"WATCH IT," MYRIA HISSED as Varian checked her blaster wound for the fourth time within the two hours they had been in the cave. "I seriously doubt it's gotten infected in thirty minutes."

Varian merely rolled his eyes. "You say that sarcastically, but it's possible. Now hold still," He pressed more disinfectant into her skin until he was sure it was clean. "All done. I'll leave you alone for the rest of the night now."

"Thank god," Myria sighed with a laugh. She hit his head playfully as she sat up and stretched. "I need a break."

Cal watched as she walked towards the front of their small cave and leaned against the rock wall. She took a moment to finally reflect on what was going on. She had stayed out of the fight for so long and suddenly she was back in the fray. She wanted to tell herself she didn't know why she agreed to help Cal, but that would be a lie — she knew exactly why.

Whatever feelings she had had for him before her memory loss was still there, lying in wait — dormant. She ran a hand through her sweaty and greasy hair, sighing. "Credit for your thoughts?" Sage's voice startled her. "It's just me," She chuckled.

Myria sighed and shook her head. "I don't know..." She looked out at the cave, at the pale green crystals that cracked and fell into the water below them. "I just didn't expect to be here."

"In a cave?" Sage tilted her head with a smirk.

"You know what I mean," She sighed. "Freedom fighting. You know what happened the last time. Saw doesn't trust me, neither do most of his squad."

Sage sighed. "What happened...I'm sure it was horrible, but, that power you have? Cal can help you," Myria looked up. She assumed Sage hated Cal. "He's a Jedi, you're a Jedi. He can help you gain control and the next time you use it, you won't...you know..."

"I'm not a Jedi," Myria crossed her arms. "I just have the ability to use the Force. There's a difference." She clenched her jaw, turning away from Sage.

"Ria, look," Sage's shoulders slumped. "This is who you are, like it or not."

"It's not who I am!" Myria scoffed. "I don't know who I am. It's like there are two different versions of me — the one Cal knew, and the one Kashyyyk made. I might have the power from my old life, but it has no place in my new one."

"You're so stubborn," Sage grumbled and without another word, walked away. Myria didn't care. She knew why Sage was mad and it was for selfish reasons — Myria's power could help release the tight grasp the Empire had on Kashyyyk and she wasn't using it.

No one spoke for hours, not until the cave dimmed and torches flickered on, signifying night had fallen. Myria stayed by the entrance of their small cave, splashing her hands through the water every now and again. She smiled softly as she heard the pitter-patter of BD-1's feet. He cooed softly when he reached her and nuzzled into her side. "Hey, BD," She whispered, patting his head. BD was followed by heavier footsteps and soon Cal was sitting next to her. "Cal," She nodded.

"Myria," He returned the nod. "You seem a little tense."

"Do I?" She scoffed, turning to look at him. Her defensive exterior faltered as her eyes connected with his. "Sorry," She sighed, shaking her head and running a hand down her face. "I'm just a little...stressed."

Cal brushed it off with a chuckle. "I can tell. I understand. It must be so overwhelming learning about your past while your mother is missing and-" He stopped, noticing her face paling and a frown forming. "What I'm trying to say is...I'm here for you."

Myria felt her heart jump with excitement, though she didn't know why. "...thanks, Cal."

"No problem," He sighed and stood up, extending his hand for her to take. When their fingers touched, it was like electricity. Quickly, Myria pulled away, rubbing the back of her neck sheepishly. Cal coughed and dropped his head to hide his blush. "It's late. You should get some sleep. We have a long day ahead of us."

"Yeah..." Myria trailed off. "You should, too," They both stood in awkward silence until finally, Myria managed to pull herself away. She found a secluded corner behind a rock and rolled out her plush sleeping mat. It wasn't long before she dozed off, but once again her sleep was plagued with visions. But this one...it was different.

A young Myria stood with her arms behind her back, awaiting the return of her friend. She bounced anxiously on the balls of her feet. "Relax, my Padawan," Master Kenobi smiled down at the girl. "Young Cal and Master Topal will be arriving shortly."

"Sorry, Master," She bowed her head and did her best to stand still. Ahsoka giggled from next to her and Myria shot her a playful glare. Master Skywalker stood next to his Padawan, rolling his eyes with a small smile.

"At least act your age, Snips," He chortled.

Ahsoka rolled her eyes. "Whatever you say, Master," Her voice dripped with sarcasm.

It was Myria's turn to laugh. The girls could barely keep a straight face when in each other's company. A breeze blew her padawan braid softly as a Cal's ship landed. She was bursting with excitement as the young boy and his Master stepped off the ship and walked towards their greeting party. The Jedi Master's all bowed as they greeted each other. Cal smiled brightly at Myria. They bowed quickly. "Hi, Cal," She blushed.

"Hi, Myria," He blushed in return.

Master Kenobi's hand found its way to her shoulder. "Master Topal and I have some business to attend to. Why don't you show Cal some of the techniques we've been working on?" The young girl was completely oblivious to the sly smile on her Master's face. Sure — the Jedi Council forbid love, but who was he to deny one so strong?

Myria's face lit up. "Okay!" She bowed to Master Skywalker and Topal before grabbing Cal's hand and running off to her quarters. Locking the door behind them, she grabbed her lightsaber off of her belt and smirked. "Master Kenobi taught me this," She ignited the electric green blade, its glow emitting a soft light on the padawans. Cal's eye widened as she demonstrated precise blocking, dodging, and striking moves.

"That's amazing, Myria!" He gasped. "I'm not even close to doing any of that!"

Myria giggled and shut the blade off, the green light fading as it returned to the hilt. She shrugged as she placed the lightsaber back on her belt. "It's not that hard. I could teach you if you'd like?"

The young boy jumped with excitement. "Yes! Teach me!"

Myria admired his enthusiasm. For hours, they stayed locked up in her quarters, learning new moves and techniques. Myria had a blast — she hadn't seen Cal for weeks, almost two months — it was nice to spend time with him again. After six hours, the children grew tired and decided to take a break resting on the balcony, watching the busy plant of Coruscant. The breeze felt nice on their hot skin. Cal chuckled and leaned on the railing, eyeing the girl out of the corner of his eye. He smiled softly. "I missed you," He sighed.

Myria dropped her head to hide her blush and growing smile. "I missed you too, Cal," She looked up to meet his blue eyes. She watched him scan her face, an almost satisfied grin appeared on his face when he noticed her blush. "How has your training with Master Topal been?"

Cal shrugged, looking back out at the bustling city. "It's been okay," The smile on his face had dropped. "Nothing compared to you."

"Oh, Cal," Her eyes filled with sympathy as she stepped closer to him. She tentatively reached a hand out, slowly placing it on his shoulder. Cal looked up, surprised. "You don't really think that, do you?" She tilted her head and Cal's face turned red. He nodded slowly. Huffing, Myria pulled him into her arms, where she held him tightly. Cal, shocked, kept his hands away from her. Myria giggled. "Relax, dummy." She moved to place his hands on her torso, and the boy easily melted into the hug. "You are amazing. Don't tell yourself otherwise — ever. You will be the best of us. I know it."

Cal was overwhelmed with emotions — happiness, love, fear — tears softly fell down his cheeks as he snuggled into her shoulder. The two had never touched like this before, the Jedi code forbids it, but Myria knew Cal needed it and so did she, if she was being honest. "Thank you," He whispered. On the balcony they stayed, swaying in each other's arms until the four suns fully set.

Myria and Cal were the first to wake up. From opposite sides of the cave, their eyes met and both noticed the other was blushing. Myria cleared her throat and stood, smoothing out her clothes. BD-1 scurried over to her and happily chirped. Cal was right behind him. "He says good morning." He smiled softly.

"Oh," Slightly flustered, she looked down at the droid. "Good morning, BD," He beeped in response and scurried off, leaving Cal and Myria alone. Trying to preoccupy her mind, she rummaged through her bag, looking for something, though she didn't know what.

"What are you looking for?" Cal asked calmly.

Myria's shoulder's tensed. "I-" She struggled to think of something. "My...my lightsaber!" Immediately after saying it, she regretted it.

Cal chuckled lowly and Myria's stomach did summersaults. She inwardly scolded herself. "It's actually in my bag. Did you want to practice?"

Sighing, she slowly turned to face him. "I guess..."

"Great," He smiled and jogged over to his bag. He didn't even have to look as he easily grabbed the silver and black hilt. Once he was close enough, he tossed it to her. She caught it and raised a brow. "I'm sure once you start, you'll pick it back up. Like riding a speeder-bike."

Myria grimced. "Right, just like a speeder-bike," Cal led her to a secluded corner and pulled his lightsaber from off his belt. He ignited the blue blade and instructed Myria to do the same. She didn't expect it to feel so heavy once it was on. "This feels...wrong," She stared at in confusion.

Cal smiled sadly. "That's normal. I felt the same after I was forced to use it again, but your lightsaber is a part of you. We crafted it with our bare hands, went through a trial to get the crystal that powers it. It was made for you."

Myria looked at the blade closer — she could feel the heat radiating from it. "If you say so..."

Cal nodded. "Alright. Let's just start with some basic blocking moves. I'm sure you'll pick it up quickly," And he was right. Myria was shocked by how easy it felt to move the saber, its heaviness seeming to dissipate as soon as she started blocking. Cal smiled proudly. "Told you," He smirked.

Myria shook her head with a small smile. "Shut up," She pressed the activation switch once more and the blade slipped easily back into the hilt. Cal followed suit. She looked out of the cave and sighed. "We should wake Varian and Sage. We gotta keep moving,"

"Right," Cal nodded. But they didn't move. They stared at each other. Myria couldn't bring herself to look away, he was almost hypnotizing. "Myria..." He whispered.

"Yes?" She leaned forward.

Cal's breath hitched. His throat dried suddenly. "I- never mind," He shook his head and quickly turned away.

Myria tilted her head as she watched him leave. What just happened?
