Pre Match:

"Greninja, remember what we have learnt yesterday" Ash said putting his hand on the frog Pokemon. Greninja for once looked nervous. This was a rare sight but Ash had full confidence in his Pokémon. Lucario then came out of his poke ball sensing Greninja's distressed aura.

"Master, may I have a few moments alone with Greninja?" Lucario said. Ash nodded and exited the tunnel and towards Serena and the others. "So what did you wanna say to Greninja?" Clement asked. The boy with raven hair laughed, as he couldn't wait for their reaction after this.

"You'll see in the match, I have been waiting to do this and now is the right time I feel." Ash said looking at the confused faces of his peers. "Oi Ketchup!" Calem shouted, however it wasn't only him but it was all the other traitors as well. Lucario and Greninja also came out.

Ash closed his eyes and looked at the auras of his traitors but one caught his eyes. It was his old best friend Gary. All the others had anger towards Ash but Gary's was regret and anger, but the anger was directed to Calem. Ash could sense he wanted to talk but he would have to wait. Ash opened his eyes and stared without emotions at the traitors.

"I just came here to give you rotten luck, well actually you'll need all the luck you can get against brock!" Calem sniggered.

"Yeah Brock will tear you apart, so I just wanted to see you before your career ends!" May said with anger. This made Max retaliate. "Why don't you just get lost before I cut your bandanna off and give you a bald cut!" Max said angrily.

"Why you little brat!" Drew was about to lunge but May and Misty held him back.

"Forget it guys lets go!" Dawn said and the group walked off, except for Gary. Ash noticed, "Well guys I gotta go, see ya!" Ash said and he disappeared in the tunnel. Gary reached out a hand but Ash was gone. Clement, Bonnie and Max all went to the stands.

Serena and Zack began to walk but Gary grabbed Serena. "Serena please wait!" Gary said pleadingly. Serena could here his tone but he had betrayed Ash, his best friend. She swung her hands but Gary held tight.

"Let me go or I'll scream!" Serena said but Gary held on. Zack then kicked Gary in the shin.

"That won't work, Ash used to do that a lot whenever I called him Ashy-boy," Gary said, "Serena this is important, just hear me out please, I beg you. After this you can judge wether to ignore me or listen" Gary said hoping she would agree to listen.

Serena hesitated but he sounded desperate. Zack didn't like the idea but he sensed something was up, something that would change the plot.

"Alright Gary make it quick"

"Thank you, so..." Gary spoke and told Serena and Zack what he knew. They both had shocked expressions on their face. And returning to Zack's previous thoughts, this did just change the plot...

"Ladies, Gentleman and Pokemon's welcome to today's second round of fixtures!" The presenter announced over the mic and was responded by the cheers of 30,000 people packed into the magnificent stadium of light.

"We had a brilliant first set of rounds so let's hope for another cracker this weekend! Our match will be a fierce one! A retired gym leader from pewter city against the champion of Alola and Kalos!" The announcer built up the tension in the crowd.

"It's BROCK... AGAINST ASH KETCHUM!"

Fireworks on the side of the battlefield erupted and smoke filled the players entrance. On one side Brock emerged with a cocky smile and he waved to the crowd and was replied with cheers.

The other side Ash entered with his eyes covered by his hat. However his eyes were filled with determination and belief. He looked up and noticed the packed crowd and easily spotted Serena. He waited for her soothing smile and she he gave him the smile which settled the nerves for him.

He walked up to his podium and set Pikachu down beside him. "Pikachu I'm sorry but I don't think I'll be needing you today, but certainly next battle you will have a part to play" ash winked. Pikachu nodded and didn't mind Ash's decision, even though he wanted to face Brock and show him who's the real boss.

Brock walked up to his podium and glared at Ash. "You're going down little boy! Your gonna regret what you have done! You don't mess with the elegant."

Ash heard this and smiled, he expected this and it made him more pumped up for this battle. "Give me some more abuse! Your hate only makes me stronger, and the love I receive will make me..." Ash again glanced up at Serena,

"...Unstoppable"

"Please release your Pokemon!" The referee called out. The crowd became silent in anticipation of both trainers choice of Pokemon. Brock reached out for a poke ball and threw it into the battle field, which was a normal one but with rocks scattered around.

"Steelix, come on out!" Brock yelled and large rock snake appeared on the field and let out a blood curdling roar. Ash didn't seemed fazed at all.

"Oh Brock..." Ash took a huge breathe, adjusted his hat and threw out a poke ball.

"Greninja, I choose you!" Ash called out.

Greninja came out the poke ball and stood with both frets joined and his hands in front of him, like a prayer.

"This is a 3V3 battle, I'm guessing you know the rules by now?" The ref looked at both trainers, who both nodded.

"Very well, BATTLE BEGIN!"

Ash waited and watched for Brock to make his move.

"Steelix, use tackle!" Brock called out. The steelix moved and was faster than Ash anticipated. "Dodge it!" Greninja couldn't get out the way and got hit and was sent skidding backwards.

"Thunder fang!"

"Water shuriken"

Steelix's teeth turned yellow and sparks flew out. At the same time Greninja formed two shurikens in its hand and threw them at the large snake. However it dodged it with ease and bit Greninja in the shoulder, the shocks threw Greninja off and he fell backwards onto the ground.

Ash was stunned, at the quick movements, he certainly thought Brock would play defence.

"Rock tomb!" Suddenly around the ninja Pokemon a tomb of rocks piled onto it, leaving it under the stack of rocks.

There were noticeable gasps from the audience. This made Ash angry. He clenched his fists and shouted,

"Come on Greninja, we can do this!" At that command Greninja broke through the tomb and his eyes were glowing light red.

"Lets be more and more stronger, letZ GO, GRENINJA!" Ash screamed as Greninja and Ash's movements became synchronised.

A water veil then enveloped Greninja before surrounding its back and forming a large shuriken on the X mark on the rear.

This got Ash pumped up, now we do this Greninja, we will show how far we have come together!" Ash communicated through telepathy. Brock' face was filled with shock with the power he just witnessed.

"This won't stop me, Steelix dragon breathe!" Brock commanded, the large snake released a purple dragon like specimen from its mouth and directed it towards Ash-Greninja.

Ash now could see through his Pokémon's eyes, and saw the attack coming at him. Ash just nodded.

Greninja then jumped up, dodging the attack and teleported in front of the snake Pokemon. Then, Ash tapped his foot, and Greninja used the move cut and sliced the two glowing sticks in its hands at Steelix.

Brocks Pokemon fell to the ground roaring in pain, however it wasn't just over yet.

Brock stood there completely stunned at what he just saw. Ash has changed... he thought.

"Come on steelix get up and fight, your stronger than this!" Brock called out helplessly. However the Pokemon lay on the ground in pain but now trying to get up.

Ash finally spoke a command, "Finish it with water shuriken" he calmly said with a smile.

Greninja and Ash's movement were the same as they both reached for their backs and grabbed the shuriken and swung it towards the rock Pokemon. Steelix couldn't help but watch with agony and shame as the shuriken struck its body and collapse onto the floor.

Brock could only watch, mystified. He looked up at Ash and noticed he looked composed but had a rather broad smile. This bought the anger back.

"Steelix is unable to battle, that means Greninja wins the first round" there were huge cheers for Ash.

In the crowd...

"Wow Ash didn't even talk!" Clement said, clearly mesmerised at Ash's first performance.

"That was brilliant" Serena admired and blushed at the winning smile that Ash possessed.

"Rah, Ash is mad thing, I wanna battle him again!" Alain said with fire in his eyes.

Back to the battle field...

"Steelix return, did good out there!" Brock spoke to the ball. He glanced up at Ash once more, "stronger than I thought, but this is where my fire power will be unveiled!" Brock said, he grabbed an ultra ball this time and tossed it in the air.

"Come on out, torterra!"

The final evolved form of the grass type from sinnoh emerged out onto the battle field. "Ash now has the physiological disadvantage, he should be worried!" Brock thought.

Ash internally sighed, "does he really think I'll be worried if I have the type disadvantage?" Ash spoke to Greninja, "Well let's just show him how strong we are!" Greninja replied. Ash smiled at Greninja who smiled back, both eyes filled with fire and waiting for their inner beast to get out.

"Torterra, Leaf storm!" Brock called out, the grass type then released a leaf tornado towards the water type.

Ash sighed then nodded, Greninja jumped up in the air and disappeared. He then re appeared behind the grass type. Ash winked, and Greninja performed aerial ace.

Punches and kicks were thrown at the grass type. Torterra was getting slapped up and unable to move. One final punch made the Pokemon skid backwards.

Brock was getting angry at how easily he was getting played around. "I'm not going to lose like this! Torterra Frenzy Plant!" Torterra slammed its feet in the ground and large roots emerged from it, and they flew at Greninja.

Ash tapped his foot, and Greninja sliced through the roots with ease but used up a lot of energy causing Ash to feel a bit of fatigue. Brock noticed that Ash was wearing out, now is the time!

"Leaf storm!"

This caught Ash off guard, and he was too late to react. The leaf storm hit Greninja dead on causing it to fly backwards.

Ash felt a lurch in his stomach, and grabbed it in his reaction. There were gasps in the audience.

However the pain didn't stop Ash, in fact this woke him up.

He saw the remaining roots now flying up to Greninja, and again he tapped his foot and Greninja easily sliced through it.

Now Greninja was falling with speed towards the grass type, Ash thought for a moment then winked.

Greninja's arms and legs glowed a light blue colour. With the momentum Greninja had more strength in his kicks and punches and as a result the final blow made Torterra fly backwards and land on its back and this time it was knocked out.

"No way!" Brock shouted. He was in utter disbelief.

"Torterra is unable to battle! Greninja wins the second round!" More cheers erupted in the crowd.

In the crowd...

"He is using drugs!" May shouted at Ash, most people around them were also supporting Brock and shouted abuse to Ash.

"Nah, they done a drug test and none of them had drugs implanted" Someone said.

"Shut up!" Drew said.

With Serena and the others...

"Oh. My. God" Shauna was lost for words at what she just saw. In fact everyone was. Everyone was left wide mouthed by Ash and his underrated power.

"Actually on second thoughts, I might wanna avoid Ash" Alain said sweat dropping.

"Ash will take this tournament by storm. He will blitz past everyone" Max spoke and everyone nodded and just stared at the cheeky grin of Ash.

Back on the field...

"No way am I getting white washed! Not by this douche" Brock thought and suddenly another grin cropped up on his face.

"I do have one last tale in this story... yes this will be it" Brock grabbed the poke ball and for the 3rd time tossed it into the field.

"My final Pokemon... Rayquaza"

Next Chapter: Disguised Dinner

After the battle, there is a little bit of a confrontation but that gets sorted out. And then it was mission disguised dinner to find out information from the traitors after discovering a horrible truth! Did they succeed?
