Amy is a pariah.

She doesn't talk or wash her hair enough, and she never takes off her long, white coat, no matter how hot it gets.

For the most part, no one notices her.

No one, that is, except for Conor.

From the time she first passes him in the hall, Conor is completely enamored with the girl in the white coat. Regardless of her standoffish nature, he wants to be her friend, — and maybe more.

Over the course of sunny spring afternoons, the two of them form a bond. However, secrets lie beneath Amy's coat and within the walls of her home, — secrets that she just might never outrun, no matter where she goes.

Over the course of ten years, Amy and Conor both grow closer and are pushed further apart, — but destiny is an impossible road to avoid.

If only there didn't seem to be a goodbye at every turn.
