date (sarawattine)

Sarawat suddenly stopped the ignition of his uncle's truck. Tine, who sitting and almost dozing off on the passenger's seat, jolted up and looked around to see if Wat's promised McDonald's was there already. He looked around aimlessly before looking back at Sarawat with a confused looked.

"Where's McDonald's? Why did you bring me to a cliff?" Tine enquired then gasped audibly, "Don't tell me you want to murder me!?"

Sarawat looked at him with an 'are-you- serious' look, "You seriously didn't just ask that?"

"Why did you bring me here then? I thought we were about to have our date", Tine furrowed his eyebrows again.

"We are having our date", he opened the door and jumped out, "Come out, Tine".

"Why? Didn't you say McDonald's? Where's that? It's not there!" Tine looked around like a lost puppy.

"I want to show you something first", Wat chuckled at his adorable boyfriend.

"What?"

"Come out first", He closed the door he was holding and went to open the door for Tine.

Once the latter was out, he was greeted with the cool salty breeze, announcing the existence of the sea down the cliff.

"You aren't going to murder me, are you?" Tine joked again.

"Come on, bunny. Stop joking", Wat groaned.

Tine giggled in response.

"Come with me", he clasped Tine's soft palm in his and pulled him towards the edge, stopping at a safe distance from the edge.

Tine looked down only to go pale and tightening his grip on his boyfriend's hand.
Sarawat immediately knew Tine was still afraid of heights.

"This is where I, Man, and Boss used to do cliff jumping on summer holidays! I want to try this with you today. What do you say, baby?" He looked back, trying to sound calm. His main motive was to remove the fear from Tine and let him get a taste of his favourite sport and he knew the only way to achieve that was to let him face his fears.

He knew Tine will never say no to him directly, but those subtle gestures like squeezing his hands, fluttering eyelids, and fidgeting demeanor would clearly give off the signs of his discomfort.

"I-", he swallowed a lump, "Wat, I don't feel well. Let's do it some other day, yeah?"

Sarawat clasped his boyfriend's hands even tighter, "It'll be fine. Don't worry".

"No-o I mean... I-"

"Do you trust me?", He asked now looking squarely in his eyes. Tine nodded his head hesitantly," I do."

"Then trust me when I say it'll be fine", Sarawat gave the most gentle smile he can conjure up, making Tine's heart flutter.

"But-" Tine was stopped on the midway as Sarawat put a finger on his lips. This gesture made some fuzzy sensations erupt in his stomach.

They started to date only a few days ago and he was here becoming a blushing mess, wanting to disappear in thin air.

"It'll be alright", Sarawat murmured. Tine nodded hesitantly, fluttering his eyelashes several times.

•••

Tine's fingers shook as he changed into a red swimming trunk and walked out, shivering. He was scared.

He remembered the times he passed out because of the fear of heights. One part of his heart believes that it was going to be alright, probably because Sarawat was there and another part was screaming to go back to his home back under the blanket and hide there for the rest of his life.

Sarawat was already standing there, half-naked cracking his knuckles, jogging, and warming up. Tine was glad that he wore his old white T-shirt or else he might have exploded in shame.

Tine tried his level best not to look at his toned abs but failed eventually. He gaped at them, blushing.

"You're there!" Sarawat's voice made Tine shoot up his gaze towards him. He blushed, even more, when he found he was caught staring.

"It's okay to stare, you know? I am all yours after all", Sarawat added with a chuckle.

Tine huffed, pinching the bridge of his nose to hide his red cheeks, "Shut up, Saraleo!"

"Come here. Are you ready?" The question from the latter made Tine's stomach do horrible movements. He felt like he's going to puke any moment.

Sensing Tine's discomfort, Sarawat rubbed his cheeks delicately, "Hey, hey. Look at me, okay? It'll be fine. Hm?" He clasped Tine's shoulder facing his back to the sea.

"We'll go together for the first time, okay?" Sarawat answered.

Fear pooled in his stomach, making him sob, "I- I can't. Sarawat please..."

"What is it? It's okay! Trust me..." He cooed.

"I am afraid", tears splashed down messily down his cheeks. No matter how many times he was telling his heart about how it's going to be alright, he just can't stop the fear from taking control over his heart, "I am sorry..."

"It's fine, Tine. Look at me. Look at my eyes. Look", Sarawat cooed, trying hard not to panic at the exact moment.

Tine opened his puffy brown eyes meeting Sarawat's green ones. The softness and calmness in them spread warmth in him.

For Sarawat, an overwhelming feeling enveloped him as he saw his reflection in Tine's delicate and glassy brown ones. He was giddy to find that, right now at the moment, Tine's eyes were only focusing on him. Only on him. He felt like Tine was, as if, claiming him his in this way.

"Keep looking at me..." Sarawat whispered, cupping Tine's cheeks and rubbing circles on them, "... just like that..."Tine wrapped his hands on his shoulders, chanting a series of 'I believe in him's and 'it'll be alright's.

Before Tine could even process Sarawat's lips were on him and suddenly he was not standing on the ground.

He squeezed shut his eyes as his logical skills were shutting down one by one, because of the adrenaline rush or maybe because of Sarawat's lips on him or maybe both.

He couldn't hear but felt blood rushing in his ears and wind resistance on his back. He clutched his boyfriend even tightly.

With a splash, they collided with the water and Tine hugged closer to Sarawat, clinging in him for his dear life.

Sarawat lets go of his lips as he swims up of the sea with Tine hugging him like a leech.

"Tine, it's fine. We are out", He replied with a chuckle.

"We are?" Tine, who currently has stuck up his face on Sarawat's crook of the neck, asked. His voice came out muffled.

"Yes", he laughed again, "now come out. Come on".

"I can't", he whined.

"Why not?"

"My face is red", he mumbled very softly. So soft that if he weren't hugging Sarawat, he would've missed it.

Sarawat bit his lips as he resisted himself from letting out a burst of wild laughter and pulled Tine's face out to face him.

He is indeed very red.

That broke the dams and he let out a series of chuckles, "You're so adorable, Tua Woon Wai".

Tine slapped continuosly on his exposed chest, "That's your fault, Ai' Saraleo! You took away my first kiss!"

"That was our first kiss, baby!" He halted looked softly at Tine, stopping the latter from hitting him any further. He brushed away the strands of hair from his forehead, taking in the view of his favorite person.

"So, did you like it? Cliff jumping?" Sarawat asked, hesitantly. He mentally noted never to do this stupid sport if Tine still feels uncomfortable.

"It was, oddly, very good", he blushed, "I didn't feel so scared anymore, Wat." He smiled jutting out his bunny teeth.

"Should we try it again, then? Sarawat asked staring intensely at Tine's eyes and then his lips.

Tine's stomach somersaulted.

"Again?" He blushed.

"This time let's go individually, yeah?" Sarawat grinned.

"Wha-What?" Tine was dumbstruck, "Alone?"

"Or? Did you perhaps got an impression I'll do it together with you, again?" He smirked, fluttering his eyes.

"Shut up! I am hungry", he let go of Sarawat, pushing him in the water before swimming towards the shore.

"Hey wait! Once more, please! Tine!" Sarawat called, swimming after him.

"If you don't drive straight to McDonald's now, I'll break up with you", Tine said coldly before walking back to the car.

Sarawat laughed. Of course, he meant to do it together again and kiss him again in the process. But, hey? Teasing Tine is way more fun!

"Are you serious?" He asked popping up in the car changing his clothes.

"Of course!" Tine said from the back seat. His head popped up with a towel on it, "You have been such a nuisance today! I had enough trouble for a lifetime".

Sarawat chuckled for the umpteenth time today watching his ball of sunshine. The person who can make him laugh effortlessly.

I love you.

"To McDonald's then?" Sarawat asked after making sure that he and his boyfriend have seated themselves in the seats securely.

"Yes! Let's go!" He jumped subtly, glancing at the cliff the last time.
