The Girl In The Moonlight

Hope you enjoy this one-shot :3

My life is torture.
Everyday I go to work, go back home, eat and then go to bed.
Alone.
No one has ever loved me.
Only betrayed me.
Well I guess I should tell you my name before I continue.
My names Ash and I'm 19.
I live on my own in a small apartment in Luminose City and work at an office.
The job earns me just enough money to pay for some clothes, the taxes and a bit of food.
I am always by myself, seeing the world as grey and miserable.
Until I met that girl.

It's the weekend now and I'm taking a walk around the quite part Luminose City.
I look up to the sky to see the starts shining in the sky.
"Why can't I live up in the sky where everything is quiet and beautiful?" I whisper to myself.
Of course I get no reply so I look around me to find myself in a park.
I walk through a row of flowers until I see a small fountain perched just a few metres away.
As I walk closer I finally see everything.
As I said before there a water fountain placed around a circle of flowers.
A large path surrounded that with small, wooden benches placed around the edges.
I scan the area to no one so I make my way over to one of the benches and sit down.
"Why can't the whole world look this beautiful." I say to myself as I look around me at the stunning view.
"The whole world is beautiful, you just have to look at it in a certain way."
I sharply turn my head in the direction of the voice to see a master piece.
A girl was standing there, much smaller than me but had the most stunning blue eyes ever.
Her short honey blond hair was flowing smoothly in the wind, along with her pink dress.
The thing that blew me away the most though was her smile.
It was like she had an aura of happiness surrounding her.
She walks over and sits beside me.
She looks even more beautiful close up.
"So what are you doing here at this time of night?" She asks me happily. "Just getting away from the city." "I know how you feel, cities are so big and loud."
We both sit there in silence for a few minutes gazing at the stars.
"So where shouts do you live then?" I ask her. "The forest." "The forest?" "Yep, it's such a calm, beautiful place to be." "Don't you have a house?" "Nope, I live in the forest with my animal friends." "But how can a girl as beautiful as you be homeless."
I then realise what I just said as my face goes a dark red.
What is she making me feel.
"I'm just unlucky. But I try to look on the bright side and try to see the good in everything." "But how?" "I use the pain in my heart and turn it to happiness."
I saw the large smile fade into a small one.
"I'm sorry, I just put salt in some old wounds didn't I." "No, it's ok."
Her large smile appears again.
"So I guess I should leave you to your peaceful stroll in the park then." "No, please don't leave-"
But she was gone and all the happiness that was going drained out of me.
How.
How is she so happy when she has nothing.
I pick myself up from the bench and make my way back to my old, colourless apartment.

Ever since that moment the girl was stuck in my head, her words echoing in my mind.
'I try to look on the bright side and try to see the good in everything' 'I use the pain in my heart and turn it into happiness.'
I want to know so much about her.
Like how she ended up homeless and why she got upset when she talked about the pain in her heart.
I need to see her again.

As soon as it hit the weekend again I travelled back to the park, at night when the stars where shining and sat in the exact same spot as last time.
I sit there for ages but she never comes.
Finally as I'm about to leave I look over to the low moon to see the girl standing in front of it, her hair, once again, flowing smoothly in the wind.
I stare in bewildered at her beauty as she turns and smiles brightly at me.
I think I've fallen in love.
She runs towards me and looks at me with her cerulean eyes.
"So you came back?" She asks. "Yep, and I'll be coming back ever weekend."
She grinned at me and we both sat down and talked about everything we've been through.

"Hey Ash, can you come help me with this!" I hear a shout from the kitchen. "Ok babe!"
I rush into the kitchen to see my beautiful wife standing there with a big smile on her face.
"Can you cut the carrots please." "Ok."
I give her a quick kiss on the head then go to chop the carrots.
My life has changed so much because of her.
The girl standing in the moonlight.
Smiling at me brightly and looking at me with those mesmerising eyes.
I love you Serena, and always will do.

Guys, I'm so sorry for not updating in ages.
I've been one of the busiest people ever trying to update this and Heartless.
But I did it so yeah, I'll try to update more for you peeps.
Anyway, GOODBYE!
(And sorry it isn't over 1000 words long.)
