( you were made for me, you're my ecstasy )

chapter fourteen !

VINCENT LIKED GETTING DRUNK A FAIR AMOUNT. He'd done it a few times back during school, sit under the bleachers with a few others and chug down a bottle of bitter tasting beer. He liked how gross it tasted, liked the way it burned as it made its way down his throat.

He was a lightweight. Despite all the years of him getting so drunk it hurt his head, he would get drunk after only a few shots. He didn't know if he hated the fact that he could get intoxicated so easily, or if he liked it. Perhaps it was a good thing, for it was so much easier to feel something.

Despite their plans, Five and Vincent didn't end up getting drunk immediately.

Five parked the van somewhere by the man who makes prosthetics car, gesturing for Vincent to get out of the car with him but stay a ways away. He did so, standing close by and watching as Five teleported into the car and threatened the man with a knife.

He paused at the end, gesturing for Vincent to make his way into the car, sitting in the backseat with a grin on his lips at the surprised expression of the man. "H-him too?" He asked, eyes wide.

"Yes, he's coming too. It's a package deal, Lance. Don't like it, die." Five spoke simply, shrugging his shoulders. Lance shook his head quickly, starting the car and beginning to drive towards the lab. "The eye could have been bought already. He was bullshitting us." Five explained to Vincent, who simply laughed.

Vincent didn't care much about these things. He was only here because Five dragged him into it. He missed his orange juice that was most likely getting warm in the van.

The drive took quite a while, and once they got to the lab it was seemingly too late. It was on fire, smoke fuming from it. Vincent rolled his eyes when Five ran out of the car, getting out as well and walking over right when there was a small explosion, Five falling to the ground. "You dumbass." Vincent mumbled under his breath, kneeling beside Five. "You okay, you stupid fuck?" He asked with a chuckle.

Five sat up slowly, looking at the building rather than Vincent. "I'm fine. Don't worry about it." He spoke, distracted by the building. He huffed a bit, licking his lips. "Okay, we're getting drunk for real this time." He spoke before grabbing Vincent's hand, teleporting with him to the alleyway he'd left Dolores and his bottle of vodka in.

It was fast paced, a blur.

And now Vincent didn't know where Five had found his alcohol. He wasn't aware how Five had gotten a huge bottle of vodka, but he supposed he stole it from one of his late father's cabinets.

And Five wanted to get drunk. Vincent knew of the boys drinking problem, but still agreed because he too needed to get fucked up. So here they were, sitting in an alleyway with their legs crossed, right across from one another.

Vincent couldn't quite take it anymore. The way Five would bring the bottle to his lips, tilt his head back, swallow, repeat, pass to Vincent was all too much. And it didn't help that Five looked so good drunk, with his hair strewn sloppily over his eyes as leaned over himself, a small smile curled on his lips at all times and his eyes a bit darker than they had been before.

Vincent couldn't help but stare everytime Five fiddled with the bottle or would look over at Dolores for a moment as if she were truly speaking to him; maybe she was, but Vincent didn't like the idea that she actually was real.

Vincent was very drunk as he moved closer to Five's side, laying back against his shoulder slightly, feeling the slight rumble in Five's chest as he laughed a bit. Vincent looked up, grinning a bit when he was met right back with Five's stare, both almost examining one another's face. "Y'know, you're real real pretty." Vincent whispered with a laugh following. Fuck. He didn't know why he said that.

Five's face almost immediately turned a bright red, turning his head away to take a large swig of the vodka next to him, which they were very close to finishing. "I don't think you're right. You called me an ugly bastard a few times." He joked, raising his eyebrow with a smile.

Vincent rolled his eyes, shaking his head as he leaned closer to Five, wrapping his arms around the boys neck loosely. "That was a long time ago. And you were ugly. You were old." He laughed out.

Five chuckled, arms wrapping slowly around Vincent's waist, tenderly and hesitantly. Vincent didn't mind it, he was a cuddly drunk, humming lightly under his breath before he looked up at Five.

Five, who looked so gorgeous in the dim light given by the alleyway. Five, who made Vincent's heart pound so hard it was deafening. Five, whose lips were so soft looking. And, well, fuck.

Vincent glared at Dolores for a moment before poking Five in the stomach. Five coughed, leaning over himself for a moment with a wince. "What the fuck was that for? My pain tolerance is shit when I'm drunk." He grumbled.

Vincent pointed at Dolores lazily, waving his hand around with a chuckle. "Turn her around. She's staring at me and I don't like it." He slurred out his words.

"She's not gonna like me turning her around," Five started before looking down at Vincent, who simply rolled his eyes like a child. Five huffed, "Fine, fine." He grabbed Dolores, turning her around to face away from both of them.

Vincent grinned widely, sitting up more to be face to face with Five, hands coming to rest on each of his cheeks. He furrowed his eyebrows for a moment, squishing them together with a laugh when Five tried to slap his hands away.

Vincent finally stopped with a smile, hands still resting on the boys cheeks. He leaned closer, close until he felt Five's breath on his lips, until he could see closely the way Fives eyebrows furrowed and his face turned pink.

Surprisingly, Vincent wasn't the one to close the distance. Five did it, pushing closer as their lips attached sloppily, both of the boys eyes fluttering shut as they leaned into it. Vincent's fingers moved up slowly into Five's hair, gripping lightly and pulling, eliciting the smallest noises from Five.

Vincent situated himself right in Five's lap, right where he basically had been beforehand. Five didn't seem to care, kissing Vincent a bit harder. And fuck, it was amazing. Five was so gentle, so caring and so good at this.

And then, just as quick as the long kiss came, it ended. Five was the one to pull away, panting lightly with his face deeply red, licking his lips as he looked away.

Vincent swallowed hard, imagining that he probably looked the same, running a shaky hand through his own hair. "Shit, Fivey. You could have told me earlier you wanted to makeout." He grinned, stumbling to stand up and get off Five's lap.

"Eh. Was kinda spur of the moment," Five shrugged off, grabbing the vodka bottle and Dolores as he stood up. "C'mon, Vince." He mumbled.

Vincent grinned, walking over to Five and wrapping an arm around his torso. Vincent was a little taller than Five, leaning into the boy.

Five, nor Vincent, said anything for the rest of the walk to the library, where Five said it would be quiet. Five pulled Vincent up the steps to a corner and sat down, pulling Vincent down with him, who simply leaned against him yet again.

"I probably won't remember anything in the morning." Five mumbled to Vincent, tracing circles into the boys shoulder.

He said it with such a softness it made Vincent's heart ache. Such a way that conveyed just how annoyed Five would be if he couldn't remember what happened in the morning.

Vincent shrugged with a light chuckle. "It's okay.. I probably won't either." He spoke. Although, it was a lie. Vincent always remembered most of what happened when he was drunk. He just wanted to make himself feel better about it if Five didn't remember.

Five hummed, arms wrapping more around Vincent as he shut his eyes, Dolores discarded to the side carelessly. Vincent smiled lightly when he found Five to be asleep rather quickly a few minutes later.

Vincent nearly fell asleep as well, but Luther and Diego stepped over before he could, both of them looking skeptical, eyebrows furrowed. Diego walked over, kicking Vincent in the leg before doing the same to Five.

Vincent yelped lightly, glaring at Diego as he scrambled away from Five slightly. Five simply moved his middle finger up in the air towards Diego before his arms wrapped back around Vincent and pulled him closer. Vincent's face was absolutely burning.

Diego rolled his eyes, "We have to go. Something happened and Five and you will probably be killed if we don't take you back to somewhere safe." He spoke up.

Five suddenly spoke up with a shrug, sitting up a bit with his chin resting on Vincent's shoulder. Vincent was embarrassed as fuck, he had to admit. "Let them kill us," He slurred out with a small laugh. "Probably gonna end up dead, anyway."

"Only if you don't help us, Five. Please come with us." Luther said, eyes darting from Five to Vincent with furrowed eyebrows. "Dude, are you like really sure you two aren't dating?"

"Positive." Five mumbled, putting up a thumbs up in Luther's direction. "Datings stupid." He added on, to which Vincent chuckled, shaking his head as he turned around slowly to help Five stand up.

"Okay…. come on, Fivey. Don't put all your weight on me right now." Vincent chuckled breathlessly, unable to lift the boy up properly, simply falling back to the ground with a pained groan, Five on top of him, refusing to let go of his waist.

Luther still looked utterly confused, and Diego looked amused. Vincent huffed, rolling his eyes as he gestured for one of them to help him. Luther's eyes widened before he came over, picking Five up and carrying him like you would a baby.

Five groaned, shaking his head. "Luther smells fucking weird." He complained, huffing. "Don't forget the vodka. Oh- and- and Dolores." He hiccuped.

Vincent rolled his eyes before grabbing the bottle and the mannequin, beginning to walk with Diego by his side. Diego raised his eyebrows, hands stuffed in his pockets. "You don't seem drunk." He pointed out.

"I definitely definitely am very drunk. But Five can't handle himself when he is." Vincent laughed out, grinning. "Always thought it would be the other way around." He chuckled.

"Alright. Don't need the life story. Get walking." Diego chuckled, gesturing for Vincent to walk faster. Vincent rolled his eyes, walking closer to Luther and Five as they walked out of the library, back through the alleyway Five and Vincent had originally drank in. "Well, we can't go back to the house. It's not secure. Those psychopaths could come back at any moment." Luther spoke, Diego chuckling.

"My place is closer. No one will look for them there." Diego suggested, right as Five burped a bit, as if he were going to vomit.

"If you vomit on me-" Luther started, cut off by Five letting out a laugh, grinning.

"You know what's funny?" Five asked, glancing at Vincent for a moment before back to Luther. "I'm going through puberty. Twice. It's not very fun." He smiled. "We drank that whole bottle." He laughed. "That's what you do when the world you love goes bye byes. Poof! S'gone." He grinned, making a gesture with his hand.

"Eh. I didn't love it so much." Vincent shrugged with a laugh, still just as drunk as Five.

Five laughed. "But now you do." He wiggled his eyebrows. "What are you guys talking about?" He suddenly asked Luther and Diego.

"Two masked intruders attacked the Academy last night." Luther mumbled, sighing under his breath.

"They came looking for you and your boy toy here." Diego spoke, pointing to Vincent. "So I need you to focus, what do they want?"

Five hummed, shaking his head. "Don't call him that." He spoke, huffing. "S'Hazel and Cha-Cha."

Luther and Diego both muttered a "who" and a "y'know I hate codenames" at the same time, to which Vincent laughed a bit.

"They're the best of the best." Five grinned. "Cept for Vincent and I, of course. Me more than Vince." He slurred out, turning to face Vincent with a wink.

"Best of what?" Luther asked, furrowing his eyebrows as he looked down at Five.

"Y'know, Dolores always said she hated when I drank. She said it made me shirley." Five laughed out. "Vince didn't like it much either, but he always joined in eventually." He grinned.

"Hey! Hey! I need you to focus. What do this Hazel and Cha-Cha want?" Diego asked, raising his voice a bit, getting annoyed when all Five did was grin. "We just want to protect you."

"Protect me?" Five chuckled. "I don't need your protection, Diego. Do you have any idea how many people I've killed? I'm the fourth fucking horseman." Five laughed, not minding Diego and Luther's confusion. "Vince has killed more than me, though. He's like, supreme." He grinned. "The apocalypse is coming."

Vincent laughed, shaking his head in amusement right before Five began to throw up, to which he just watched with slight disgust. Luther let Five down, who stumbled out of his arms over to Vincent, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand before wrapping his arms around the boy.

Vincent still had Dolores in his hand, handing her over to Luther, who looked utterly annoyed as he managed to keep Five up all the way until they got to Diego's place.

The night ended, yet again, with Five pulling Vincent on top of him and them both sleeping cuddled right against each other. With Vincent replaying the feeling of Fives lips on his over and over again, still too intoxicated to understand how bad of an idea that was. But at least this time, they probably wouldn't remember in the morning.

That made it so much worse.
