• You're Not Being Careful •
"What the hell are you doing?!" A sudden voice shouted causing Amphitrite to shoot up in her bed. She looked around to find the source of the voice and was met face to face with a furious Leo. At first Amphitrite wasn't sure what he was talking about or why he was waking her up this early. That is until she heard the shifting of someone else in her bed and felt the warmth of Ben Solo moving against her as he sat up too. "Leo-" Amphitrite began but was cut off by Leo. "This is insane! Do you have any idea how much trouble you two could get into if master Luke saw you like this! Attachments are forbidden for the Jedi and you two are-" Amphitrite quickly moved her hand up to cover Leo's mouth. She brought a finger to her lips as she whispered "sshh!" To him. "Keep it down! Do you want the whole temple to hear you?" She hissed quietly. "What do you want?" Ben asked as he sat up and sleepily scowled over at Leo. "Waking up the temple? That's what you're worried about?!" Leo nearly shrieked while keeping his voice down. "Calm down!" Amphitrite told him. Leo took in a deep breath before exhaling. "Amphitrite can I speak with you?" He asked and then he noticed Ben didn't move. "Alone." He said with great emphasis. Ben huffed but got up out of the bed, taking one last look at Amphitrite before waking out of her room. After watching him leave Amphitrite turned to look at Leo. "Have you completely lost your mind?!" Leo asked, he was obviously angry. "I really don't see what the big deal is..." Amphitrite muttered as she looked down, avoiding his gaze. "Attachments like this are forbidden for the Jedi." Leo said much more softly as he sat down next to Amphitrite. "But I'm not a jedi!" Amphitrite replied rather spitefully with strange familiarity. "And I never will be! So I really don't see what the problem is!" "You're not a Jedi." Leo confirmed as he nodded in agreement. "But Ben is." He reminded her. "Amphitrite, you're not being careful." He said, there was a hint of sadness in his words and Amphitrite could tell there was something deeply troubling him. "First the incident with Ben's lightsaber and your burns, then there's what you did to Hazel, and now this?" Leo sighed as he shook his head. "I miss you, Amphitrite. The girl who used to be my best friend. The girl who I used to think was the most beautiful person in the world." Amphitrite froze. She looked up from the spot on the floor she had been staring at and looked over at Leo. There was something different in his hazel brown eyes. His chocolate colored hair framed his face so perfectly and his tan skin was enough to make any girl melt. Leo was beautiful, of that there was no doubt. His Jedi braid hung to the right of his face and just looked like it belonged. Leo was so pure, so full of light. Amphitrite almost couldn't believe the words that came from his mouth. He reached up and brushed Amphitrite's midnight black Jedi braid out of her face and behind her ear as he looked at her with longing eyes. "But attachments are forbidden for the Jedi." He said with such a heart broken tone. Amphitrite finally put the pieces together. That's why Leo hated seeing her with Ben so much, he was jealous. He wanted to be with her but Leo was such a rule follower that he would rather follow the ways of the Jedi then go after what his heart desired. Amphitrite could feel her heart melt. "Leo..." she said softly as she looked into his brown eyes. "I won't tell master Luke, but I don't want you sleeping with him any more. Okay?" Amphitrite nodded and Leo stood to walk away and that's when Amphitrite stood up as well and grabbed his hand. She pulled him over to her and wrapped her arms around him in a tight hug. "I'm sorry." She whispered. Hesitantly, Leo hugged her back. "It's okay... I just want you to be happy."
