"Ahahahaha... Now, I can easily take on any gym leader now! Mwahahaah" -Ethan laughed

"Oh really, well, maybe you should try taking on the Flying-type leader at Violet City, he's been rumored to have a premature Pidgeotto in his lineup, maybe we can expose him." -Someone said to Ethan while patting on his shoulder

"Who are you?" -Ash asked the strange man

"Me? I'm the best Pokémon trainer in the world!" -The man responded

"Really? How come kids have trouble taking down Cynthia's team? How many badges do you have? And who are you??" -Serena suspiciously asked

"Badges? Really? Badges are for skrubs. I have won 2 Puupür Champion Titles in battling" -The man showed his medals

"In my region, they judge a trainer by their ability to train/choose/raise Pokémon and let them hold onto the suitable item, not the ability to spam Full Restores on your party because that's pathetic. Also, my name is Kidneypuup."

"Kidneypuup? I think I've heard of it somewh-" -Ethan was cut off by Ash

"Sooo... Does friendship win you battles? Like my Pikachu can KO an Onix because we are really close?" -Ash asked

"Mehhh, not quite... If you count the move Return which has full power when a Pokémon's happiness is at its peak, then yes." -Kidneypuup answered

"Hey umm... Mr. Kidneypuup, may I battle you? There was an old man who told me his strategy to winning battles earlier, so I thought I could try it on you..." -Ethan shyly asked Kidneypuup for a battle

"Oooh, a strategy? Cool! I've never seen a newbie in Pokémon having a strategy before. Alright, let's kick it!"

You are challenged by Smogoon Kidneypuup!

Smogoon Kidneypuup sends out Chansey!

"Alright, this Pokémon looks slow enough. Rattata, use Endeavor!"

Chansey somehow outsped Rattata and used Toxic

"Oh no! This is bad, run with me Rattata!"

"You shall not run from this battle." -A deep, loud voice came from the sky (it was Arceus)

A few turns later...

"Hmm, my Rattata survived the Toxic and Seismic Toss on 1 HP somehow! OK, now use Endevor!"

Chansey's HP got to 1, but then it used Soft-Boiled

"F..." -Ethan almost raged

Rattata fainted

Ethan then saw a white light somewhere above his head...

"Oh don't worry we're just testing the light system for the new battle frontier. It will be finished in like the sequel to Pokémon Heartgold or something...what are the chances of that happening?" -A construction worker said to the hypnotised Ethan. However, he then got sucked into a blackhole and was replaced by what you would consider to be a cheap 3d-printed version of himself.

Ethan then somehow walked to the Cherrygrove City Pokémon Center unconscious, while the gang and Kidneypuup followed him.

"Here, your Pokémon are fully healed." -Said Nurse Joy snapping her fingers near Ethan's ear.

"How did I end up here?!? I was just recalling my memories when I was like 2 years old which I couldn't remember. You guys totally ruined it." -Ethan got upset

"Sorry, but we just want to do the right thing jeez how could I have a crush on somebody like tha..." -Lyra went on without control

"You... what??" -Ethan gasped

"Uh-oh, I think we should leave the lovebirds some privacy" -Ash said to Serena

"Sure."

And so they went upstairs to the Pokémon Center rest room (not toilet).

Ethan and Lyra are now sitting right next to each other... staring into the Johto seas...

– Lyra, please be honest. Was the thing you said back in the Pokémon Center... true?

– Y...yes. The truth is... I've been thinking a lot about you since you moved nextdoors to me. Even though your attitude can sometimes be a bit annoying, I still like you a lot... And when you decided to come along with us, you make me realize that... not all people in the world are... heartless...

– Th...thank you Lyra... Actually, I also have quite a crush you as well... Since I saw you chasing Team Rocket's helicopter without hesitation, I've always thought about how irresponsible I am in life. You and Rattata have taught me a lesson... a lesson about, the value of friendship... and the beautiful bond between human and Pokémon...
So uhh... Lyra, would you like to go out with me?

– N...yes!

Lyra then grabbed Ethan. Her hands are wrapped around his neck, as the two cannot stop smiling while tearing up.

Everybody was looking at the two, going "D'aww" in their minds, about how beautiful love is...

"Well, seems like my job here is done... Talonflame, please fly me to Littleroot Town, I have somebody to ask out..."

Smogoon Kidneypuup's Talonflame then gracefully carried him over the skies of the beautiful Johto region, while Ethan and Lyra were sharing their first kiss...
