mama (sarawattine)

CEO Sarawat Guntithanon is the CEO of a well-known company and a single father of a bubbly boy named Bright. He adopted the boy after he came out of the closet, to which, his parents accepted him wholeheartedly.

After the four-year-old Bright started going to kindergarten, he had always talked about a certain Mama at home— "Mama did this" and "Mama did that" would be the daily topic of discussion among Bright and his family.

Time passes like winds and breezes, crawling away slowly, and it's already been a year since Sarawat has heard about Bright's Mama, who keeps the child happy. Sarawat too grew curious of who Bright's Mama was— especially when the child kept describing with all the adjectives he knew.

Sarawat finally decides to visit Bright's Kindergarten school and thank his Mama for always taking care of him. That's the most Sarawat could do, keeping in mind his sexual orientation. He knew that he can't fulfill Bright's wish to make his Mama his real mother.

He stopped his black SUV in front of the kindergarten and walked into the school in brisk steps. He didn't know where should he go to meet the person, so he made his way towards the Principal's room first.

He stood frozen on the spot on finding a very pretty man with the Principal outside her office. He has seen the Principal once when he took Bright here for admission. But the rest of the staff and employees were completely unknown to him.

"Ah, Mr. Guntithanon!"

Sarawat's trance broke at the voice. He grew rosy in finding the pretty man and the Principal looking at him.

Shit. Shit. Shit. Shit.

He should have gone home and freshened up instead of wearing his white shirt, with rolled-up sleeves and loosened tie. Shit!

He was so engrossed in his final checking, he didn't notice them walking towards him.

"Mrs. Roswell, hello!" Luckily he's good at pulling his shit together on time.

"Why, hello! Mr. Guntithanon is here for Bright, is it?" She asked.

"No no. I am here to meet, um, the person Bright calls his Mama", Sarawat blushed a bit after saying the last words. He found the pretty man tittering.

He's so beautiful.

Mrs. Roswell chuckled as well, "right timing! Here, meet Bright's class teacher, Mr. Tine Teepakorn, aka, Bright's Mama."

Flabbergasted, Bright widened his own eyes. Bright said his mama is very pretty rang in his ears. He was so right!

"Good morning, Mr. Guntithanon", Tine greeted as he extended his hands for a handshake, with a soft blush dusting on his cheeks.

Sarawat gladly accepted it, clasping the soft hands with his big and rough ones. It felt so perfect. The touch shoots electricity down his spine.

Damn. Those taunting plump lips which were so beautifully stretched into a winsome smile and the eyes that went crescent, tugged his heartstrings just like he had felt when he saw Bright before.

"Nice to meet you, Mr. Teepakorn", Sarawat returned the greetings not looking away from Tine's eyes. They were like pulling him in deep, deep down— drowning him in that forbidden Elixir which will make him feel the pleasures of surreal existence. The sparkling eyes were indeed holding the mysteries of his universes — he had never been this curious to know them.

"Mr. Teepakorn", Sarawat began, clearing his throat, "my son speaks highly of you. I am so grateful to you for taking care of him".

"No no, Mr. Guntithanon", he shook his head, his cheeks growing rosy, "the pleasure is all mine. He's a lovely kid", Tine smiled.

"Why don't you wait here for a few moments, Mr. Guntithanon?" Mrs. Roswell entered the conversation, much to Sarawat's disappointment, "Bright's classes are going to end soon", she laughs and excuses herself.

Sarawat and Tine soon found themselves in awkward silence and before Tine could say something, the bell rings and a swarm of students gushes out of the class.

"Dad! Dad!" Bright rushed towards him shortly after.

"Hey, buddy", Sarawat squatted down to face his happy son.

"Someone said you were here! I didn't believe it and ran out faster! Are you taking me home today?" Bright grinned hopping.

"Exactly!" Sarawat grinned, ruffling his hair.

Bright turned out to face Tine, before turning back to his father, "Dad did you meet my Mama? Isn't he the prettiest person on earth? Isn't he? Isn't he? Isn't he?" He kept on hopping.

"What about me? Am I not pretty?" Sarawat fake pouted, making Tine laugh.

"You're handsome, dad, but Mama is the prettiest of all!" Bright raised both of his hands, stumbling a bit, "Tell me, isn't he the most prettiest?"

"Ah, yes yes! He's absolutely the prettiest person", Sarawat felt butterflies on confessing the words. He looked at Tine to finding him giggling at the conversation.

He's too cute. If they were husband's now he'd have kissed him till he drops.

Shit, Sarawat! You just met him!

Sarawat blushed at the thoughts. They waved goodbye and made their way to the car.

After meeting the prettiest man in the world, there wasn't a day Sarawat wouldn't come fetch his son from school. Fetching Bright is equal to talking and seeing Tine, which was the best thing. Sarawat soon got to know Tine love Scrubb band and Blue Hawaii and was completely single living with his pet bunny in an apartment near the kindergarten.

His mind revolved around meeting Tine so much that he would sometimes space out during his official meetings.

Today however was a very odd day. Sarawat was very late to fetch Bright because he had back-to-back meetings with the international company owners, however, he knew Bright would be with his mama and will be safe and happy.

The moment Sarawat entered the kindergarten, he was soon pulled towards the staffroom by a pair of hands.

"He. He is my husband, did you understand?" It was Tine.

"Tine", he whispered, watching a sissy man scrutinizing Sarawat and Tine.

"Please play along. I'll explain everything to you later", Tine whispered back.

"You are lying", the man spoke, "you're doing this to test my love, aren't you?"

"I am not Green, I am so very serious! This is my husband!" Tine said crossly.

"That's right. We are married", Sarawat announced, ignoring the butterflies in his stomach. He quickly wrapped an arm around Tine's tiny waist and pulls him closer to his body.

Tine swears he has never felt this safe in his life. He feels an odd sense of belonging.

Green looked hurt. He quickly covers his emotions and stamps his feet, "I don't believe you!" He walks out.

"What was that?" Sarawat asked, letting a blushing Tine go.

"He's hitting on me", Tine mumbled, "but I don't want to be hit on".

"Why?" Sarawat couldn't help but ask, "because you're straight?"

"No", he chuckled, "I am a bi. I just don't like him".

"Oh", Sarawat felt a dual surge of emotions—happiness and sadness. Happiness for Tine might like him and Sadness for Tine might not like him just like Green.

"Ah! Bright is asleep in my office. He was playing with his plushies until evening", Tine let him know with a smile taking him into the empty staff room.

There Bright was clutching his starfish plushie and sleeping like an angel. Sarawat cooed at the sight, he felt the tiredness from his works leaving him.

"It's already evening", Sarawat began, "let me drop you home, Tine".

"No, no, it's fine! I can call a cab", Tine answered looking at the CEO, who was folding up his sleeves to pick up his son.

"I insist. Please", Sarawat added.

Tine didn't have any choice but accepted it. He quickly organized his bag and joined Sarawat and Bright in the car.

"Let me hold Brightie", Tine took Bright and got in the passenger's seat.

Sarawat's heart was bloated with a fuzzy feeling. He wanted to be a bit selfish for the first time— he wanted to have a family, a lovely husband. After meeting Tine he had been fantasizing about Family days. How perfect he, Bright, and Tine would look like a family!

He must court him. He has to step up or lose the chance forever.

"Here", he gave him his phone attached with the car audio, "play any song you like".

Tine, who had just finished giving Sarawat his address, looked at Sarawat with a sparkle in his eyes, "Thank you, Sarawat".

The CEO jumped on the insides in glee while nodding with a smile on the outside.

"Tine", Sarawat said, when he stopped his car in front of Tine's apartment, "I like you".

Tine stopped in his movements and looked at Sarawat while his heart beated out like drums.

"I want to marry you", Sarawat continued, "I know it's too soon, it's just a month ago we met, but I have feelings for you Tine."

"But— marriage is a long term commitment", Tine mumbled, "I know you want to do this for Bright, but— but I don't think he'll like having a substitute for his mother"

"He never had a mother, Tine. I have adopted him as a single father. You're the only one whom he calls Mama ", Sarawat answered a bit desperately.

"Really?" Tine asked. A relief washing over him. The man he likes is completely single.

"Yes, Tine. I know it's awkward for us to be together on such short notice but... Can we start by dating?" Sarawat asked, shyly, drawing patterns on the steering wheel.

Tine couldn't believe it. He was so ready to be with Sarawat since the very first day.

"But what if you just like me because we don't know each other enough? What if you'll leave me once we start knowing each other?" Tine asked.

"I am sure I won't leave you ever. I trust my son's preference. We both like you and admire you. Let's try dating if that doesn't work I wouldn't force you", Sarawat looked at him with determination.

Tine let out a breath, contemplating whether it'll be a good idea or not, "alright. Let's try dating", he answered.

Sarawat was shocked beyond comparison. He grinned in happiness radiating a happy aura that made Tine blush and smile.

Tine immediately put his lips on Sarawat. The latter immediately froze. It was a small and chaste kiss. Before Sarawat could respond, Tine pulled away walking out, and putting Bright, on the passenger's seat.

Sarawat came out of his trance when Tine handed him a piece of paper, "Call me sometimes. I would love to talk with you two". With that, he walked into the apartment.

After a few moments of replaying the kiss scene, Sarawat grinned like an idiot and put his head on the steering wheel. He looked towards his son, "you're gonna have your mommy and I am going to have a wifey soon".
