Captain sat at the large table, looking around it. No one else sat with him.
He was completely and utterly alone.
The room was deathly silent and lonely.

He looked at the dish infront of him, it was wide and tall.
Its round, made of chocolate and had written on the top 'happy birthday' on it.

It was his birthday cake.
It was Captains birthday and he sat alone.

It was rather sad.

He had sent out invitations and no one had arrived.
The candle on the middle had started to die out, he had waited for hours for someone.
Anyone to attend.

But no one came.

He looked down at his cake, he wore a sad expression and was about ready to get up when-

CRASH

The front door swong open and several people ran in.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY CAPTAIN!" They shouted as they entered.

several fans ran in, holding gifts and presents.

"We're sorry we're late."

"What the?! I didnt invite any of you"

Captain said bamboozled at the people that sort of broke into his house.
Actually they did break into his house.

"We're Mr cheeses neighbors! We found an invitation to your brithday in their trash can outside.
We just HAD to come!"

"What? I dont know you people"

"Does that matter? We're here to celebrate your birthday!... And it looks like no one else is here.
Thats strange..."

"Im sure they're late im j-"

"Its 8 pm at night..."

"Oh... Yeah..." Captain said remembering that.

"Do you want to open your presents?"

"Wait, you were serious about that?"

"What? You thought we weren't? Here"
One of them tossed Captain a box wrapped nicely.

Captain still in a stupor stared at the box, he considered calling the police but shut that idea down as this wasn't all that bad.

He slowly opened it, tearing the wrapping paper and pulling out its lids.

"A snake care set." He said as he recognised the brand name.

"We googled your name and found your facebook profile, it said you had a pet snake Charlie. We thought this would be a nice thing."

"It... It is."

"Oh and theres more!" The other one finally said and handed Captain a... Cage?
Wait. A cage?!

"Hssss"
the cage hissed in responce. Inside of it lay a-

"Oh my g-"

"WE GOT YOU A SNAKE! The pet store said its name was rock. But you can name it whatever you want."

"I- why? You people dont know me."

The fans looked amongst eachother.

"Well that aint all that true. We've seen you on the tele and saw your interview."

"That was 2 years ago."

"..uhh. So...?"

"I-"

"Lets cut the cake! Your melted candle is gonna ruin it"

"O-oh yeah my cake."

"Happy" the first fan said.

"Birth" the one behind continued.

"Day" the third memeber said, more singing than anything.

"Toooooo." The last one said stretching out the word.

"Y o u !" they all said together.

Captain still didn't know who these intruders were but that didn't bother him as much as it did a minute ago.

This made him question his choice of friends. If 4 random strangers were willing to do this but his friends weren't bothered to come at all.

That may... Be a red flag.

He looked up at the 4 intruders.
They all looked like they genuinely wanted to be here.
And that made him feel better.

The room wasnt as dead silent or lonely anymore.
And that was nice.

They are still intruders though.
