"Reflection Cave; When two worlds come together" Clemont said, looking at the cave uphead. "What exactly is the reflection cave?" May asked. Clemonts glasses became foggy and he had a huge grin, as if he saw that booty😜, "It's a cave which holds an alleged portal to a parallel universe to ours, so there could be us on the other side" Clemont explained to the group. "However there is some important information but I just can't remember it" Clemont said trying to think. "Well that's great isn't it scientist boy" Gary said causing a few giggles around the group.

"Let's set up a camp for tonight, and get started tomorrow" Brock said. Everyone nodded and set up their tents. Soon they came to a campfire, which was made by Charizard, and started chatting while eating their food.

"So Ash can you do the synchro evolution thing with Charizard?" Trevor asked as he was fascinated by the beasts presence.

"I don't actually know, we've never tried but my Charizard is still really powerful" Ash replied. "You and Greninja seemed to be on another level back in Shalour, especially that Water Shuriken" Gary said.

Ash remembered the encounter, vividly as he was in an unstable state at the time. He could recall the rather polished and bigger Shuriken which knocked out Team Flare in one hit.

"Our bond gets stronger by the minute, we put more and more force which gets the best out of us and the important thing is to never give up till the end" Ash said. Serena blushed at the phrase as she recalled the memory when her hero saved her in the forest back in Pallet towns summer camp.

Flashback

"Where is everybody" A young Serena said looking around the forest. She continued to walk, frightened, by the trees which massively overshadowed her. There then was a rustle in a near by bush. Serena had clenched all of her muscles as she expected some kind of Ghost.

A poliwag jumped out causing Serena to stumble backwards. As she did, she tripped over a trees root causing her to fall down and graze her knee.

"MOMMY!" Serena shouted with streams of tears rolling down her soft and young cheeks. Again there was a rustle but seemed more bigger and with more force. Serena closed her eyes in fear as the rustling came to a halt.

"Poliwag?" Serena heard a boys voice call out for the Poliwag which ran away. The boy came out the bushes and spotted Serena on the floor crying. He rushed over to her.

"Are you okay, why are you crying?" The young boy asked. Serena looked up and gazed into the boys raven eyes.

"I fell and I hurt my knee and I can't get up" Serena said still whimpering. The boy pulled out a handkerchief and tied it around her knee tightly.

"Pain Pain Go away, leave this girl alone" The boy said as he waved his hands around her knee. Serena tried to get up but winced in pain.

"Ow, I can't get up still" Serena said with her sobs dying down. The boy  put out his hand for support.

"Don't give up till it's over, kay?" The boy said. Serena slowly reached out to grab his arm. Ash abruptly grabbed it forcing Serena to jerk forward and embrace Ash in a hug. Serena quickly pulled away, even though she liked it.

"By the way my name is Ash, what is yours?" Ash said with a toothy grin.

"M-my names Serena" Serena replied still holding Ash's hand. "That's a beautiful name" Ash replied. Serena blushed at his words. "Well let's go back to camp we don't want to be late for dinner" Ash said licking his lips. With hand in hand they both walked off in the direction of their camp.

End of Flashback

"Always my hero" Serena thought as she daydreamed about the scene.

"Serena!" Ash said waving his hands in front of her face. Serena instantly snapped out of her daydream and back to reality.

"Oh sorry, what is it Ash" Serena asked.

"Oh everyone's gone to sleep and you were her daydreaming about what exactly?" Ash enquired.

"When we met back at Professor Oaks camp" Serena said. "Oh, yeah I will never forget that moment and I'm glad I met you that day. You've helped me a lot" Ash said. "Thank you Ash, I don't know what I could have done without you" Serena said as she blushed. "Live your life and fulfill your dreams" Ash simply replied. "Yeah but not with everything that's going on" Serena chuckled. "True... Well let's get to bed I'm feeling sleepy" Ash said as he let out a huge yawn.

He offered his hand to Serena who took it but was jerked forward due to the pressure Ash put on the pulling bit. They embraced in a hug, Serena's thoughts were flooded by the scene when the first met. She pulled away and stared at Ash in his raven eyes. Ash stares back with their faces getting closer and closer until..

"Ash you coming to sleep or not" Tierno shouted from their tent. Ash and Serena yanked their heads away and looked away in embarrassment.

"Yeah we are coming" Ash replied to Tierno.

"Lets go" Ash said to Serena, who followed him to the tent. They both got in their sleeping bags but this time Serena didn't put her head on Ash's chest because of what happened nearly a moment ago.

"Good night Serena" Ash said.

"Goodnight Ash" Serena replied before closing her eyes and drifting into slumber.

"Where is that girl gone?" A rocket grunt said to his partner. "Mate she was with you, so I don't know" the other grunt replied holding his hands up.

In the distance, behind a bush, a litte girl lay huddled up in fear with a pichu inside it's satchel. "I wish mommy and daddy were here" the girl said with melancholy. She sneaked over to a tree, which had it's trunk open for a person to camp inside. "Pichu, let's rest here for now and we'll run away before 10 am tomorrow" The young girl said to its Pokémon. The girl lied down and fell asleep instantly.

Back with the grunts;

"We need to get the girl before 10 am tomorrow" one of the grunt said.

"Why 10 am?" The other one asked.

"Because that's when the portal closes you dimwit" the grunt replied angrily as well as hitting him on the head with a punch.

"Quit goofing around and let's find that girl" The grunt said as he sped off in the direction of where the girl went. Then there was loud shriek from that direction.

The little girl was running away from the grunt and soon lost him and hid behind a bush again.

"Someone please save me" the girls whimpered.

Ash got up with a start and looked around the tent frantically.

"I need to save that girl" Ash said. He unzipped the tent and went in the direction of the cave. He was stopped by the presence of Greninja and Pikachu. "Master where are you going at this hour" Greninja asked. "There is a little girl in danger, we need to save her quick" Ash replied. Greninja and Pikachu got determined looks and followed Ash in the cave.

"How do we know which mirror it is and how do we open it" Ash said as he walked around the room. There was only one thing on his mind and that was to save the little girl at all costs. As soon as he thought of it a mirror next to him started to waver and revealed an opening to another dimension.

"Guys its over here, lets go" Ash said as he jumped through followed by his other two Pokémon. They sped off in the direction of the only source of light hoping that it would be the exit. To there fortune it was and they ran in search of the girl.

Where could she have gone" Ash thought. As soon as he finished his thoughts another shriek was heard and it was close by. Ash ran over to where the noise had come from.

"Come on little girl, your coming with us" The grunt got closer to the little girl who was crying a river the size of Nile. The man was about to lunge to grab the girl but a Pikachu barged it out the way. "Leave her alone" Ash shouted as he came into view. He ran and grabbed the girl. "Pikachu use thunder, Greninja use water shuriken" Ash commanded. Both moves hit each grunt which sent them flying back into a bush.

Ash was running as fast as he could away from the rocket members sights. Ash stopped as he was out of breath and was clearly out of plain view of the Team rocket grunts. Ash let the girl down from his possession.

The girl backed away in fear of the stranger. "Please don't hurt me!" The girl pleaded. Ash kneeler down till he was her height. "Don't worry I'm not here to hurt you, I promise. I came here to save you" Ash said in a soothing voice. The voice made the girl calm down as it reminded her when her dad used to comfort her.

"Thank you mister" The girl said.

"Your welcome and by the way call me Ash. Also what is your name" Ash asked.

"My name is Kaylin and my partner pichu" Kaylin replied as she pointed to the small mouse like Pokémon in her bag.

"Nice to meet you Kaylin. How exactly did you get here?" Ash asked.

"I was chased by those baddies and I wanted escape. That's when I saw a mirror open so I ran through it." Kaylin explained to Ash.

"Don't worry we'll get you out of here, and where are your parents" Ash asked.

"They were killed by an evil old man with a cat Pokémon" Kaylin said.

"Giovanni..." Ash growled under his breath. "I'm sorry dear, maybe you can come along with me and my friends, I promise you we are nice people" Ash said hoping Kaylin would agree.

"Okay, after all you did save me daddy" Kaylin replied.

"Daddy?" Ash said. "You remind me of my daddy so I want to call you daddy" Kaylin replied. Ash nodded in response.

"Why don't you sleep and tomorrow we will get out of here, okay?" Ash said. Kaylin nodded then yawned before falling asleep on Ash's lap. "Maybe I could be her family for now" Ash thought before falling asleep himself.

"Master wake up it's 9:30, we need to get out" Greninja said as he woke Ash up. "Blimey lets go, kaylin honey wake up we have to go" Ash said moving Kaylin's body. The little girl aroused from her sleep but still looked groggy.

"Charizard come on out" Ash said as he threw a Pokéball which released the fire dragon Pokémon. "We will be riding on this bad boy, are you ready?" Ash asked Kaylin.

"I'm scared" Kaylin replied looking at the huge presence of the Pokémon. "Don't worry he's a friendly Pokémon, he likes you see he's telling you to get on" Ash said pointing at Charizard who was telling her to get on, kindly. "Ans don't worry I will hold you all the way, kay" Ash said encouraging the young being. "Kay" the girl replied as she hopped on followed by Ash, Greninja and Pikachu.

"Charizard let's go to the reflection cave and get out" Ash said. Charizard ascended in the air and soared in the direction of the cave. Unfortunately the caves entrance was blocked by the foolish grunts from last night but Ash wasn't holding back. "Charizard just bulldoze through them" Ash said. Charizard increased it's speed towards the grunts who were knocked and sent flying far away.

"Let's hurry we only have a few minutes " Ash said as he and the rest rushed through the cave in search of the mirror. They found it straight away. "How do we open it?" Ash asked out of thin air. "It's said to be connected by our hopes and dreams, so maybe if we wish to return it might open" Kaylin said. This surprised Ash as she knew a lot of stuff about the reflection cave. "How do you know so much about this place?" Ash asked. "Me and my dad used to come her occasionally and he would tell me stories about the place" Kaylin replied.

Ash nodded in response to her explanation. He started walking around hoping that he could go back to the original world. The others that were with him also started to hope they could go back. After a few seconds the mirror started to waver and eventually it opened revealing the other side.

"Yes it's opened, Pikachu Greninja go across first" Ash said. His Pokémon obeyed and crossed over the portal to return to their original world.

"Next is Kaylin, come on..." Ash looked to his left and saw the grunts holding Kaylin at gun point.

"If you move, we will shoot" The grunt with the gun said.

"Ohh, you've made a mistake by making me angry" Ash said. He disappeared in thin air, leaving the grunts in confusion. Next thing they knew, they had been hit hard and knocked out. Ash then came out of his invisibility and went to Kaylin.

"Are you alright?" Ash asked hoping she was. Kaylin hugged Ash in reply of his action. "Your the best, Ash!" She exclaimed. Ash chuckled at her words. "I wish I had caring parents" Ash mumbled under his breath. "what did you say" the young girl enquired at his murmur. "Oh nothing. Charizard get rid of these grunts." Ash said. Charizard picked up the two grunts and headed for the exit.

"Master hurry up it is nearly ten, the portals are starting to repel each other" Greninja said as the portals slowly started moving away from each other. "Yes I'm waiting for Charizard" Ash said. The Pokémon soon came back and was returned in its Pokéball. When Ash turned around he noticed it had become a big gap to walk across the portals.

"Kaylin come in my arms, we'll have to jump" Ash said as he picked up Kaylin in his arms. Ash turned his hat backwards and took a few steps back. "Please, I have to make this" Ash said. He then took a sprint and lunged forward to get some air time. He landed on a ledge just outside of the portal. He managed to drop Kaylin safely in through the portal but was misfortunate himself as he lost balance and was plummeting into an abyss.

"AHHHHH" Ash was screaming for his dear life. He closed his eyes and at that moment everything stopped. He opened his eyes and saw Greninja's tongue rapped around him. "Phew that was close" Ash said to himself. He was then ushered back to the surafce where he was hugged by everyone that was with him.

"Sorry for the worry, and thank you Greninja" Ash said to Greninja, who nodded in response. "Well let's get back" Ash said as he gave Kaylin a piggy back.

"Hey has anyone seen Ash?" Serena said as she approached the group who were eating their breakfast.

"No, don't worry he might have gone to train so he should be back" Paul said. Serena nodded but sat down with a worried look.

"You care a lot about Ash don't you" Dawn said out loud to Serena. "What do you mean?" Serena said blushing heavily. "Your blush gave it away, Serena. Don't worry you guys make a cute couple" Misty said winking making Serena blush even more red. "He's just a good friend, who I don't want to lose" Serena said annoyed. "Yeah we believe you" May said with a hint of sarcasm. Everyone laughed at the scene and teased Serena.

After a few minutes of teasing they all started to worry, as Ash hadn't come back for quite a while.

"Jeez, he's taking his time. Wondered what happened" Gary said looking around for any sign of Ash. He looked in the direction of the cave and spotted 4 figures. One of the figures was being carried on a piggy back ride. Once they edged closer Gary noticed it was Ash and his Pokémon with a little girl.

"Guys Ash is back" Gary said as he pointed to Ash's figure walking towards their campsite.

Ash noticed Gary pointing at him. He could see the group running towards him. He let Kaylin down onto the floor. "Well we are back" Ash said to Kaylin. Serena was the fastest one to reach and quickly engaged herself into a hug with Ash. "Where have you been, I've been so worried" Serena said as she puller away.

"Is she your girlfriend?" Kaylin asked. "No she's my very best friend since day one, her name is Serena" Ash introduced Serena to Kaylin. "My mothers name was Serena" Kaylin said. Serena looked down in confusion at the little girl. "Where your parents honey" Serena knelt down to the height of Kaylin. Kaylin looked up to Ash, so he could explain it. "Um Serena, her parents are no more" Ash said. "Oh I'm sorry" Serena said to the brown haired girl. "It's okay, now that I have Ash, I'm perfectly fine" Kaylin replied.

Soon the group caught up and asked the same questions and Ash answered with the same answers. They all looked at the girl in pity.

"How did you meet her?" Clemont asked. Ash then explained the events that had occurred during the night. The group looked at him in somewhat anger. "You put yourself in danger don't do that you could one day regret that what you have done" Serena said annoyed. "Sorry, I had to save her" Ash said. "You could have been lost and I can't bear that again" Serena said. The group nodded in agreement at Serena's argument.

"Don't scold him, he saved me and I'm really thankful he did. He's the bravest person I know" Kaylin said holding Ash's hand. Ash appreciated her try so he squeezed her hand in return.

"Wow, she really likes you" Serena said.

"Yeah" Ash chuckled. Serena bent down again to be the same level as Kaylin.

"I'm sorry for scolding Ash" Serena said in a soothing voice. "That's okay, you wanted your loved ones to be safe. I understand but it's just that I have no one to care for me" Kaylin said sadly. "Aww don't worry I'll be here for you" Serena said hugging the little girl. Kaylin hugged her back. "Yes and daddy" Kaylin said. Serena pulled away. "Daddy?" Serena said confused. "She said I remind her of her dad, so she calls me daddy" Ash explained. "And you can be mommy" Kaylin said grabbing Serena's hand. Serena blushed furiously at her comment. "Me as your mommy" Serena said.

"Go on Serena, it's your chance to be with Ash" May whispered in Serena's ear.

"Yeah Serena, you will do just fine" Brock said encouraging her.

"Yeah, and I wouldn't mind if you um helped me look after her, because I can be pretty bad at times" Ash said rubbing the part underneath his nose.

"O-okay, I'll be your mommy, and what is your name?" Serena said.

"Kaylin" The little girl replied.

"That's a cute name, Kaylin. Well looks like I'm your mommy" Serena said. "Yes and he is my daddy" Kaylin said. She grabbed both Ash and Serena's hand so she was in the middle and holding their hands. It was like a match made in heaven.
