Shivaay casually leaned against the steel lockers, pretending to scroll through his phone but actually keeping an eye out on the hallway. Lectures for the day were over and she should be here any minute, but so far there was no sign of her. He strained his neck slightly to take a better look.

"Bhaiya?"

Shivaay snapped out of his thoughts and straightened himself as he heard his sister's voice. Usually Priyanka and she would appear together, but right now only Priyanka was here.

"Hey," Shivaay replied. Priyanka looked at her dazed brother with a frown, before moving past him to get to the gates. Shivaay followed her, albeit with slow steps to get a glimpse of her before going home. He almost thought of asking Priyanka where she was, before his sister decided to relieve him of the trouble herself.

"Annika is in the library to study for this quiz tomorrow. Apparently she gets distracted at home so she'll only leave once she's done studying."

As Priyanka kept rambling, Shivaay stopped in his tracks. Priyanka turned to look at him quizzically.

"Actually," Shivaay said, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly, "I just remembered I have to get this book from the library for this, uh, research I'm doing. Why don't you go ahead? I'll come home later."

"Are you sure?" Priyanka asked. Shivaay nodded.

"Positive," He grinned, clutching the bag that was slung over his shoulder tighter and making a run for the library. His crush- who was slowly becoming so much more than that- was there alone, and what better chance would he get to spend some time with her, right?
