Pragya's POV

"wake up.." someone was shaking me

"Hmph!" I huffed

"Tsk.. wake up baccha, you'll be late for work."

"Five minutes please aunty.."

"God! You know, even Annika has woken up but look at you"

"Oh god! Okay I'm up!" I huffed and sat up with a frown on my face.

Mom smiled at me and kissed my forehead, and a smile broke out on my face.

"Good morning aunty"

She ruffled my hair and went down.

I got out of my bed and moved to take bath. The only thing that irritates me the most is waking up early. But I love my work to the core.

Coming out I saw the time and it was already late. And there you go is how I start my day.. oh where is my chatterbox.

That's when I heard a loud voice -

"Kishmish.. I'm getting late get your ass down here fast"

There you go my friends is my best friend or more like a sister to me Annika Mittal.

She is a fashion designer, and she is the light in my life. Oh no no I don't have any dark past, but when mom left me I was too young to understand but as I grew up I started to miss her. Papa was always there for me but I could always feel something missing.

And then we met Ram and Sarla Mittal, who were Papa's best friend. On his insistence Papa agreed to stay with them. And from then they became my family. And Annika, she became my lifeline - my best friend, my sister, my guide.

Oh shit! I'm late..

"Good morning everyone" I greeted everyone happily. Then I went and kissed Papa on his cheeks and he smiled at me.

"Good morning beta.. here comon let's have breakfast" Ram uncle.

"But I'm late.." I said looking at my watch and then Nikku.

"It's alright, when Annika here why fear, eat up fast then we will leave"

I nodded my head and started eating. I felt someone's gaze on me. I looked up and saw uncle, aunty and Papa looking at me like they wanted to ask something.

Papa cleared his throat which caught Nikku's attention.

"Umm.. I was actually thinking about something for you kids!"

"Yes Papa, what is it?" I looked at Annika whose face was clueless.

"I was actually thinking about your marriage beta!" Aunty said while Annika choked on her food.

I gave her a glass of and patted her back. And her face was priceless. Her face was red and she was coughing.

Being a dutiful friend as I am..

I started laughing!!

She looked at me, her eyes were red. And I started laughing more.

Someone cleared their throat and I turned to see Papa was glaring at us

"Hmm.. anyways you guys go to your work now, we will discuss it after you come back." Aunty said and we both nodded.

We bid bye and left.

Authors' POV

"So I agree with it"

"Even me"

Both Ram and Raghav now looked at Sarla who was still thinking.

They all were discussing about the marriage proposal that Raghav and his friend Tej Oberoi had discussed earlier. Ram had agreed as he had met Abhi in few meetings, but Sarla was still in thought.

Ram sighed and sat with Sarla he kissed her temple.

"He is really good boy Sarla, he is responsible, matured and the right match for our Pragya."

"Haa Sarla ji, I know Tej, our Pragya will be in safe hands.''

Sarla sighed as she nodded her head. Even though Pragya was not her own daughter she was not less than a real daughter. She always loved both Pragya and Annika equally. Even though she called her 'aunty' she knew that Pragya loved her like a mother. So being worried for her daughter's future was bugging her.

"Okay, I know that Raghav bhaiya will not take wrong decision, so I'm trusting you both. If I see anything wrong in that guy, then it's a 'no' from my side."

Both Ram and Raghav nodded their head happily.

It was evening, everyone were seated in the living room watching 'WAR'.

Sarla paused the movie which grabbed everyone's attention. Everyone looked at her in confusion.

"Pragya.. Annika we have decided something!"

"What's it ma?"

"We have found the suitable groom for you Pragya, he is my old friend Tej Singh Oberoi. It's his son."

Both Annika and Pragya looked at eachother in horror.

"But aunty -

"Do you trust us beta?" Now it was Ram who asked.

And Pragya nodded her head quickly, she didn't have a second thought about this.

"Then trust us beta. Your Papa will never do anything wrong for his daughter. If you didn't like him after meeting then it's surely a 'no'" Raghav said

Before Pragya could respond Annika started to ramble.

"Okay, but I need to search information about him. I need to see if he is 'good boy' or 'bad boy'. If he is good then it's a yes from my side"

Their parents nodded their head and Pragya looked at Annika.. sorry she glared at her.

Annika nudged her shoulders by giving an innocent look.

Pragya sighed and nodded her head in yes.

"I'm ready to meet him Papa!"

"I'm ready to investigate about him dad!''
