Hello, and welcome to my Writer Room! I'm so excited to share this project with you!

If you don't know me, my name is Amy Marie Z. I started writing on Wattpad in 2017 and haven't looked back since. I love writing in the horror, thriller, and paranormal genre—from vampires and werewolves to demons and monsters.

This Writer Room will be a place where I share exclusive content about my stories, my writing journey, and my best tips and tricks for writing and crafting stories.

Now, before you get any further, I do have to warn you, like any story I've written, things are going to get a little spooky from here out. You will encounter a monster known as . . . dun, dun dun, a paywall.

I know, I know. If it proves too much for you, I understand. But, if you decide to check out the content anyway, I hope you'll enjoy all these fun, exclusive, and hopefully helpful tips and tricks!

To make this a little easier to find just the content you are interested in, I've divided this Writer's Room into three sections, A, B, and W:

A. About Me: Where I'll post chapters about me and my journey as a writer. This section will contain chapters such as:

A1. Get to Know Me - I'll talk about myself, my journey to becoming a writer and my inspirations.

A2. My Biggest Writing Challenges - How I developed as a writer, what challenged me when I first started writing, and how I got through those challenges. I'll also talk about what still challenges me, and my plans to develop as a writer in the future.

A3. My Writing Process - From drafting (or not so much drafting) to my adventures discovering my stories as they unfold.

B. Behind the Scenes: Where I tell the stories behind my stories. This section will contain chapters such as:

B1. Wind & Beneath the Vaults - Where I share my inspiration for my 2018 Wattys Award winning story Wind and my 2019 Wattys Award winning story Beneath the Vaults. I'll describe my challenges and experience of writing these stories, alternate ending ideas, and ideas for what happens next!

B2. Make Them Scream & Hell Flower - Where I share my inspiration for my 2021 Wattys Award Winner, Make Them Scream, and its spin-off Hell Flower (a 2021 Wattys Short Lister). I'll go into my process writing them, defeating the infamous NaNoWriMo, and ideas for future spin offs.

B3. December's Moon - Where I share my inspirations for my most recently completed story, my struggles writing it, and my revision process.

B4. My Future Stories - Where I share inspiration for my current projects, and ideas for projects going forward.

W. Writing Tips - Where I share my best tips and tricks on writing, based on my own experience and the methods that work for me. This section will contain chapters such as:

W1. Action Scenes - My best tips and tricks for writing fights scenes, action sequences, and chases.

W2. The Wattys! - Where I share my process for preparing my stories for the Wattys and give tips for getting a story ready to submit, as a three time Wattys winner.

W3. Descriptions and Atmosphere - My best tips and tricks for developing immersive descriptions and atmosphere in a story.

W4. Building Suspense - My best tips and tricks for building suspense, mystery, and tension.
