So hello everyone, once again I hope you guys can forgive the lack of updates. College is almost upon me and my free time is suddenly alot smaller. My most recent contributor has had to wait a silly amount of time for this so I do apologise for the wait. This Christmas themed one shot is courtesy of SailorKittyKat. Hope you enjoy ^_^.

Winter is always a fun time of year in Kalos, all the snow, calm days and cool vibes really leave a satisfying mood for all. However, for a certain group of travelling friends, it could prove to be an incredible time for celebration. Christmas is here! Ash, Serena, Bonnie and Clemont were staying in a Pokemon center laced with themed decorations...

"I'm so excited! Christmas is the best holiday ever." Bonnie grinned with joy. "Calm down Bonnie. Christmas isnt until tomorrow so your still gonna have to wait a little while." Clemont smiled awkwardly. "Aww, big brother your no fun!"

Bonnie pouted at her older sibling who merely smiled at his little sisters antics. This was the first Christmas they spent away from home, but he was happy to spend it with Ash and Serena whom he saw as a second family. Serena, who was sat by Ash, laughed at Bonnie's antics.

"Your sure excited aren't you Bonnie?" Serena interjected. Bonnie nodded cheerfully. "Can you blame her?" Ash replied with his signature grin. Serena smiled back. "Christmas is awesome, the presents, the decorations...not to mention the food." Ash muttered dreamily.

Serena's expression went from a smile to a sweatdrop just like the Lumiose siblings. Ash and Pikachu were essentially drooling but when they snapped out of it, they looked at their three friends. "What?" Ash asked confused.

The three friends looked at eachother and laughed. "Nothing Ash, just keep day dreaming." Bonnie chuckled. Ash merely pouted at his friends and then joined in their positive laughter.

"Speaking of presents, have you guys got me anything?" Bonnie asked nonchalantly. She had an expectant look in her eyes and they couldn't tell whether she was joking. Clemont realised he hadn't got anyone anything. He now felt guilty.

"I've gotta go take care of something... Excuse me." Clemont ran for the stairs. He had no money but he did have his brain. What he could not buy, perhaps he could make...

Ash and Serena looked at Bonnie for answers but she just shrugged. "Gone to invent I guess. So, what about you guys?" Ash and Serena now realised why Clemont took his leave. They looked at eachother and came to a silent agreement. They needed presents fast. They both looked at Bonnie and simultaneously put their fingers to their noses. "Its a secret!"

Bonnie pouted at her friends. She wasn't gonna get anything out of them. Serena got up. "Bonnie, I'm gonna go to the room, I could use some company." She said gesturing towards their raven haired friend. Bonnie immediately caught on. "Oh, yeah sure." She got up and they both proceeded to the stairs like Clemont.

Ash just sat there somewhat confused. Why did Serena gesture towards him? Were they gonna talk about him. He considered following to make sure but he thought that would be rude. Maybe they were just gonna talk about what to get him.

Ash did notice something familiar though. Serena had that look she would get whenever she was alone with Ash. Almost flustered. Ash didn't know what to think, it was kinda strange but cute to. Wait, was he seriously just thinking that. He shook it off and shoved the thoughts aside for now.

"Pikachu, we may as well see if we can find something for the girls and Clemont." Ash said with a determined clenched fist. "Pika Pikachu!" His partner agreed with equal determination. With that, he ran outside towards the shops. Ash always had money, he never really had reason to spend since he normally has everything he needs.

With Clemont:

Clemont was working on his gift. He was determined to make sure it worked properly. He didnt have time for a single gift for everyone so he was making one for all three. He thought it would be better to put all his effort in to one then half an effort into poor quality gifts. After working for at least an hour he decided to take a break.

He walked outside of the room he and Ash shared. The girls had the room opposite since they were only two beds per room. He adjusted his glasses just before going to knock on the door to the girl's door. Just before he could, he heard Serena talking to Bonnie. He knew it was rude to eavesdrop but what he heard was definitely as shocker. He listened to their muffled voices carefully.

Inside the room:

"Bonnie, I dont know what to do. What can I possibly get Ash, it can't just be something random. He deserves the best!" Serena was slightly panicky. Bonnie understood why she was so nervous, at first she would tease Serena for her crush on their somewhat dense friend but lately she found herself advising Serena like a sister.

"Serena, I'm sure he would love anything you get him. Its the thought that counts after all." She stated confidently. Serena was fairly surprised by the mature attitude Bonnie seemed to have. "Do something he loves, maybe he will start loving you." She added with a wink. Serena began blushing. There goes that thought.

"We have established I love the idiot, now can you help me or not?" Serena said with mock irritation. They both chuckled. "Maybe stick to your strengths. Maybe he has already given you a hint as to what he might want." Serena thought for a moment. Did Ash say anything that stood out. Then it hit her. "Thats it, I know what to give him!" She squealed in delight.

"A kiss?" "Bonnie!!!"

Clemont outside:

Clemont could not believe his ears. So, Serena had a crush on Ash. He was a little surprised his superior intelligence had not picked up on this sooner. Suddenly, he had a glint in his eyes and a plan began to formulate.

"Ok, I'm going to the kitchen Bonnie." Clemont heard Serena say from inside. He panicked and quickly ran back to his and Ash's room. He managed to close the door just as Serena opened hers.

Serena walked out of the room and glanced at the boys door. "I could have sworn I heard..." She just shook it off deeming it a part of her imagination. Serena proceeded downstairs to the kitchen with a smile. She was excited for Christmas almost as much as Bonnie now.

When Clemont was sure Serena was gone, he made his way over to the girls room. He was gonna tell his plan to Bonnie. Just as he went to open the door, it flew open because of Bonnie. "Clemont?" "Bonnie?" They asked at the same time.

Bonnie studied her brother for a second. "How much did you hear?" She asked with a raised eyebrow. Clemont was shocked for a moment at his sister's deduction skills. Of course, she probably gets that intelligence from spending so much time with him. "So what's the plan?" "Time to make some Christmas magic Bonnie." Clemont whispered mischievously.

The door to the Pokemon center made a ding sound signalling someone entering. Ash walked through the door with a bag in his hand and a smile of satisfaction on his face. Serena looked at him from the kitchen and began to panic. She noticed the bags but mostly ignored them. She didnt want Ash to see her gift so she had to distract him somehow.

Ash put his gifts in his bag and went upstairs to leave it in the room. Ash saw Clemont and Bonnie on the way up and they appeared to be whispering. "Hey guys." He said gaining their attention. "Oh hey Ash." Bonnie said while smirking. Clemont was also smiling an awkward amount. "Everything ok?" Ash queried with a hint of worry.

"Oh yeah everything is fine, no need to worry." Ash studied his friends for a moment with a suspicious face. After a few moments he just smiled. "If you say so, I'm just going to leave my bag in the room." Ash proceeded to the room but was stopped by Clemont. Pikachu could see something was going on they didnt want Ash to know about but stayed silent.

"Ash, I will take your bag, we can all head downstairs then, you were heading back down right?" Clemont asked slightly flustered. He didnt want anyone to see his gift just yet. This confused the raven haired boy for a moment but he accepted this act of kindness. Clemont took his bag and quickly put it to the side of the door in the room.

Ash went downstairs to look for Serena. He ran down the stairs. He pretty much leaped the last 3 steps. When he reached the bottom, all that could be heard was a thud and a scream. Pikachu flew off Ash's shoulder and landed next to a shocked Fennekin. They looked at eachother and then worriedly at their trainers who were now on the floor.

Ash propped himself up and rubbed his forehead. Be looked down to see Serena doing the sane. Realising his idiotic move, he quickly apologised. "Serena, I'm so sorry, I didn't see you there!" He raised his voice in concern.

The honey blonde looked up at the one she bumped heads with. "Ash, dont worry about it." She could see the worry in his eyes. It made her blush slightly, he was always so caring. Ash suddenly began blushing which severely surprised Serena. Ash is capable of blushing?!

Then suddenly she realised why even a dense block like him was blushing. He was right on top of her. To make matters worse... Bonnie was watching from the stairs with an almost evil smirk.

"Bonnie, its not... Its not what it looks like!" Ash sputtered. Serena was speechless and was simply nodding in agreement. Ash got up and helped her up with one hand. It may have been her imagination, but her blush seemed to grow redder as they held hands, much like Ash's who was still blushing intensely.

"Well...um, I guess I will go and get something to eat." Ash managed, eager to escape the embarrassment. Serena yelled at him unintentionally. "No wait...uh I mean I was..." She started trying to think of an excuse to prevent Ash from seeing his own present. "You wanted to go for a walk, remember?" Bonnie supplied.

Serena flashed her a look of gratitude but little did she know, Bonnie and Clemont wanted both of them gone for a little while to put their plan into action. "Yeah, a walk...just the two of us." She began to blush slightly. "I mean if you want to that is!"

After a brief moment of pause. Ash grinned. "Yeah sure, no harm I spending a little time together." A thin tinge of pink appeared on Ash's face but he rubbed his nose to try and hide it. Only Fennekin, who was in Serena's arms appeared to notice this. A knowing grin passed between her and Pikachu. They might just know their trainers better then they know themselves.

Ash and Serena had both headed back to their rooms to get their winter clothes. The day before Christmas had yielded a plentiful amount of snow. Neither of them really wanted a cold just before a pivotal day so it was better safe then sorry.

Ash wore a blue coat, scarf and gloves with multiple snowflake patterns on the majority. Serena wore the equivalent of Ash's outfit but in pink. Ash had a light blue scarf and Serena a thick red one. Neither of them wore their hats so Ash's rebellious black hair and Serena's gentle blonde streaks could freely dance in the wind when they got out.

"We are heading out!" Ash called to Bonnie and Clemont. Bonnie appeared at the bottom of the stairs. She waved to both of them. "Have fun!" She called and they turned and went through the automatic door. Inches from closing..."Lovebirds!" She added mischievously.

"Wait what did she say?" Ash turned to Serena with a raised eyebrow. Flustered and madly blushing, Serena shot her gloved hands up in front of herself and waved them rapidly. "Nothing Nothing! Something about lemon curd?" She hollered uncertainly. Ash just stared at her blankly. He didnt realise he was staring until she snapped her fingers in his face.

"Uh sorry, I was...hungry." He couldn't exactly tell her he was admiring her eyes could he? No, she would find that very strange he thought.

Serena eyed him for a moment and shrugged."Let's just go." She said finally. Fennekin and Pikachu both took a few steps in the snow. They shivered and looked at eachother and both gave a nod. They jumped on to their trainers. Fennekin hopped into Serena's arms and Pikachu made his way into Ash's hood happily snuggling into his new warm hidey hole.

This adorable display made Ash and Serena smile at eachother. They continued on with their walk. They decided to walk down a nearby street completely blanketed in snow. They walked a fair distance without anything being said. The street was quite literally deserted and they were enjoying each others silent company.

Serena, determined to find a way to break this silence, studied her surroundings. When she looked up, she spied a patch of loose snow in the branches. She smirked and glanced sideways to Ash who was walking with his hands in his pockets.

After a few moments of walking, when they were both directly under the branch, Serena lightly and quietly hit the nearby tree. A few seconds later a clump of snow fell on Ash's head, turning his raven black hair a bright white. Serena could not help but giggle at the fact her plan had went perfectly. Ash pouted at her and brushed off the snow.

After around a minute, Ash spotted another clump of snow in the trees above. Just like before, he waited till they were both below it and then he repeated Serena's action by hitting the tree. He watched her hoping for a cold revenge. After a few moments the snow fell down... on Ash. Serena realizing what had happened began laughing out loud. Even Fennekin joined in this time. 

Ash once again pouted but then began rubbing his nose and laughing happily along with them. That is until Pikachu appeared at the back of his hood covered in snow with a very unamused glare. "Sorry Bud." Pikachu grumbled something that probably wouldn't have translated to something gratifying and then curled back into Ash's hood.

Fennekin and Serena looked at Ash who shrugged. "He gets cranky when he is cold." "Pika Pi." a muffled voice came from his hood. This caused them all to laugh once more. They continued on their walk, occasionally stopping to admire different decorations. After around an hour of such action and light conversation about their excitement tomorrow, they came to a stop and sat down on a bench.

Serena had debated with herself on what she should do with this opportunity. Does she confess to him? That would be a Christmas present to trump all the rest. She wasn't quite sure how to go about it. Just thinking about it caused a blush to creep on her face.

"Ash, what do you think of me?" Serena whispered reluctantly. Ash turned his head to her. "What do you mean?" he replied. "I mean, how do you see me?" Ash contemplated this for a moment. He realized one thing, what he said here could either upset or really make her happy. " Your awesome, your one of my closest friends and-" "oh..." Serena suddenly frowned and looked down saddened. 

Ash immediately felt bad, he felt a tugging sensation in his stomach, hunger or perhaps...guilt. "I mean your really important to me, more than I can say. More than i know how to say..." He stopped himself for a moment. Serena looked up hopefully. He continued, his mouth working before his mind. " There is something special about you, you make me feel...happy or complete I guess?" He didn't know where all this came from.

Serena looked straight into his eyes. Fennekin watched with ample interest. "Ash, I really like you. I have done for a really long time." She took a breath after letting out so much. Her feelings poured out like a waterfall. Ash smiled. "I like you to Serena." Serena shook her head. "No you dense idiot, not like that." She had nothing to lose now. " I mean I love you!" 

Fennekin squeaked happily. Pikachu appeared in the hood after overhearing the whole conversation and once again smiled at his fellow Pokemon. Ash was speechless but he realized he had to say something otherwise she would feel broken after pouring her heart out. Unfortunately, he had no words to say. 

Serena had taken it the wrong way just as he feared. "I see...I'm disgusting, useless..." Serena sounded so saddened that saying she was on the verge of tears would be a cruel understatement. Ash's own heart was now beating on a new level of speed, he had to say something, anything.

"You...probably hate me now...don't you?" Serena whispered. Tears trickled down her cheeks as she looked down. A proverbial bullet pierced Ash's heart kicking in his protective instincts. Truly, in a tender moment like this, actions truly do speak louder than words. He dragged Serena into a hug. One hand to the back of her head. She was shocked by this. her tears abruptly stopped. What was left of the water on her cheeks became a warm wet patch on Ash's shoulder.

"Unfair." He muttered into her ear. "Huh?" "That's unfair, saying that. Please...stop crying." He whispered softly. The calmness in his voice relaxed Serena instantaneously. Her whole body fell into the embrace. "I could never hate you, you hear me? No, what I feel for you is special. Hearing you say it, I think I know what it is." He continued affectionately. Serena's listened intently.

" I think it is safe to say, I love you to Serena..." This caused the honey blonde to gasp, her eyes widened still drenched in the saddened tears of rejection and now the newborn tears of acceptance. "Say that again please." Ash pulled away and they both met eye to eye. " I love you to Serena, I see that now." She pulled him back into a hug. Serena's nerves were shot. She had experienced confession, rejection and returned feelings all at once. This was the only thing to keep her mind from exploding with all the waves of emotion.

With Clemont:

 Clemont put the finishing touches on his newest invention. A heartfelt gift he had the highest hopes would please his friend. His plan with Bonnie was in place. Now all that he needed to do was wait until Christmas morning. Suddenly, the Pokemon center sound went off like before meaning someone had entered. "Back already huh?" he muttered to himself.

With Bonnie:

Bonnie looked down proudly at her own creation. She might not have alot of money, Clemont's smarts, Serena's cooking skills or Ash's... mean wellness, but she knew how to make everyone happy in her own special way. She hid this gift under her pillow. Suddenly, the entrance sound went of meaning Ash and Serena had returned. "This is gonna be the best Christmas ever..."She met up with her brother outside and they both went to greet their friends.

Downstairs:

Ash and Serena entered through the doorway at the same time Bonnie and Clemont reached the bottom of the stairs. Bonnie squealed and Clemont put his hand to his chin in admiration of the scene before them. Ash and Serena walked hand in hand as the door closed. " Hey guys." Ash smiled. His grin was the biggest it had ever been. "Seems like a lot has happened, care to explain?" Clemont asked still smiling for his friends.

Serena blushed as Ash kissed her cheek. "Tomorrow, right now we should probably get some sleep. Christmas remember?" He looked at Bonnie who nodded. Clemont hadn't realized just how dark it had gotten while they were out. Time sure flies. Everyone proceeded to bed except Serena. She went to the kitchen and put her new boyfriend's gift in the fridge...

Next Morning:

"EVERYONE GET UP, IT IS CHRISTMAS!!!" Bonnie screamed at the top of her lungs. She shot downstairs. She was greeted by Nurse Joy who had finally finished her checkups and said hello to the group as each one came down. 

Ash and Serena sat together with Ash's arm around Serena on the same chair as yesterday. Bonnie and Clemont were sat opposite. "Mind if i go first?" Serena said happily. Everyone nodded and she went into the kitchen. She came out with a blue, red and pink bag of varying treats. She had baked Clemont and Bonnie some cookies and some special chocolates for Ash. He immediately hugged her in thanks.

"These are delicious." the three of them said in tandem. Serena was extremely happy her gift was a success. "My turn." Clemont said. He whipped out a small metallic box. "This is for all of you." he smiled brightly "Clemontic Gear on!" His aipom arm shot up and moved slowly next to the box. Each finger went into a specific keyhole and turned. The box opened and within it 4 miniature robotic figures of the group began to dance to a light melody.

"Science is so amazing!" Ash yelled. Bonnie and Serena looked at it with stars in their eyes and they thought it was simply adorable. Bonnie hugged her brother. "This is a great invention. Now its my turn." Bonnie stated and then she ran upstairs to her room. The three older teens looked confused until she came back down with her hands behind her back. "I hope you guys like this!" She revealed a very detailed and well colored image of her, Ash, Serena and Clemont with all of their Pokemon.

"Bonnie, this is wonderful." Clemont said and he ruffled her hair respectively. Ash got up and got his gifts from his bag which he brought down when he woke up. He gave a neatly wrapped present to each of his friends. They all unwrapped them. "An electronic tool set, wow Ash." Clemont yelled. Bonnie chimed in to. "Dedenne look at this plushie, it looks just like you!" She then hugged Ash and began playing with her two Dedenne.

Serena opened hers and her eyes widened in shock. Ash had gotten her a pearl necklace. "Oh, Ash..." "I thought you would like that." She hugged him rather tightly. "Well this has been a great Christmas." 

Bonnie and Clemont looked at eachother. " Oh its not over yet." Clemont slyly commented. " Yep, we still have one more gift for both of you." Bonnie added gesturing for them both to look up. When they did, their blushes would have had a striking resemblance to Serenas's scarf. Hanging from the ceiling was a small plant shimmering green in the light. "Mistletoe..." Serena started. Ash finished for her by kissing her passionately on the lips.

"Merry Christmas Serena." he smiled a grin she adored. She was still dumbfounded. How was the same Ash? Clemont and Bonnie fist bumped. "Merry Christmas..."
