Hello all you wonderful readers. Guys private message me your fanart seriously. >:< see my serious face... Seriously. Anyhoo, I hope you guys enjoy this oneshot and I hope you all get hyped for the Kalos Crisis.

Ash's nerves were teetering on the edge. At this point, one wrong move would lose it all. Alain watched him from the opposite side if the colossal stadium of the Kalos League.

From the look on his face, Alain was just as exhausted but was ready to fight to his very last breath. His Mega Charizard X was the living incarnation of his burning passion.

Ash-Greninja, in a similar way was the embodiment of all of Ash's determination, his experience and his unshakable will to win. Ash looked to his side.

In the audience, though far away, he could make out his friends. Tierno, Trevor and Shauna all sat in front of Clemont, Bonnie and...Serena. All of them cheered him on with everything they could muster.

However one stood out. Serena passionately cheered with every fibre of her being. He saw her from that distance and having her cheer him on was inspiring especially after the events before his ultimate match.

1 hour earlier:

Ash slipped on his gloves. Most people at a time like this would be nervous, shaking in their boots. Not him. He was stoked. So close to being champion. He slipped a certain handkerchief in his pocket for good luck.

He gave a cheerful grin to his partner who returned a determined smirk. "Pikachu lets win this, we can show the world what we are made of." Ash grinned brimming with confidence. "Pika Pika!"

Just as Ash was about to walk out to his match he felt a tap on his shoulder. "Ash?" A familiar voice questioned from behind him. When he turned, he was met with a smile from Serena and Braixen who mimicked Serena's warm smile.

"Hey Serena, the match is about to start." Ash said anxious not to be late for a league battle a second time. "I know, I just came to say good luck." She said sweetly. Braixen nodded in agreement to Pikachu. Ash smiled at the two.

"We got this." Pikachu squeaked his name in agreement. "I know, but I also wanted to say something..." She looked down nervously and began to fiddle with her hands. Ash raised his eyebrow and then he put his hand on her shoulder.

"Hey, you can always talk to me ok? I care about you Serena." He smiled at her now blushing face. Her head shot up on the last words. "Just make it quick." "I...I love you."

It took a few seconds for Ash to process what Serena had just blurted out. Serena had her eyes closed as if she was waiting for him to reject her idiotic notion. He did the exact opposite, he gave her a hug. "Thanks Serena, that was the biggest confidence boost you could have gave me."

When they retracted from the hug, they smiled at eachother and then Ash turned to go. Serena had a silent debate with herself but there was no reason to stop herself now. So she went for it.

Ash made it two steps before Serena pulled him on his shoulder into a 180. Pikachu nearly flew off which shocked him but not nearly as much as what Serena had done. She pulled him into a shirt kiss.

After a few seconds, she pulled away and moved closer to his ear. "That was also for good luck, now go be my champion." She whispered teasingly.

She backed away from him with a smile. She waved and then picked up pace and ran away with a proud blush. Braixen followed closely.

Ash stood paralysed with a dumfounded expression unable to even comprehend what just happened. Pikachu chuckled at his trainers face which snapped him out of it. "Let's go Pikachu, we have a league to win." Ash uttered with a fantastic blush.

Present Time:

Ash stared at Serena in the audience. He saw her in a new light. He liked her before, really liked her. Now he was positive he loved her. The expression she had filled him with passion, reinvigorated his fighting spirit and made his heart beat a million miles an hour.

His focus returned to the battle and Greninja seemed to feel his own emotions. He exhibited renewed determination.

"Alright Greninja, use cut and double team." Ash hollered with excitement. Greninja shot forward like a bullet train, many of them. Each of the clones was a blur of dual blades and aqua blue frogs.

"Charizard, Dragon claw mow them all down.!" Alain said with excitement parallel to Ash's. This was the battle he was waiting for. This was what he needed. He could battle freely without a care even if only for a moment.

The black dragon held its claws up to its mouth which was seeping with blue fire. When he brought them back down they extended many times over into green energy sharp enough to slice a car like butter.

Charizard shot forward at the clones and took them down one by one. Both him and Greninja were exhausted. He took out all the clones and ,upon the last, was shocked it was not the real one.

Alain shared his Pokémon's worry as he looked frantically for Greninja. He looked up to see him flying down from above towards Charizard. Charizard noticed this to a little too late. He was hit by cut but managed to hit Greninja with his right claw. Both Pokemon sailed backwards.

They both staggered to their feet. Everyone watched in awe. From a high viewing box, Marin stood glued to the glass watching Alain. Behind her, Lysandre was sat with his hand on his chin, his megastone ring glinting in the light.

Serena and the others held their breaths with every hit. Ash knew he had to end this. Alain had the same thought. "Greninja use water shuriken, make it stronger, STRONGER." Ash screamed for the world to hear.

Greninja removed the X shuriken from his back and held it up. It doubled in size before expanding above him. It floated for a moment before turning a fiery orange. Greninja spun it around on his arms as it grew and grew. It could engulf anything... Like a Charizard.

"GOOO" Ash screamed. "NINJAAA!" Greninja hollered simultaneously. The super shuriken blasted forward razing the ground as it spun directly towards Charizard.

Alain stared in awe but knew he had to counter. "Charizard, use Blast Burn with everything you have." Charizard roared and became consumed in mystifying and terribly powerful blue flames. The very air around him sparked alight. He punched the floor and focused his energy at the shuriken.

The wave of fire and shuriken of water experienced a collision of unrivalled magnitude which kicked up a storm of steam when the shuriken sliced through the fire. Ash focused all his emotions into the attack increasing its power.

When the smoke cleared everyone looked on eager to see the result of the super powered display. Greninja and Charizard stood eyeing eachother seemingly unfazed.

After a few seconds, Charizard reverted to his normal form and then fell forward, hitting the floor with a resounding thump. Silence from the world as everyone let out a breath.

A uproar of cheers erupted from all directions. "Charizard is unable to battle, so the victor is Greninja and Ash Ketchum!" Ash felt a surge of joy, surprise and pride. Then he fell backwards while holding his head.

Greninja did the same and reverted to his normal form. The battle took alot out of both of them. When they both got up, they waddled carefully to the middle of the battlefield.

Charizard got up and with the help of Alain, made his way to the middle. Both trainers shook hands, their Pokemon mirrored this. "Congratulations Ash, that was the best battle." Alain smiled, he had no reason to be disappointed, he got what he needed...

Ash returned his kindly smile. " I agree, that was so close Alain. I couldn't have done it without all the support of my friends." "Yeah." Ash and Alain both looked to the audience. Alain set his eyes upwards to a skybox. He noticed Marin midway through the battle. She was smiling for him which made him even happier.

Ash also looked to the audience but not just for one person. All of his friends cheered him on. He eyed Serena directly. She had the most incredible smile which radiated how proud she was of him. She had a small blush and she looked ready to start tearing up with joy. 'I knew he could do it.'

When it came to the trophy ceremony, Ash stood confidently on top. Alain was stood to his right on the second podium and Sawyer was on the third on his left.

"Have a big round of applause for Ash and of course Alain and Sawyer,the runner ups." An announcer yelled into a microphone. Those words stung Sawyer a bit but he knew that 3rd place in his first league was pretty good.

The crowd once again unleashed a roar of approval for the champion of the Kalos League. Malva walked up to Ash with a glistening golden trophy. His name was engraved in a small rectangle on the front.

"Like the badges before it, this is proof of your victory at the Kalos League." She grinned. She handed him the trophy and he accepted graciously. "Thank you... But this isn't just mine." Ash smiled and jumped off the podium.

He ran towards a group of people where his friends were. Serena tackled him into a hug for his victory which he returned immediately. Everyone had a look of confusion especially Serena who's hand he grabbed and guided her back. "Ash?" Serena queried as he dragged her back to the podium smiling all the way. He never let her gaze escape his own.

When he reached the podium, he picked up the trophy and gave it to Serena who was now blushing with embarrassment from all the sudden attention. She held it gingerly knowing just how precious this symbol if victory was, she was worried about dropping it.

"This is your victory just as much as mine Serena." Ash stated. Serena merely looked at him. One swift movement from Ash and he was holding her bridal style with the trophy close to her heart and a blush stripped across her face. Ash smiled down on her.

"This is how I'm returning the favour and the boost of confidence you gave me." Ash said as he lowered his face to Serena's. The closer he got the larger her blush grew. But when Ash gave her a small but meaningful peck on the cheek, if her entire face was any redder, steam would be seeping from it.

Everyone in the crowd had the exact same reaction. "Awwwww!!!" Except for Bonnie and Shauna who just nodded their approval. They knew it would happen.

Serena was so caught up in the moment, she hadn't realised she was moaning in absolute bliss. "Serena?" Ash said with genuine concern. Serena snapped out of it and looked up at him still blushing. "I'm ok, just...wow." She giggled causing Ash to smile widely.

"As much as i like being your champion, would you like to be my girl-" Ash started but was interrupted when the ground began to quake. This caused Ash and Serena to fall to the floor as well as many other people. "You ok Serena?" "Yeah what was that?"

Before anyone could react, large tendrils almost like corrupted malicious roots erupted from the ground in many different areas razing destruction across the stadium.

Ash looked around him, everyone in a panic. He realised two things, he had to take the initiative and he had to make sure Serena was safe. Ash helped her up and then took a deep breath. "Everyone calm down, its dangerous here so we need to get out while we can!" He yelled at the top of his lungs.

Despite the ensuing chaos, the crowd appeared to get the message and word spread quickly to get everyone out. The roots continued to spread like a malevolent virus utterly shattering the positive atmosphere from before.

Everyone made their way to the nearest exit. Clemont Bonnie and Serena left together. What is going on? They got back into the streets just as the roots stopped. "They don't appear to be growing anymore." Clemont pointed towards the larger roots now embedded in the arena and all around them.

After a few moments of silence a deafening roar could be heard from the direction of Prism Tower. Squishy leaped out of Bonnie's bag and began hopping towards the familiar sound. "Squishy wait?!" Bonnie screeched and then she sprinted after him. Clemont followed in close pursuit of his sister.

When they rounded a few corners, the Lumiose twins looked up to the spire of their gym. Red clouds began swirling around and expanding across the sky. Lumiose became drowned in perpetual crimson darkness. At the epicentre of this evil storm stood Z2 in his 50% form. Except he glowed as red as the sky...

With Ash and Serena:

The worried duo ran down the street. "Do you think Bonnie and Clemont are ok Ash?" She asked with a frown. Still running Ash turned to her with a reassuring smile. "They can take care of themselves Serena I'm sure of it." Just for added measure he took her hand and gave it a gentle squeeze. A momentary blush crept up onto Serena's face but quickly faded due to the seriousness of the situation.

As they ran together another quake made a chunk of loose debris hurtle downwards. Ash reacted instantly pushing Serena away and leaping in the opposite direction. The debris was so large it separated them. Serena and Ash immediately got to their feet. "Are you ok?!" They called in tandem answering each others questions. Both sighed in relief for their safety.

The danger was not over because moments after the same root that dislodged the debris retracted and smashes through the debris. It seemed to intentionally surround Ash and Pikachu. Soon he was completely encircled by the snaky tendril.

Serena cried out in worry. "Ash, no Ash are you alright?" She hated feeling helpless and he was in danger. She banged on the root with as much force as she could but her efforts were utterly in vain. "We found the target, containing now." A voice said from above.

Serena turned her attention to the roots precipice. Stood there was a figure with purple hair, some kind of goggles and fire red attire. "Team Flare!" Serena yelled in anger and disgust. The Team Flare admin turned and looked down at her. A smirk went across her lips. "We need to...borrow your boyfriend." She said maliciously.

Serenas heart sunk in her chest. Her ears reddened with anger and worry. "No please leave him alone. Please!" She was now crying. The admin merely continued to smirk. She enjoyed watching this honey blonde suffer.

Ash was stood with a defiant expression. "I'm not going anywhere with you." He referred to the green haired admin who asked him to come quietly. "So be it." He was surrounded by team flare grunts who had at least a dozen Pokemon around him. Greninja was now out in its new form with Pikachu behind Ash to form a perimeter. They were determined to protect him.

Before Ash could call out a single move an energy projectile was fired towards him. 6 white lights surrounded him and Pikachu. When they impacted he immediately felt dizzy and everything began to go black. He fell to the floor which caused Greninja to do the same now their bond was severed. Pikachu defiantly glared at the grunts before he to collpased.

The last noises Ash could make out were from the admins. "Target acquired..." And from Serena's hoarse voice and cries of concern. "Serena..." The world went black around him.

Serena looked up to where the admin was. Her heart wrenched ever tighter when she saw an unconscious Ash along with Pikachu and Greninja being airlifted in a specialised chopper. The logo of Team Flare stared down at her victoriously.

She let out all her pain and anguish in a final scream. "Ash NOOOOOO!" She fell to her knees and began to cry.

IMMEDIATELY:

Serena cried as none other than Diantha appeared behind her. "Serena, are you ok?" Diantha asked with concern. Serena immediately hugged her surprising the champion. "They took Ash, Team Flare, we have to get him back." She pleaded hardly able to hold back ger tears.

"We will Serena, I promise, its not safe here we should go." She smiled reassuringly but Serena was far too worried. She was so helpless, so useless. She felt safer with Diantha.

They met up with Clemont and Bonnie. Clemont was consoling the crying blonde who was incredibly worried about Squishy. Clemont had just bested the Team Flare scientist Xerosic in heated battle regaining control of his gym.

When Serena came Bonnie ran over and hugged her. She was gald to have her here since she was basically like a big sister. "Serena I'm so happy your alright. But...where's Ash?" Bonnie queried. Serena's darkened expression answered that for her.

Diantha finished conversing with a police squadron who were helping to round up stragglers of the calamity and guide them to safe areas. "Ok kids, we are gonna do everything in our power to get Ash back alright?" Everyone nodded. Serena saw no point in acting dismal. She would have to step up if she wants to save him. She wasn't gonna lose him after finally admitting her feelings.

With Ash:

Ash finally awoke. When his vision began to clear the first thing he did was look around to see his Pokemon and himself held up against Prism Tower by some kind of energy trap. All his Pokemon were unconscious. He was shocked, scared overwhelmed with emotion.

"Ah, your finally awake. Excellent." A deep commanding voice echoed below. When Ash followed the sound he saw a man with goggles and a harness with some kind of arms on it. Similar to Clemont though there was 3 of them. He recognised him immediately. "Lysandre?"

"Good to see you again." "What am I doing here?" Ash immediately became angered. "Where is Serena?!" Lysandre looked confused. "The girl? She is unharmed. She wasn't necessary for this phase of the plan." Ash was relieved but not any less angry. "Why are you doing this? Your gonna hurt so many people and Pokemon." Ash cried.

Lysandre let out a sigh. "What I'm doing will save this world." Ash looked at him blankly. "What do you mean?" "This world was once a beautiful vibrant place, humans have sullied this world making it uninhabitable in many cases. I plan to restore the world to its real beauty. Its true form. And your going to help me." A smirk appeared on his face.

Before Ash could voice his refusal he became engulfed in red electricity along with his Pokemon. He screamed in utter agony as it sapped his strength. His calls could be heard across the a city already consumed in a torrent of anguish.

A battle was raging in the streets below. A furious legendary bout. Squishy now in his 50% form was toe to toe with his corrupted brother. All attempts at communication were a failure. Squishy could feel his fellow Z-cells. They were confused. He could communicate with them.

Now every successful attack on Z2 released a few cells. Squishy began to wear him down until he collapsed from a lack of cells. Squishy reverted to his normal form and tried a direct communion with his fallen brother.

He touched his head with his own. "All this suffering this isn't you. We must protect not destroy. Come to your senses." He sent a telepathic message. Moments later the red aura around Z2 faded and he staggered up. They nodded to each other and they knew what had to be done.

Serena and the others made their way to Prism Tower. It was now obvious this was the center of the Crisis. They looked up to the top and Serena felt a mix of relief and terror. Ash was strapped to the side of the tower wounded and unconscious.

"Oh no. Please." She said under her breath. Ash stirred assuring her he was alive. Lysandre notices the group. Suddenly his face appeared on several large screens around the area. "So this is what they send to stop me. The Champion and a few pathetic children." His voice boomed.

Diantha glared up at him. "Lysandre stop this madness! You will end up destroying the entire Kalos Region or worse." He chuckled which was made obvious on the screens. "Your welcome to try and stop me my dear."

Diantha looked back at Serena. "You kids go take care of Ash, I will take care of Lysandre." There was not a hint of disagreement. Clemont, Bonnie and Serena started making their way to an entry point in the tower. The very same one Ash used to help Garchomp all that time ago.

Just before she entered, Serena heard Ash cry out in pain. She looked up to see him and his Pokemon consumed in red lightning. "Hold on Ash." She sprinted up the stairs as fast as she could. When they reached the halfway peak on the tower, they all looked up into the sky. Radiant free streaks littered the atmosphere cleansing the crimson storm.

Z2 and Squishy summoned their ultimate power together. Cells began to draw from all around them. Across the Kalos Region, even the globe. It was like Olympia predicted. The Kalos Region was consumed in a green fire. A symphony of sounds were heard from all the cells.

Once all the cells were called forth they grew bigger than ever before. They were complete. They were one hundred percent ready.

"Squishy..." Bonnie said elated that he was ok. She knew what was happening. "Lets keep going guys." Clemont stated urgently. They continued their trek up the tower. Serena stole one glance over the edge. Lysandre's shiny mega Gyrados lie sprawled across the floor clearly no match for mega Gardevoir.

All the roots began to withdraw. They bent to the will of 100% Zygarde. One last job.

When they reached the peak, all three of them looked on solemnly. They were at an utter loss for words. Ash was strung up on the tower still with his Pokemon all horrifically wounded. Clemont used his empowered Aipom arm to break all of the bonds and bring them down.

Clemont and Bonnie tended to the Pokemon with medical potions and supplies. Serena had an unconscious Ash cradled on her lap. She was hugging him wishing for him to wake up. She was now crying with how wounded he was.

She held him close with water pouring from her eyes. Clemont and Bonnie watched this affectionate but heart wrenching display. All of Ash's Pokemon were conscious but injured. Pikachu toddled over to his masters side and nuzzled his hand.

"Ash, please wake up, you just have to wake up. I...I love you." Serena let loose one last tear her eyes closed she accepted this disaster. She felt a cloth substance caress her cheek drying the tear away. She opened her eyes slightly to see Ash's hand on her cheek with that handkerchief in its grasp. She put her hand on top of his and looked down.

He stirred awake her eyes widened with unshakable joy as they met his own. "I love you to."A wave of relief passed over her. "ASHH!!?" She screamed and grappled him into a hug. He squirmed in her vice grip. "Serena...can't breathe." Ash choked.

She quickly let go. He coughed and sat up. Before he could get in a single word. She grappled both his cheeks and pulled him into the most passionate kiss of his life. When she retracted Serena yelled. "Yes i will be your girlfriend!" Ash looked confused for a moment and immediately smiled. He felt himself blushing. This stunned Serena.

"The Ash Kerchum is blushing?" She said with awe. "Looks like its my turn to be flaring up." He said with a grin. They both hugged and then were tackled by all of Ash's relieved Pokemon. Serena laughed just as much as Ash. After everything she was glad to be this happy. The Kalos Crisis had come to a swift end. And in the end love blossomed from the darkness.

This took me 5 hours. I'm dead xD. I haven't seen the episode yet. I hope you guys enjoyed this. 4000+ words. Comment what you think guys. See you in the next one. ^_^
