Today the whole atmosphere felt gloomy to her as she walked towards her school, all by herself.

Usually it would be Yuvaan who would take her on his bike, but today the one message she received only made her realize how much the situation had changed.

'Kaeya, I'll be taking Miesha school today with me. Can you manage? Pretty please :('

And she just replied with a simple okay.

It pained her heart, she wouldn't lie. It crushed everything inside of hers to even think about Miesha and Yuvaan being in a relationship.

"Kiddo?" A distant voice was heard as she turned her head towards the source.

There, Yuvraj Shah, elder brother of Yuvaan by 5 years was directly looking at her with a frown as he was seated on the driver's seat of his car.

"Yes bhai?" She asked, walking towards him.

"Now why are you walking the whole way to the school? It's almost 5 KM and look at the weather. It could rain anytime." He questioned her, like a caring elder brother.

"Uhhh- actually-"

"Isn't it Yuvaan's responsibility? I swear if he has denied you for this, I am not going to leave him alone. I am sure it's about the reason you were crying yesterday. Is he taking that another girl only? What's her name-" Yuvraj gritted out.

"M-Miesha." Kaeya responded in a low voice.

"Yeah whatever. Kaeya don't tell-"

"Bhai let it be. What's wrong in walking? It'll only-"

"No Kaeya. There is everything wrong in walking alone on a road like this. Do you even see the traffic here? People drive so recklessly. And it's Mom and Dad who had given Yuvaan this responsibility which he should comply to. This boy will learn his lesson soon, don't worry about that. And now listen to me, I'll be dropping and picking you off daily till I am in this city. I have around 3-4 months break from college so, it'll not be a problem for us." Yuvraj said, nodding his head a little.

"Don't think I don't know what it is all about. He is mad enough to do this, but you are not going to bear this nonsense. It was the last time you were dependent on him for this pick and drop service because now you have me. So, don't even think to ask him about the same." Yuvraj said pointedly to her who he knew would melt soon as soon as Yuvaan would say some 2-3 good endearments.

Kaeya's lips slightly quivered knowing how much things have changed. Where Yuvaan and her would go to school together on his bike, laughing all alone and cracking jokes, now he had given that spot to Miesha with whom he would have romantic talks.

"Hop on kiddo. We don't want you to get late now, do we?" Yuvraaj said, gesturing towards the passenger seat of his car and she nodded, running towards the door and got inside.

She definitely needs to change her mindset now thay things have been changed immensely.

//////////

With the slowest of pace, she was walking towards her classroom that was at the very end of the corridor.

Other students gave her curious and weird glances since was walking alone, without her two bestfriends and that too with a sullen expression.

As she entered her class, her eyes searched for the two. And then her light brown orbs finally landed on them who were sitting on the same bench with Miesha giggling as Yuvaan tucked a strand of hair behind her ear.

They were at the end, the seat where Yuvaan and Kaeya had been sitting since forever. Miesha would usually sit with someone else, whoever she wanted.

He would not let anyone else even touch her seat. His one look would be enough for other students to not even think about this seat.

She quietly walked towards the benches, her hand clutching the bag whose strap was on her shoulder.

Before she could reach the last benches, her eyes met his as he grinned at his bestfriend.

"Hey Kaeya! What's up?" Yuvaan greeted with his usual charming smile.

No asking about how she reached till here or how she was about to cry because of the stray dogs that were barking at her. It was only because Yuvraj that she felt relieved.

"G-Good." Kaeya nodded as she forced a smile.

"I- I-" She weirdly gestured towards the seat where Miesha was already seated who hadn't glanced at her till now.

"Oh, can you please find another seat? Uhh- Miesha said we should sit together and spend as much time as possible." Yuvaan said, scratching the back of his neck.

"Oh." Was Kaeya's only response.

She was about to turn and walk to another seat when her voice stopped Kaeya.

"Kaeya! How are you? I literally forgot to call you yesterday. Yuvaan and I were so engrossed in the movie and after that he even went-"

"Uhh- that's enough Miesha. The class is about to start. Why don't you find a seat to sit, Kaeya?" Yuvaan cut Miesha off, before she could reveal any further.

Yuvaan knew even if once Kaeya gets to know about where he took Miesha, she would probably not talk to him for days.

"Congratulations guys." Was what she whispered.

And instantly turning on her heels to the opposite direction, she stormed off to another seat in the middle, beside a boy who she remembered was in her class since childhood.

"Hey, is everything okay?" He hesitantly questioned.

"I- I- y-yes." Kaeya nodded, blinking away her tears.

"Umm- I don't know if I am right or wrong, but would you like be my friend because it seems you need one right now." The guy said hesitantly.

"Of course. I'd like that." Kaeya nodded with a small smile.

"I am Tanishq."

"I know that already. You have always been my classmate." Kaeya laughed a little.

"Wow. You noticed, huh." Tanishq slightly blushed, scratching the back of his head.

Guess she wasn't really alone. Even if Miesha and Yuvaan had betrayed her or more like left her alone completely, she didn't mind that now.

//////////

The loud roars of thunder were heard as she ran towards the gate of their school, alone. Today, the bell had rung unexpectedly 5 minutes earlier and she knew she had to wait for Yuvraj to arrive here.

She was just hoping that the rain should not start pouring anytime soon.

And all of a sudden a loud yell stopped her.

"Kaeya! Wait a minute dude."

It was Yuvaan who was running towards her with the fastest of speed and soon stood just in front of her with no such gap. She was used to them being close. But suddenly, today this closeness felt weird. She wanted to take two steps back but she just didn't.

"Yes?" She questioned, lifting her head due to the height difference.

His hair were toppled messily like usual because of his habit of running his hand through them every now and then.

"Where were you the whole day? We basically didn't even talk Kaeya." He breathed out.

Shouldn't this be that we didn't talk the whole day because Yuvaan ignored Kaeya everytime she approached him as he was having some cringy romance with Miesha?

"You seemed busy the whole time." Kaeya simply responded while shrugging.

To this, Yuvaan gave her an embarrassing look because he knew what she'd said was absolutely true. He wanted not to make this fact very obvious, but Kaeya had always been quick witted.

It never takes her long to realize things around her.

"Uhh- sorry for that."

He said but didn't genuinely look. Although, Kaeya being Kaeya nodded her head in return.

"How about we go to our spot today?" He asked, raising his eyebrows suggestively.

"Why?" She questioned in return.

"What why? It'll be us as usual. Spending time there and having our talks." He shrugged.

Okay? What could be wrong in this? They spend most of the day together and now that he has a girlfriend, they could atleast spend some of it now.

They really needed to talk and right now there was no problem in denying or any reason that she should.

"Okay. What time?" She questioned.

"Around 6. I will directly come from Miesha's house so you reach there on time." He responded with a distant smile.

He's probably thinking about Miesha, his girlfriend.

"Hmm." She nodded.

And the very next moment it was a loud thunder in the vast sky and soon the big, heavy water droplets started to fall.

"Babe, look it has started to rain. We should go." Miesha said, appearing out of nowhere.

Babe. Wow

Miesha gave a smug look to Kaeya, now wrapping her arms around Yuvaan's biceps, clinging onto him.

Kaeya realized that she actually has never been their bestfriend. It was all a facade. She was right from the beginning not to trust her, but on the persistence of Yuvaan, she did. And now she was regretting that badly.

"Yes, sure. Kaeya, why don't you wait for me here only till I drop Miesha? After that I will drop you too since it's raining." Yuvaan suggested and it took every bit of Kaeya not to cry.

His priorities were changed drastically.

He was basically ready to make Kaeya wait in the rain, knowing how sensitive she is to cold weather just to drop Miesha first? The girl who is his girlfriend of a day?

She wanted to scream at him for even suggesting this.

"No thanks. I don't need you to drop me." Kaeya gritted out.

"But-"

The sound of honks of a car reached up her ears and she grinned, noticing her Yuvraj bhai who had arrived for her.

"My ride is here. Meet you later Yuvaan." She waved, only at him and ran to his car, now getting inside in a flash so she wouldn't get wet.

And all the while Yuvaan's kept looking at her retreating figure with his mouth dropped open.

What is wrong with her?

Why is she behaving like this?

And why is Yuvraj Bhai picking her?

//////////

With the biggest of grin, she was walking towards their spot, clutching her mobile in her hands.

Like usual, she took one small jump, then walked two steps and then jumped on other side, giggling to herself.

The weather that was appearing gloomy to her in the morning now seemed so vibrant and enjoyable, just at the thought of meeting Yuvaan at their spot and have some bestfriends time.

She'd even decided to walk there instead of taking a ride from Yuvraj.

The members of her house didn't bother about her whereabouts. They never did and she took every benefit of it instead of weeping in one corner. Those were some old, long gone days.

A sudden ping of her phone made her halt in her steps and she instantly switched it on.

It was a message from Yuvaan and opened it with a big grin.

'I am really sorry Kaeya, but I can't come at our spot today. There's a medical emergency in Miesha's family and I need to be present here. Can we please shift this for some other time?'

Was what it read and a wavered breath came out of breath.

Did he really cancel their plan for his girlfriend of one day?

But he said it wad a medical emergency. There must be definitely something wrong why he said this. He wouldn't cancel this for nothing now, would he? She said to herself, trying to calm down.

And then all of a sudden the notification appeared on her screen that read, Yuvi calling.

She instantly picked the call up, now placing her phone on the ear.

"Hey Kaeya. Look I am really sorry but I can't help it. I surely would've come if-"

"It's fine Yuvaan. I understand." She sighed, swinging her leg a little on the road.

"No, it's not. I promised you thay we'll go there and now we aren't. I feel bad." Yuvaan too sighed from the other end making her smile a little.

Damn, he's sad too.

"No worries Yuvi. We'll definitely go some other day. It's not like the place is running anywhere." She laughed, but there was none from the other side.

"But-"

"Babe, come fast. You're literally missing the movie's climax."

Kaeya heard a second voice as Yuvaan stopped himself from saying any further.

"Shh. I am coming. Don't speak anything."

She swears, she heard him whisper and a painful breath came out of her mouth.

"Kaeya-"

And he had again stopped as his voice wasn't heard anymore. The only sounds that were now heard was as if they were kissing.

She could clearly make out that they were definitely doing something on the other end and it made her clutch the phone tightly in her hands.

She didn't even feel the pain.

And before a tear could escape her beautiful eyes, his voice was heard again.

"Kaeya, there's some problem here. I'll call you later." Were his last words in a hurried manner before he hung up on her.

A painful smile formed on her face and tears instantly glistened in her eyes that were pleading to escape.

She knew she had to control.

But only she knows how difficult it was for her to even think about the fact how Yuvaan was plainly lying to her.

Didn't he think twice before doing that?

Doing that to someone he had promised never lie to?

Wiping her tears with the back of her palm, she quickly composed herself because of the looks she was receiving from people on the road.

Now that she'd already covered more than half of the journey, she decided to atleast pay a visit to their spot so she could relax and observe the things going around these days.

She could definitely use some serene vibes that she always found there.

And with that she continued walking.

//////////

There were very distant hushed voices, laughter and giggles, sound of water flowing as she's used to and she doesn't know why, but her heart had started beating so loudly as she neared towards the spot.

Their spot was a small hidden garden in a garden itself, surrounded by huge, lush green trees that almost made it impossible for anyone to enter there. And people didn't even prefer going towards the old part of that not so famous park. But for these two bestfriends, it had it's own beauty and essence. Specifically the old fountain that was still running, a few meters away from them and more on the outer side.

It was small, no doubt but she would feel ecstatic to breathe in the fresh air.

She tried entering through the small passage that she'd discovered that was hard for hers and his figure but they would manage.

And as she was about to enter completely by taking the last step inside, her eyes found the two who were sitting very closely to each other.

They were Miesha and Yuvaan.

The ones who had a family medical emergency.

Yuvaan who said he wouldn't be able to come here today.

Who does he think he was lying to?

Placing his hand on her waist, he pulled her closer and in return, Miesha placed her head on his shoulder. No doubt they looked perfect.

And no doubt this made her feel that she was no pretty. For him, Miesha was more beautiful and she actually was.

Her insecurities had started to kick in.

Wasn't he the one who made her forcefully promise that the two of them will never tell anyone else about this place? This place because it was their spot. Only theirs.

"Babe, will you please ask Kaeya not to call you Yuvi? You're my boyfriend and I should call you that, not her." Miesha said all of a sudden making her head snap towards them again with a bewildered look.

Why was she being dragged into their conversation?

"But Miesha-"

"Please babe. Won't you do that for me? You know I don't like that and never did before too." Miesha whined, trying her best to make him agree to this foolish request.

"Okay." He simply responded with a sigh.

And that was all it took for tears to cloud her vision, threatening to spill out anytime soon.

She wanted to move her gaze away from them who were chuckling as if they were having the best time of their life, but she just couldn't.

A loud sniffle came out of her and the two's head snapped towards her.

Yuvaan was flabbergasted seeing Kaeya here. It was evident with his shocked face.

And that immediately turned into a guilty one and Miesha gave her a smug smile.

"Kaeya!" Yuvaan whispered, getting up from his spot he was seated on.

By now, Kaeya had entered completely, now still standing at a good distance from them.

As Yuvaan tried to get closer to her, Kaeya showed him her palm, stopping him right there.

"Don't." She gritted out with difficulty.

She even felt hard to breathe, even wondering about what happened just now. What happened today morning or what happened yesterday. She wanted to believe as if this was all a dream, but it wasn't.

"You are unbelievable Yuvaan Shah. You-"

She couldn't continue when he cut her off.

"Kaeya, I swear this wasn't intentional. Miesha was feeling sad and that's why I bought her here so she could feel good." Yuvaan tried reasoning, but she wasn't having any of it.

"Don't you dare lie to me!" She yelled pointing an accusing finger towards him.

"Don't think that I don't know about your lies Yuvi- oh sorry, Yuvaan." She said and he shook his head instantly but before he could stop her, she continued.

"I know there's no medical emergency in her family! I also know that you two were watching movie when you texted me saying how you wouldn't be able to come here, to spend time with me. I know you weren't having enough of spending time with her that you decided to bring her to OUR SPOT! Our bloody spot!" She continued shouting at him.

"Weren't you the one saying that neither of us will tell anyone about this? Never. This was our thing. And yet your broke the promise." She accused him with a disappointed face.

"Make it clear Yuvaan Shah that your priorities have changed and you wouldn't be able to give any of your time to me. I am not a ball that you'll keep bouncing in your hands or throw whenever you want. I too have feelings and I too have emotions!" She yelled the very last part.

"What do you think of yourself to even lie to me? Who do you think you are? You think I am this desperate to spend some time for you? You're not that cool, let me tell you. That new friend of mine, Tanishq is way better than you. I realized this in a single day. Atleast he doesn't lie." She glared, jabbing her finger at his chest at every sentence.

Yuvaan glared at her listening to ger say all this.

"What the hell? I am your bestfriend Kaeya. We 3 are bestfriends first. There's no Tanishq for you!" He shouted, losing his calm.

"We 3 are bestfriends? You must be delusional if you think that I still believe this shit. And there's definitely a Tanishq for me. He atleast doesn't betrays or fill me with lies." Words rolled off her tongue effortlessly making him clench his jaw in return.

She could only care less at this.

No matter tears were gathering in her eyes, begging to escape, her posture looked so strong and confident and she knows how badly she was controlling from sobbing.

It felt like her innocent and pure heart couldn't deal with this.

And giving the two one last glare, she stormed off not their spot now, walking back to her home or more like running as tears flew out of her pretty eyes.

○How was the chapter?

○Why do you think Yuvaan is doing all of this? What could be the reason behind it or is it simply that Yuvaan is madly in love with Miesha?
