Chapter 32
Blaise's POV:
I was sitting in the stands, where the rest of the Slytherins were. Most of them were cheering and inspiriting the Slytherin Quidditch Team. However, Theo and I could not help but stare intently at Hermione, who was wearing a green outfit and had covered it up with a scarlet red jacket to hide most of her outfit.
If she hadn't wore the jacket, she amongst the other Gryffindors, would have stood out like a black sheep against the yellow pages. Hermione, who was our lively friend, was mostly engrossed in looking up dreamily at the cerulean blue sky.
A plethora of thoughts assailed through my mind. Why the fuck was she wearing green?
I doubted that she would have wanted to wear green. Knowing her well, she would have likely wore Gryffindor colours to the Quidditch Match.
"Don't you think something's off" I whispered to Theo and Theo nodded firmly as a sign of agreement.
"I think Draco made her wear it. After all, they are great friends." Theo assumed
"Shut up, would you? I think they're trying to convey, or maybe reveal something later. Maybe, they aren't just great friends. They're more than that.." I smirked knowingly. Draco couldn't possibly do that to his best friend.
I had known him since we were both in our mothers' womb. He definitely had another intention of making her do so..
Luna, who was the commentator of the match, began dreamily as she spoke into the megaphone."The match begins with the Slytherin Chaser-no wait Beater-"
'Sixty–fifty to Gryffindor!' barked Professor McGonagall into Luna's megaphone.
'Is it, already?' said Luna vaguely.
Half the Gryffindors agreed by nodding in approval or some protesting against the choice of the commentator for the Match.
Hermione, who I knew didn't give a damn about Quidditch, had her eyes fixed on Draco blankly, who was now soaring in the air to catch the Golden Snitch.
Weaslette, who was neck to neck with Draco, reached her hands out to catch the Snitch as she was inches away from it. Unfortunately, for the Gryffindors, Draco had gotten to the Snitch first and had caught it.
"Slytherin wins with two hundred and ten-sixty!" Professor McGonagall barked into the megaphone once more and pursed her lips.
The Slytherins immediately cheered in delight and were screaming in immense joy. Draco, as the Quidditch Captain of the Slytherin Team, beamed as he soared to the Gryffindor stands, which astonished the Gryffindors and kissed Hermione, who was somewhat astounded but had regained her composure.
Most of the Slytherins' (and Gryffindors') jaws had dropped in shock at the sight of them. Theo and I, however, was somewhat blasé.
However, another surprise awaited us as Potter had stood up and ambled up to Ginny, who seemed saddened by the loss, but still plastered a small smile on her face at the sight of her best friend kissing Draco. She seemed unfazed at the presence of Potter for a moment or two, before she snapped back to reality and was utterly astonished.
"Harry..Harry! How are you here?" she questioned, her mouth agape.
He abruptly dropped to one knee and answered with a ring box in his hand.
"Gin, I know you are somewhat saddened by the loss. However, losing a game is temporary; your spirit to win is permanent. For the past year or two, I've never known what to do-all until you entered my life. That was when I finally began to see clarity in my past, present and future. I really cannot explain with words how much you have healed me, with your radiating smile to your presence. I love you for all you've done. " Ginny sniffled before he added. "So without anymore further explanation, Gin, will you be my wife forevermore?"
"Yes Harry! Yes!" she answered before she hugged him tightly.
Everyone, even I, was brimming with astonishment but happiness for the couple as they hugged each other. How I wish I could do that, too, someday to Luna.
I had fancied her since Fifth Year, but never really knew what to say.
However, all I could say, was that I had a new perspective of Potter, although he still was a bloody git. I had to say, I never thought I, one day, would have deeply understood Potter.
As the others began to exit, I saw Hermione, who rushed out, her cheeks flushed.
With the Slytherin Team's win, which meant Draco was going to be gleeful that day so she surely was going to be having a great time for the day...
