(Ash's pov)

"Ahh, the weekend at last!" I said as I plopped down on my bed.

Serena giggled.

"I bet you're pretty worn out, you really studied hard." Serena said.

"Yeah, I guess we'll see when we get our grades if it was enough." I replied.

"Mhm! I'm sure you did just fine." Serena replied with a smile.

"Thanks Serena." I said, also smiling.

It's hard to believe it's already been a week since school began. It's gone by so quickly and so much has happened. First I not only met, but I'm roommates with a beautiful girl. A girl who just so happens to be a princess and the top student in the entire school. I've met so many amazing people. Clement, Sawyer, Bianca, Cilan, and Dawn.

Dawn....

Speaking of which, I'm also involved in a confidential investigation that could potentially decide the fate of the Kalos National Academy. Heck, maybe even the whole region of Kalos for all we know. It doesn't help that someone as friendly as Dawn could be involved. Oh and her brother too. Is it weird that I could actually see that happening? Regardless, Serena and I had begun our investigation into the two. We were expected to give a report of our findings tomorrow.

Serena and I sat down at her desk and began to put together everything we learned so far. Serena opened up her laptop and we began.

"Alright, so we basically still know nothing aside from a few behavioral norms." Said Serena as she typed.

I nodded.

"So, we know that they walk to school together, they take the long way for some reason, and that they don't really socialize all that much." I said.

Serena typed that down.

"What I find suspicious is how they almost seem to completely avoid any sort social involvement. They just go where they need to go and go straight back here." Serena said.

"Yeah, that does sound strange. I bet that's Paul's doing. After all, Dawn really opened up to us, but when she saw Paul she got really quiet." I replied.

Serena pondered that for a moment. Then she turned to me.

"Do you think that he's trying to keep Dawn from getting close to anyone so she won't leak anything about their scheme?" She asked.

"Could be, but then again maybe she doesn't even know in the first place." I said.

We both sighed.

"Man, this investigation stuff is harder than I thought." I said while scratching my head.

Serena looked down in disappointment.

"No kidding, I really feel like I'm not doing as good of a job as I could be." Serena said.

I placed my hand on her shoulder. She looked up at me and I gave her a reassuring smile.

"Don't worry Serena, you're doing just fine. Sure we may not have much to go on, but a little bit is still something! It's not like we're detectives, so I'd say that we're doing great considering the circumstances." I said reassuringly.

Serena smiled.

"Yeah, you're right, thanks Ash." She said happily.

"No problem!" I said giving a thumbs up.

Serena took a deep breath to reorient herself, then a look of determination came to her eyes. She clicked on a few tabs then turned to me.

"Ash, I think I may have an idea." She said.

"What kind of idea?" I asked as I took a look at the screen.

Serena had pulled up an email that she had just received from the KBI.

It read:

"According to one of our undercover operatives, it appears that target B, Dawn Berlitz, is going to be going shopping tomorrow morning. KBI recommends taking the opportunity to collect valuable information about the behaviors of the target. Best of luck. -KBI"

I smirked and turned to Serena.

"So, I guess we're going to do a little shopping tomorrow as well?" I said.

"Oh yeah, I'd say that's a lovely idea." Serena replied.

We high-fived.

Finally, we have an opportunity to get some major info! I just wonder, who is this agent that provided this tip? Oh well, I'm sure we'll find out sooner or later. For now though, we need to get some rest. I can tell we're gonna have one busy day tomorrow. Serena and I both took our showers and turned in.

"Good night Serena, see ya in the morning." I said with a yawn.

"Good night to you too Ash, sweet dreams." Serena replied.

It ended up taking us both a while to fall asleep from the exitement.

(???'s pov)

"Yes, I've given them the tip. Sir, don't you think it would be more helpful if I revealed myself to them? Yes sir, I understand, I will keep my identity a secret for a little longer. You too sir, goodbye."

*hangs up phone

"Good luck Princess Serena, we're counting on you."
