one room so other other people will be in there." she replies as she gets up from her desk.
"Oh." I say as I pull my hood over my hair.
"Did you say something?" she says as we reach the elevator.
"Oh, it's nothing." I reply, not wanting to cause trouble.

We finally reach floor 7 and get out. I follow the woman whose name is Jennifer according to her name tag.
"Right through here." She says as we approach room number 353. I notice that there is also another room for sale across from it, room number 352. She swipes a card and we enter the room. There is already a few people inside, chatting about the room and pointing things out. Trying to see if the room is for them. I can here some of their conversations very easily but choose to ignore them.

Jennifer gives me a tour of the place and I follow her, nodding after she speaks. I look out of a large window in the lounge area whilst Jennifer gives me a full description of what we can see. The window lets you see across most of the main town and also a bit of sea quite further on. She also tells me that the window faces east, allowing the owner to see the sunrise. I thank her for her help and she leaves after saying,
"That's the full apartment! Feel free to leave when you like." I nod towards her and continue staring out of the window. It's a bright sunny day and the world looks so innocent.

"Nice view isn't it?" I hear a voice say beside me. Still looking out of the window, I reply. But I actually thought that it was still Jennifer and say,
"Yes, it is." I continue on, "You know you don't need to stay with me."
"Sorry, I didn't mean to bother you. Just making conversation." I turn to the voice thinking that it's Jennifer and am about to apologise for my bluntness. But the girl in front of me isn't Jennifer. I actually don't know who it is.

"I'm sorry." I say as I stare into her amber eyes. "I thought you were someone else."
"It's ok." She replies looking slightly uncomfortable. "So, are you interested in buying this apartment?" She questions. I face the window again.
"Yeah, it's a nice one. Most of the ones I've seen have been pretty bad." I say admittedly.
"Same for me."
"Sorry," I say as I turn back to face her. "I never introduced myself, I'm Aaron."
"Nice to meet you Aaron. I'm Aphmau." She says smiling shyly.
"Wow, I just wanted to say real quick. You're very, pretty." I say quickly. You never think before you talk do you Aaron? I think to myself in annoyance. Now she probably thinks your a creep.
She giggles shyly,
"Thanks, your not so bad yourself." And with that she gives me a playful punch on the arm walks towards the door.
"Gotta, go. Need to put my name down for this apartment. Don't want you getting it before me!" She calls and shuts the door behind her.

I grin inside of my mask. I have a feeling that won't be the last time I see her....

Aphmau's P.O.V
I can't believe I just did that! I am not confident yet I go up to a guy, a cute guy too, and I'm all Ms.Confident!? I never go up to people and talk, they come up to me! I don't even know what just happened.

My phone beeps.
(M for mum, A for Aphmau.)

M: How's the apartment shopping going? Anything you like? Xx

A: Yep! Have am about to put name down for an apartment on Teal Street.

M: If your sure........

A: Mum! I'm sure. Will see you soon. Xx

I walk over to the front desk and ask the lady, whose name is Jennifer. For an application form for an apartment. I fill it out and hand it back to her.
"Cool!" She says as she reads it over. "We'll reply to you by Monday." She grins.
"Thank you." I say and then leave the building, smiling to myself.

My life is starting.
