The Snowflake •

With her powers forbidden, Amphitrite wasn't sure what to do with her time. She found the silver snowflake pendant laying in her room on a small table near her bed and for the first time in a while she was reminded of the strange dreams that used to plague her every night. That is until she started sleeping with Ben. She found it odd that once she started sleeping with another person the strange dreams suddenly stopped coming. She pressed her fingers against the cold metal of the pendent and suddenly a vision flashed into her mind. The image of a woman, older then the one in her dreams, with brunette hair and dark blue eyes smiled down at her. "Oh my sweet snowflake." The woman said as Amphitrite felt her pick her up. "You will always have a part of me, a part of your family, a part of your sister with you with this." She said as she handed that same silver snowflake pendant to her. "Take this with you wherever you go so you will always be reminded of your home and where you come from." The woman added. Although Amphitrite didn't know her name she didn't need to, she knew exactly who the woman was. The vision faded just as soon as it came and Amphitrite blinked as she realized what had just happened. She whispered one word to herself as she realized who the woman was in her vision. "Mother..."

"So what did Leo talk to you about?" Ben said as he finally came back into her room once he saw that Leo had left. Amphitrite was pulled away from the thoughts of her vision as she turned to see Ben. She blinked a few times as she tried to focus on what he was talking about and not the vision. "He uh," she began as a light blush formed on her face, "he doesn't want us sleeping together anymore." She told him rather sheepishly. Ben scoffed as he looked offended. "So what? He can't tell us what to do! He's telling you this because he thinks I'm dangerous isn't he." Ben demanded. "What? No!" Amphitrite replied rather shocked. "No, Leo... Leo is just trying to protect us." "From what?" "From being discovered. I mean, he was right about one thing." "And what's that?" Ben snapped at her. "If Luke found out he'd be furious with us. I mean, he's already mad at me. I can't imagine how much worse this would make it." Ben finally sighed. She was right. "Can I tell you something?" Ben asked suddenly and Amphitrite nodded. "Of course." She said. "You can tell me anything." Ben stepped closer to her. "I think... I think I might run away from here." He said with a low tone. "What?!" Amphitrite nearly shrieked. Ben instantly shushed her. "Sometimes I hear this voice... it's dark and sinister but it calls me away from here. It promises me freedom and a chance to avenge my grandfather." Amphitrite stepped back as she looked up at him with worried eyes. "And you trust this voice?" She asked skeptically. "Yes." Ben told her flatly. "There's nothing else for me here. Everyone here looks at me like I'm some kind of freak." He told her. He then gently put a finger under her chin as he lifted it so her eyes would meet his. "And they look at you the same way." Amphitrite looked away, hating the fact that he was right. "You're dangerous, Amy. Like it or not you posses great and untamable Power." He said before he paused. "Come with me. If I leave, this voice has promised me training, great and proper training for someone like me. I'm sure it can offer the same for you." "And what if they don't?" "Then I'll kill them and we can run away together." Amphitrite gasped at the extremes Ben was willing to go to. But at the same time this was the extreme he was willing to go to for her. She felt her heart flutter. She looked up at him with wide blue eyes and nodded, excepting his deal.
