Clear Crush

"And there!" Blue eyes gleamed with satisfaction as her pose was mirrored in the reflection. Even with just a uniform, she knew how to make it the most fabulous garment in the universe.

Grabbing her bag and swinging it over her shoulder, such an action looked as if she walking down an aisle in a fashion show. Opening the door with grace and closing it with dramatizing flamboyance.

Her day is a new day. One she will soon make her progress!

"Morning, Aoyoma-Chan." A voice greeted her. Looking behind her with a curious smile, she meets the lady of class one-A: Momo.

"Bonjour, camarade de classe!" Yuma greeted in return. She and the class-Vice president shared a smile a nodded. Both taking their leave towards the class.

"How was your sleep?"

"It was fantastic!"

"Glad to see your cheery. It's been difficult the past few days."

"Indeed it has, but a new day is a bright day! As my mother often says." Yuma said as she and the Vice President walked to the lobby. They continued in their idle talk as they ate breakfast.

Yuma Aoyama, a sixteen-year-old half-French-half-Japanese attending on the most prestigious hero academies. She always dreamed of being a hero from young, her idol being All Might. The way he shines into the scene and gives his bright smile in the face of adversity is her inspiration. Just as many others like her as well. One, in particular, stood in the kitchen helping out with breakfast.

"So Midoriya, you awfully like Katsudon. You realize it's not an ideal meal, yes?" Todoroki asks a sheepishly looking Izuku who rubbed the back of his neck.

"I know...it's just been a while since I had it. It reminds me of home." The green-haired youngster replied.

"Mind if I had some?" Todoroki asks, getting in on this meal.

"Oh! Sure, here. I can give you half of mine. Get a bowl."

Yuma saw the exchange with fascination. Son Amour's favorite meal is Katsudon. She beamed at her mental note to surprise Izuku tomorrow with her cooking.

The trip to homeroom was pleasant, enjoying the company of her amis. Ready to show the world her sparkling joy. Even to their gloomy, atmospheric homeroom teacher.

With classes being a mix challenging or easy to comprehend. Her sights were set on acquainting herself with the dreams of the present. Pulling out a block of cheese-flavored crackers. She strolled over to his desk.

"Deku, can I borrow your notes, I didn't quite get Midnight-Sensei's lecture today."

Ignoring the presence of another classmate, Yuma made her entrance just as about Izuku was going to speak.

"Yea, sure-hm??"

"How is it my amour?" Yuma asks delicately, she made sure to let the young man next to her finish the cracker on his own. Izuku blushes beautifully in the eyes of the French mix. His chews were slow, still embarrassed as he finishes the crackers.

"Aoyama-San? I didn't see you. How've you been?" Izuku asks, regaining his composure. This wasn't the first time, Yuma pulled something like this on him, the young man honestly thought she was teasing him. Kinda how like Ashido does with Uraraka.

"I am well, how was the snack?" She asks winking her eyes at the young man. Izuku blushes at the forward expression.

"It was good, not used to eating cheese though."

"Ah, I see, well I have some more if you want to eat with me." She offered to reveal a bag full of cheese crackers. Izuku hesitates, not that the snack was bad, it was actually tasty in his own opinion, no it was the fact that he would be sharing a snack for the first time with a girl. So he didn't want to come off as annoying or boring.

"I wouldn't...want to impose."

"Please amour, your never imposing moi." She sat on his desk, setting the bag of cheese-flavored crackers on her lap. Taking one out, with nothing but action she offers to feed the teen.

"I-I can...eat for myself."

"It's a good gesture where I grew up," Yuma replied, not letting up the idea of feeding him herself.

"Ah...okay." Izuku's face was red from this unforeseen moment. Leaning towards the cracker, Yuma plopped it in his mouth. Her smile was brighter than he could ever known. Izuku closes his eyes from his embarrassment but chewed eagerly.

"Now moi." She offered him the bag. Izuku, with shaky hands and sweaty palms, grasps one cracker before using his other hand to make sure not to drop the cracker to the floor. It played out in a scene like some cheesy romance television show. Izuku, with hesitant patients, had put his share in her mouth. With a soft humming, Yuma smiles with a faint hew on her cheeks.

Izuku was off in his own little world, his mind racing miles per second.

"Uh..." a third voice interrupted the two teenagers. Izuku looked to the source and immediately cursed himself mentally, he was being watched by Ochako, who right now had an uncomfortable expression on her face.

Izuku backed a little bit away from Yuma, his hands waving in a rapid but apologetic manner.

"Uraraka-San, sorry about that." Izuku thought he was being considerate and apologized for his actions but all it did was make both girls feel unappreciated. Yuma thought that Izuku didn't like the intimate interaction, as harmless as she intended it to be. She knew about his social anxiety since the beginning of the year. So seeing Izuku regret his actions stung a bit. Ochako, on the other hand, felt quite envious at the boldness displayed by Yuma. For she in all her time spent with Izuku, she could never be that forward. Sure, with all the time she had, she was starting to see so many girls had recently interact with her close friend, but it didn't make the uneasy sensation any less easy to deal with.

"Oh, it's no big deal Deku! Anyway, I'm going to get some lunch. You want to come with? What about you Aoyama-Chan."

"Oh...sure." Izuku accepted the invitation. Yuma only nodded.

To say the trio had an awkward lunch would be the understatement of the day. Izuku constantly felt this feeling of being eyed, as if something or someone was anticipating his next move. Being in his usual table of six, Izuku gave up his seat so Yuma could sit down with the rest, the boy himself took a single chair table. He was too embarrassed to communicate with his other friends, thinking about how bold Yuma is and what brought this sudden change.

Yuma only stayed as active as she wanted, which was minimal. She felt guilty for her amour to give up a chair for her, but that chivalrous action did nothing but interest her further. Paying little attention to the conversations that Class President Ilda and the half-hot-half-cold user, Shouto. Uraraka kept her conversations towards Tsuyu and Yuma herself. Most of it was about school and plans for the weekend.

To the right of her, she would glance ever so slightly towards Izuku. Stealing looks here and there. She saw the confused expression on his face as he ate but deep in thought as well. Had she been to forward? Did she shine too bright that it temporarily blinded Izuku with confusion?

Maybe, the next approach should be more easygoing.

At least that's what Yuma planned it to be.

With the acting stomach and quivering legs. She could feel her body doubled over due to the stress and exertion she put upon her quirk. Practicing her special moves and other tactics to get a better handle on using her powers in different ways.

The class was just about up, she walked over to Izuku, who was still lost in thought.

"Amour...you seem...troubled. Are you well?" She asks with anxious legs. Her mind was sending her signals to go to the nearest restroom. So much for easygoing.

"Aoyoma-San, it's just...I am thinking on improving my usage a bit more is all. I can tell that you are reaching your limit back there. I should be asking you if you are well."

For a moment, she felt relieved. Izuku was not overthinking about her. In a good manner.

"I am fine..."

"You sure, the class is over, we should get you to a place to rest. Maybe..."

"You're amazing you know that?" Yuma cut in.

"Excuse me...?"

"The way you shine...it...it makes me want to work hard to be a hero. Our quirks...both of us are constantly...harmed by it....yet we persevere. At least...you do..." She said with pauses to control her stress by breathing and exhaling.

"Aoyoma-Chan...you...thank you. It's nice of you to say such words. But don't sell yourself short. You're just as amazing. You even shine brighter than me all of the time. So please don't think less of yourself." Izuku thanked the aspiring mood Yuma put him into. He smiled with confidence and pride in their future as heroes. Yuma returned the smile. She was about to speak before a noise disrupted the mood.

*pfft*

Izuku blinked blankly as Yuma stared back with horror in her eyes. She feared that it would disgust anyone, even Izuku.

"Please...excuse me..." Yuma tried to walk away to find the nearest restroom but she felt a hand on her arm and on behind her back.

"Let me help you get there," Izuku suggested, Yuma didn't disagree with anything.

The pair both walked to the nearest woman's restroom, Izuku waited outside while Yuma did her business. He heard it but decided to ignore it, it was a common body reaction when to much gas is built up in the intestines. So he didn't have to right or character to judge Yuma for that.

After several minutes, the young lady in silver clade armor came out with an embarrassed expression, on that rivaled Izuku's usual blush.

"Sorry...you had to be in the presence..."

"It's no big deal. Let's head back." Izuku shook his head with a calm smile, he reassures that simple accident, if you can call it one, would deteriorate their relationship.

Yuma nodded, grateful and appreciative of the kind expressions. She walked along Izuku, without the boy realizing it, Yuma attempted to reach for his hand but dropped it back to her side.

Closing her eyes, she thought about her methods. Maybe, she will just try to be friends first without letting her feelings get in the way. After all, it was just crush, a clear crush.
