Sasha and Bayley had just landed in California.

"How you feeling? Do you have a headache?"

"Sasha I'm fine, that's all you've asked the whole plane ride. Just, relax" Bayley tells Sasha calmly.

"I'm sorry, I just want to make sure you are ok"

"I know, but all I want right now is some food. The food on the plane wasn't that good"

"Ok, once we get our stuff settled we can get some food ok?"

"Sounds good" Bayley says with a smile

Sasha and Bayley got their luggage and then got a car to take them to the hotel they are staying at. As they were heading into the hotel Sasha saw a sign with Bayley's picture on it.

"Hey Sash what's that?" Bayley asks as she then notices the picture

"It looks like they are a having a funeral for you tomorrow at 10am"

"Well I guess that's where we go" Bayley tells Sasha

"Are you sure? I mean showing up to your own funeral? The people who love you will believe they are seeing things"

"Well how else do I talk to them? How else can I get answers?"

"I can contact your mother, her name is on the sheet"

"My mom?" Bayley said with a smile

"Yep, it says here that her name is Katie"

"I don't know...I'm nervous. What if she hates me?"

"For losing your memory?"

"Can you try and talk to her and let me know what she says? I'm kinda tired and just want to sleep"

"Ok. But I thought you were hungry?"

"I'm more tired then hungry"

"Ok. Will you be ok here by yourself?"

"Yes, I will be fine. I'll just stay in the room until you come back then maybe we can go to the swimming pool?"

"Sounds like a plan" Sasha said with a smile

Sasha helped Bayley with their stuff to their room then gave Bayley's mom a call. Katie didn't answer her phone but luckily she owned a dinner that Sasha could go to.

Sasha said goodbye to Bayley as Bayley took a nap.

15 minutes later,

At the dinner, Sasha walked in to see a man with an apron on holding some coffee in his hand. His name tag said his name was Albert.

"Welcome to Katie's dinner, you may sit wherever you'd like" Albert told Sasha with a smile

"Thank you, but I'm actually here to see the owner of this place. I think her name is Katie Martinez"

"Of course, I'll go get her for you. Would you like anything else?"

"A cup of coffee would be nice, I've had a long day"

"As you wish" he said as he poured her a cup of coffee then went to find Katie who was in her office looking at pictures if Bayley.

"Katie?" Albert said as Katie looked up and out the pictures away.

"It's ok to show it you know. I miss her too you know, she was my best friend" Albert said with a small smile.

"Yeah, I just miss her so much and still wonder how this could happen to her"

"I know"

"So, um" Katie said as she wipes her tears away. "What did you need?"

"Oh, there's this girl asking for you"

"Ok, tell her I'll be out in a minute. I just want to get cleaned up so I don't look like a mess"

Albert went back out to the counter where Sasha was sitting and told her Katie will be out soon.

"So where you from?"

"How'd you know I didn't live here?"

"I know basically everybody here. And because you look jetlagged"

"I'm from Boston"

"Wow, all the way over there? What brings you here?"

"I um, I saw Bayley on the news and I just thought I'd check on Katie"

"Oh, so you know Katie? And Bayley?" Albert said the last part with a sadness in his voice.

"Yeah, Bayley is my--I mean was..my friend.."

"I heard someone asked for me?" Katie came out with a smile.

Sasha noticed how alike Bayley and her mother were in looks.

"This is one of Bayley's friends, um...?" Albert told Katie

"Sasha"

"Nice to meet you Sasha, I don't remember Bayley ever mentioning you"

"Oh, well I live in Boston and the only time Bayley and I really saw each other was when I came to visit some family" Sasha lied but tried to hide it.

Right when Katie was gonna say something, someone walked in and caught their attention. Katie smiles as she saw who it was.

"Alexa, good morning" Katie said with a smile

"Morning Mrs Martinez" Alexa said with a smile and gave her a hug

"Oh Lexi, when will you finally decide to call me Katie" Katie joked

"I'm sorry, just a habit I have with people" Alexa explained.

"Sasha, have you met Alexa?" Katie asked as Alexa looked over at Sasha curiously.

"Um, I don't think so" Sasha tells her.

"Nice to meet you Sasha" Alexa reached out her hand.

Sasha shook Alexa's hand with a polite smile.

"So how do you know Bayley's mom?" Sasha asked

"Well actually, Bayley was my girlfriend. Before she.." Alexa explained.

Hearing that Bayley has a girlfriend broke Sasha's heart but she knew she shouldn't be too shocked since she knew that was a possibility.

"Oh, wow. I'm sorry for your loss..." Sasha tells her with a sympathetic look.

"Thank you. And I'm sorry for yours too, you were a friend of hers right?"

"Yeah" Sasha says as she tries not to cry.

It got quiet as everyone thought about Bayley. Finally Sasha decided to break the silence.

"So, um..if you don't mind me asking. What happened to Bayley?" Sasha asked

"Police said she was shot multiple times. They didn't let us see her body though" Katie explained

"Well I'm sure you don't want to see her like that" Alexa told her as Albert nodded.

"I know, I just wish I could hold her in my arms one last time" Katie starts to cry again.

At this point Sasha was nearly about to breakdown to. Not just because of Bayley having a girlfriend but because of the fact that she knows Bayley is alive and won't tell them to take away their pain. Sasha had never felt more guilty in her life.

"She's always gonna be there right by your side. She can hug you, you may not see her or feel her but...she's there" Sasha tried to make Katie feel better.

It worked somewhat but Sasha knows it won't last forever. Sasha knew she had to get back to Bayley but she couldn't bring herself to leave Katie like this. Sasha decided to stay with Katie a little longer then she'll head back to Bayley.

Back at the hotel,

Bayley was at the hotel and had just woken up from a nap. She was hungry so she looked for some money and then went to the vending machines.

When Bayley got to the vending machines she saw a tall man with dark hair getting something to drink. Bayley all of a sudden felt sick to her stomach but didn't know why. She felt like she knew this man.

The man turns around to see Bayley's pale as a ghost. "Are you alright miss?" The man asked.

"Yeah, just a little tired" Bayley nervously laughs.

Bayley quickly walked back to her room but started running a little bit because that man gave off a bad vibe.

Once Bayley was in the room she locked it and decided to call Sasha.

At the vending machines, the mysterious man called his boss telling him that he saw Bayley.

Boss: Great job. I got this from here

At the dinner, Sasha had gotten a call from Bayley.

"I'm sorry, I got to take this" Sasha tells Katie.

"It's alright, I'll be fine" Katie tells her with a smile.

Sasha steps outside and answers the call.

"Hello?"

"Sasha! Where are you?" Bayley asked in a panic

"At your moms dinner. Are you ok? What's wrong Bay?" Sasha asked concerned.

"I just saw a man by the vending machines and he...I don't know he just gives off bad vibes. I don't feel comfortable can you come back? Please?" Bayley asks.

"Yeah, of course. I'll be there soon" Sasha tells her as they hang up.
