"Greninja!" A injured raven haired trainer yells, his body badly bruised and his cloths littered with cuts.

"NINJA!" The frog ninja Pokémon names Greninja yelled using all of it's remaining power into get back up on its feet to continue the world deciding battle.

"Greninja, you and me. Together. WE ARE STRONGER!" The weak male trainer by the name of Ash Ketchum says while clenching his fist while staring at his opponent and the minded controlled, legendary Pokémon Zygarde who was in its 100% form.

Team Flare, had successfully captured both Z1 and Z2 and had awaken their full power and now under the control of Lysander, the leader of Team Flare, wreak havoc upon the innocent people of Kalos as Lysander's dream of a new world becomes closer to completion.

But there was one thing between him and glory, a power like no other, a power between two, drawn out not from companionship nor friendship but by their bond and love. That is Ash and his Greninja.

"You still don't get it do you? You can't beat a legendary Pokémon, no matter how strong your bond is!" Lysander shouts trying to put doubt in both Ash and Greninja's mind.

"We can't give up! We won't give up!" Ash yells with determination. It had been a long and painful battle for both Ash and Greninja, fused into their Ash-Greninja form the pain from Zygarde attacks was unbearable but they knew that they couldn't loose this battle.

"I will fight! To protect the world that I care so deeply about and the people and Pokémon the habit it and to protect the ones I love!" Ash explains with determination while getting back onto his feet in sync with Greninja who was reaching his limit and Ash knew that but he also knew that they both won't give up till the very end!

The whole world watched the battle unfold and it wasn't a pretty battle to watch, it was very one sided, Zygarde had all the power where as Ash-Greninja only had their determination. Zygarde had been owning the battle, successfully landing lots of powerful hits on Ash-Greninja where as Greninja was only able to land a few attacks in response.

This worried everyone but none more than a certain honey-blonde hair girl named Serena, who's heart was slowly breaking with every hit that landed on Greninja which caused both him and his trainer pain. She couldn't do anything but watch helplessly like the rest of the world as her childhood hero and true love battled honourably against the evil that threatened to destroy the world.

"Ash..." Serena mumbled with worry as she watched Ash weakly get up again. She knew that he wouldn't give up even if it killed him! And that's what worried her, Ash never put himself first it was always other over him and now he was putting the whole world first instead of his own life.

Helicopters flew above the Luminous City Tower where he battle took place on the top, camera crews filmed it live for the world to watch. Serena and two lemon-haired siblings watched on from one of these helicopters they could hear every world and command said as well as hear the loud cries of pain from Ash as he battled with everything he has.

"Give up yet?" Lysander asked cockily while his evil grin widened at how well this battle was going for him. He had Ash-Greninja on the ropes and pretty soon the entire world soon in his palm.

"I don't give up!" Ash replied recklessly while gritting his teeth in pain.

"It's your funeral." Lysander said bluntly while commanding Zygarde to fire a powerful Dragon Breath to finish the battle and bring victory for Team Flare.

Ash and Greninja watched in pain as the attack approached, they were too weak and exhausted to dodge and simply didn't have the power to match Zygarde's attack. Ash and Greninja closed their eyes simultaneously and waited for the finishing blow.

"ASH!" Serena yelled in worry, her heart was on the verge of shattering into a million pieces. She held back tear bravely but water was very much better visible in her ocean-blue eyes.

Across the world people watched in horror at what seemed like the end, the person destined to save this world and finally bring peace had given up and the final attack rapidly approached. Former traveling companions of Ash watched in complete shock, they knew Ash wouldn't give up but the scaring sight of his battered and weak body was enough for even them to loose hope.

'It's over... I-I wasn't strong enough' Ash said in his thoughts. He had given it his best but his best wasn't good enough. "ASH!" Ash heard a familiar female voice say causing him and Greninja to open their eyes.

'Serena...' Ash identified the voice while realising that she still believes that he can win this, she hadn't lost faith and that is all that Ash needed, he didn't care if the world had given up on him. As long as Serena still believed in him then he would continue to fight! For her...

"Greninja! Water Shuriken!" Ash yelled while reaching behind his back, imitating Greninja's movements as the blue frog ninja reached behind its back and grabbed the water shuriken that had grown even bigger upon Ash's new found determination.

"NINJA!" Greninja yelled while throwing the massive, blue water shuriken with enough power to equal Zygarde's Dragon Breath which caused an explosion that sent Ash almost flying off the edge of the tower.

Ash quickly got back up while preventing himself from falling to his death to keep him in the battle.

"You have got spirit kid, but that's not enough!" Lysander said calmly before commanding Zygarde to attack again using Dragon Breath.

"Greninja..." Ash said causing Greninja to turn around still in Ash-Greninja form. Greninja gave its trainer a nod of the head, understanding Ash's thoughts through their bond.

"This is it Greninja! WE WON'T LOOSE!" Ash yelled while clenching his fist while Greninja did the same causing the Water Shuriken to grow even bigger as the power between Ash and Greninja grew through their determination and their bond.

"Greninja! WATER SHURIKEN!" Ash yelled with raw determination while using all of his remain strength into this on last move.

Ash-Greninja reached for the massive water shuriken on its back, grabbing it and began to twirl in the air while a water vortex surrounded them as the Dragon Breath hit acting like a shield leaving not even a scratch on the fired up Pokémon while the vortex lowered itself revealing Ash-Greninja unharmed while holding an immeasurable sized Golden Shuriken the twirled gracefully in the air while parts Ash-Greninja's face shined bright red.

Everyone around the world watched with their mouths wide open at the amount of power Ash-Greninja still had while a wave of excitement rushed through everyone's body when they saw that this is it, the deciding move.

A random person in the crowed rained his fist into the air yelling "GO!" causing people around him to do the same thing, raising their fist into the air. Camera's caught this and pretty soon the whole world join in, although not everyone did it at the same time it was inspiration for everyone causing a spark to ignite with Ash and Greninja as they felt everyone yell GO!

"GO!" Clemont and Bonnie, the two lemon-haired siblings said while raising their fists. Serena stared in awe while tears started running down her face, but not of sadness but of joy.

"GO!" Serena said with excitement while raising her fist towards Ash. Out of everyone Ash and Greninja sensed say "go" Serena's was the last one but it was the most inspirational to Ash as he felt his body fire up and everyone's support.

"GRENINJA! LET'S... GO!!!" Ash commanded while mimicking Greninja and threw that golden shuriken at Zygarde and Lysander who watched in complete shock and couldn't do anything but stare aimlessly while the new found power of the shuriken hurled towards them.

The shuriken made a direct hit causing an explosion that sent even the helicopters flying back at the shire amount of power while a layer of smoke covered the location of the battle, hiding the result.

The smoke eventually cleared and revealed Z1 and Z2 fainted on the ground and Lysander unconscious on the ground while Ash and Greninja stood upright while panting heavily.

It took everyone a moment to comprehend what had just happened, everyone stood in complete silence, staring at Ash and Greninja through the screen of the Tv, tablet or whatever device they were watching the battle on.

"We... w-won..." Ash said in disbelieve while staring at Greninja with amazement. Ash didn't have time to think about what he had just done as a loud cheer from the crowed down at the base of Luminous City Tower reached his eardrums causing a smile to form of his face.

"ASH!" Serena yelled in happiness, running striate out the helicopter as it a flew close enough to the tower for her to jump off and onto the Tower's top where the battle had taken place.

Serena rushed as fast as her legs could run towards not only her hero but not the worlds saviour! Tears rushed down her face while she ran towards him but they were tears of joy and happiness.

"S-Serena..." Ash said weakly while turning around to see the honey-blonde trainer running towards him, he couldn't have been happier to see her, his heart beat slowed as adrenaline left his body.

Ash and Greninja's synchronisation brock causing both Ash and Greninja to faint almost instantly. Serena watched as Ash fell face first onto the ground, passing out just before she could reach him.

Once Serena reached Ash's unconscious body she knelt down beside him, placing his head in her arms while she examined all of his injuries he had sustained during the battle.

"Ash..?" Serena said worryingly while her happiness was being swept away and being replaced with worry as she stroked his messy raven hair before medics approached them followed by Officer Jenny who rushed over and made the arrest of Lysander while medics took Ash from Serena's arms much to her disappointment but she knew that they are able to do more for him than her at the moment.

Serena reached for her blue ribbon on her chest, holding it tightly while she watched as Ash's unconscious body got lifted away in and ambulance helicopter along with Greninja, she wanted to be by Ash's side but was denied to travel in the helicopter with Ash as there wasn't enough room.

Once Serena reached the base of the tower she was immediately swarmed with camera's and reports who all at once asked random questions over each other making it almost impossible to hear.

"Everyone Calm Down!" Serena yelled, she didn't want to be stuck here in front of stupid reporters, she wanted to be right next to Ash to help him in anyway she could.

"Is the owner of the Greninja okay?" A reporter asked causing everyone to go quiet all of a sudden while all eyes focused on her. 'I guess if I want to get to Ash I have to go through these guys.' Serena thought.

"His name is Ash... Ash Ketchum and he is fine, he is just unconscious due to the amount of damage he and Greninja sustained from the battle." Serena explained.

"So can Ash feel Greninja's pain?" Another reporter asked while others dotted down notes.

"Yes... Ash and his Greninja feel the same pain as they are synchronised in their Ash-Greninja form." Serena continued to answer questions about Ash which made her feel quite proud that she knew Ash so well but she was still worried about how Ash was doing.

"Okay final question, I need to go see Ash." Serena said in an urgent voice.

"Is Ash Ketchum your boyfriend?" A random voice said which made Serena's cheeks flare up at the question, but she knew the answer to the question but she wished that the answer was different as if it was her whole life would be complete.

"No... I'm not." Serena answered in a disappointed tone after a few seconds of silence. "Thank you for you time but I have to go." Serena added before barging her way through the crowed and rushed to the hospital where even more crowds awaited, luckily she was able to get through them while avoiding being asked more questions.

Serena made her way up to Ash's hospital room after receiving the information from a lady at the front desk who was hesitant at first but told her after realising that Serena was the girl from the news who was with Ash on top of the Tower after the battle.

Once Serena reached Ash's room she saw his unconscious body on the hospital bed, he seemed so lifeless and weak in this state, the doctors had informed her that Ash was just unconscious and need time to heal but they told her that he may not ever wake up.

Serena entered and sat next to Ash on the bed while staring at his sleeping body, he had cuts and bruises everywhere and his clothes were a complete wreck.

Seeing Ash is this state brought pain and heartbreak to Serena who cared too much for Ash see him like this. Tears were building up in her eyes but she held them back, she wanted to be strong for Ash but she couldn't tears made their way down her faces and down to her chin before dropping onto the bed.

"Please don't go Ash... I-I love you" Serena admitted softly, she was scared, scared of loosing the one she loves, scared of feeling the pain of heartbreak, scared of having to say goodbye to her love.

Serena placed her head on Ash's shoulder while lying her body next to his hoping that it would bring some form of comfort for her but nothing... it only brought more sadness, she could feel Ash's body but she wanted his warmth, she could feel his hand on hers but she wanted him to hold her hand, se could feel his breath leave his mouth but she wanted him to kiss her but she knew he couldn't... not like this.

"Ash, I love you" Serena said again hoping that magically he wold respond like in fairy tales but instead Ash's heart monitor started beeping quicker indicating that his heart rate was getting unsafely low!

Doctors rushed into the room, pulling Serena away from Ash, she cried her heart out while resisting to leave the room but eventually was forced out while the doctors attended to Ash.

Serena waited in the waiting room heartbroken, she couldn't stand loosing Ash and she wouldn't accept it either. She waited for another 2 hours before a nurse came out to give her an update on Ash's condition.

"Are you Serena?" The nurse asked politely.

"Yes! Is Ash okay!?" Serena responded recklessly, she wanted to know, she wanted to see him, she wanted him to be okay.

"Ash is fine, his heart rate is normal again but he is still unconscious." The nurse explained. It was like a huge weight lifted off her shoulders upon hearing that Ash was okay.

Once Serena was allowed to revisit Ash she did, she didn't leave his side for 2 days striate, she didn't say anything to Ash out of fear that if she spoke then Ash's heart would stop again like last time.

Serena, sat as still as a statue in a chair right next to Ash's bed, she was in deep though before...

"Serena..." Serena heard her name and immediately shot up and saw Ash mumbling her name. Her heart raced faster than ever before, He was waking up! Ash's hand twitched a little which only brought more happiness to Serena as she watched Ash slowly open his eyes once again.

"ASH!" Serena yelled before hugging him tightly. She never wanted to let go, she wanted the moment to last forever. It took Ash a while to acknowledge what was going on but he soon hugged back, widening Serena's smile as Ash's body warmth entered her body.

"I thought I lost you." Serena said before releasing him from her hug.

Ash stared at her with a happy expression on his face, words were not needed at this point but Serena wanted to speak she wanted to tell him how much he means to her.

"Ash I-" Serena begins to say before being cut off.

"I heard Serena, I heard it all and I love you too." Ash said with a smile. Serena stood there dumbfounded at what Ash just said, she had confessed her feelings to him without her realising that he had heard and Ash... he had returned them!

Serena couldn't contain her excitement any longer, she jumped right onto Ash, knocking him back down the bed in the same position that he slept for so long, Serena smashed her lip against Ash's, kissing him with passion while Ash kissed back.

The moment was perfect both reunited and their feeling expressed and stronger than ever, people say that Ash saved the world when he battled Lysander and he did! But that didn't matter to Serena because he had just save her world.
