Chapter 1: Waking Up
[Shu's POV]
We were waiting for (Y/N) to open her eyes. She had been unconscious for a few weeks now. Almost five torturous weeks. The doctors had informed us that she would wake up any time between today and tomorrow. Valt and his friends had to be here. Of course they needed to. And I had to be here too.
If only that car hadn't hit her, I thought. I grit my teeth. It wasn't even my fault. Yet why do I feel so guilty?
Suddenly her heart beat quickened. I looked up, alarmed. Rantaro stood up and ran to her side. Her eyes fluttered open. She took one look at Rantaro and tried to sit up, her arms shaking slightly.
[Your POV]
"Who are you?" I asked. The boys looked at me.
"I'm Rantaro... remember?" A tall blonde male said. I shook my head. It hurt like crazy. Looking around, I took notice of how weirdly they all looked at me. Almost self consciously I pulled the blankets closer to me.
There was a small blue haired boy with brown eyes, filled with worry probably. Although I wasn't sure why. I've never seen him before... I think. There was another boy, but with spiky black hair. A bandana wrapped around it. A dull red.
A white haired, red eyed boy, next to another blond and a raven haired boy with puppets. They all had the same worried filled eyes.
"(Y/N)? Don't you remember us?" The blue haired male asked. I shook my head slowly.
Who were they? What was going on?
I looked at the blue haired boy. A flicker of memory flashed through your mind.
"What's a... Valkyrie?" I muttered. My eyes widened. "Beyblades! I was with you!" I pointed at the white haired boy. "A... a car hit me. Where's... uh... what's her name? Empress..." I trailed off, unsure of what I was getting at
The white haired boy stood up and handed me a black beyblade. "Empress..." I whispered. I twirled it in my fingers. "Thank you...?" I looked up to him.
I wasn't sure what his name was. I only remembered vague images of his face. His scar. Which was covered by his bangs.
"Shu." He said quietly. He was biting his lower lip. "Thank you, Shu." I said. I looked at the others. "So who are you guys? And why are you here? Are we friends?" I said finally taking in my surroundings and situation.
A white hospital bed, white wall, white door, white... everything. It sent pain through my eyes and to my head. "I don't want to be here." I whispered to myself.
"Um.. well I'm Valt. Remember me?" The blue haired boy said. You looked into his chocolate eyes. You suddenly had another flash of memory.
"I lost? I lost something... something important" I said suddenly. There was a bright light. Something... small? A beyblade. I'm not sure. I closed my eyes and tried to remember. But as suddenly as it was there. It was gone. They looked at me with concern.
"Well this is Daina," the one with the skull beads and red bandanna, "That's Rantaro," the tall blonde, "Ken, " puppets, "and Wakiya." the one in purple.
I nodded. I looked at everyone and tried to remember something. Anything.
I looked at Wakiya for a second longer before staring at my beyblade. "Deathscyther... what's that? Another beyblade?" I said. I looked at... Shu. He looked more calm than the others.
Daina pulled out a purple and black beyblade and showed it to me. I suddenly felt a bit nostalgic. I remembered it, or at least my heart does. My mind can't catch up. A memory... I closed my eyes.
A scene with Daina. He looked determined. It was vague, not enough to tell me any information. There was a boy with black hair and green eyes. Just... standing there and looking. His eyebrows were furrowed, as if confused.
He was holding a broken beyblade. A bag of lollipops.
There was a shout of victory and Daina triumphantly held up Deathscyther. A bursted beyblade on the floor. My beyblade.
Deathscyther?
"I lost to you that day. The day with... a weird kid behind you." I muttered before looking up. They looked confused. However before they could say anything a man with black hair walked in. He was holding a clipboard.
"Awake? Do you feel okay?" He asked. I nodded. "What's the last thing you remember?" He asked me. "A... car. And someone yelling or... screaming." I said. "Maybe crying?" Shu blushed at that.
The doctor smiled a little. "What about before the accident?" I shook my head a little. "It's like i'm looking at someone else do the things I did. It's... like looking through a window. And it's all fuzzy."
"Ah... well that happens," he looked at the guys. "Don't worry, she will be discharged after a few tests." He chuckled a little at their saddened expressions. "Memories can be restored. All she needs is a bit of rest." he said giving them a small smile
I sighed. I really hoped so. There's something important I need to do. At least, I have a feeling that I do. I'm not sure what it is. I looked at the others. They still looked worried. And I finally let that set in.
