Walls of gray metal lit by the luminous lights above the four intruders as they made their way cautiously down the corridor. Chewie began removing small detonators from his satchel. It made Amilyn feel confident about what was going on. "How long have you known that pilot?" Han asked Amilyn.

"You mean Poe....as in Poe Dameron?"

"Yeah, that kid."

"Well me and him met right after the temple burned down....well at least formally. He was the one who had found me among the debris of all things. We later became inseparable friends after that. We learned lots through the resistance and usually went on missions together.....he's one rank lower than me....but why do you ask?"

"Because I wanted to make sure about your relationship with him. He's a good kid." Han explained why he had asked.

"So this is because you think I love him?" Amilyn asked her uncle who took a deep breath. She rolled her eyes in annoyance and walked ahead of them her gun ready.

"Amy! That's not why I asked. You and him have this bond I haven't seen....in forever! I asked him to promise me......that you would be kept safe if something bad happened to me or Chewie. Your friend seems responsible and good enough for your trust....your relationship with this Poe is truly a good friendship. I mean I think it's adorable how much you two hold each other hands for comfort....but it shows you two care for each other."

Amilyn felt as if something had slapped her in the face back into reality. Her and Poe.......have been friends for so long......why did she have this feeling? What would she have done if Poe had actually died? What was this feeling every time they touched...... she was hiding....like she was hiding something....that she had bottled up inside? Why did she care that much?

"That's.....very....thoughtful, thanks Han." Amilyn heard herself say. She had no idea to have even responded to that. If felt as if the words had come out of her almost forcefully. She faked a small smile and they kept walking down the endless corridors. Finn stopped them  midway before reaching an end of a corridor.

"We'll use the charges to blow the blast door." Finn gestured. "The holding cells for prisoners are down that corridor. I'll go in and draw fire, but it's often heavily guarded, depending on who's being held. I'm gonna need cover."

"You up for this?" Han asked Finn.

"Honestly, no. But this gamble is my call....so taking care if it is my responsibility. I'll find Rey." Finn said about to turn away from them. "I just hope she's still alive."

"Something tells me she is." Han spoke smiling looking out the window.  Amilyn and Finn turned to look out the window. And there Rey was, climbing up an interior shaft wall directly toward them. Finn gasped, Chewie roared a roar of relief to not use the explosives just yet, and Amilyn smiled and started walking faster to where Rey would meet up with them.

Rey turned a corner with a troopers gun in her hands. Amilyn, Finn, Han, and Chewie watched as she ran into them. Running to Amilyn and Finn she flung herself in their arms. They couldn't hug each other hard enough as pure joy swept them away. Their embrace over Rey finally separated with her looking at both of them.

"Are you alright? What happened?" Finn asked relieved.

"Did he hurt you?" Amilyn asked Rey meaning Kylo Ren.

"Never mind me," Rey finally said. "What are you doing here."

Finn smiled softly. "We came back for you."

"Also because we are attacking this base and we wanted you back." Amilyn fully explained. Rey obviously was looking for something to say. Chewie roared something by them that Rey did not quite catch. "What'd he say?"

"He said it was my idea." Rey smiled at Finn, "Amilyn.....I.....he tired to read..."

"Rey," Amilyn said putting her hand on Rey's shoulder, "We can talk about it after this battle. I think I know what you mean but.....out there......my best friend Poe is leading a squadron of fighters into the core of the base. I'm here risking my life for everybody....and I'm prepared if I do....have to confront Kylo Ren."

"Yeah." Rey nodded. Amilyn smiled and turned to Han who was completely done with this emotional reunion between the three. But really he was hiding he was happy on the inside like he usually did. 

"Yeah, we'll have a party afterwords. I'll bring a cake." Han  exaggerated.

"After this, it'll be at least 5 shots for both me and Poe like we usually do after a victory. I only would have cake if it was Jogan fruit cake."

"5 shots?" Han asked Amilyn.

"Well one isn't nearly as strong as ten." Amily explained. "And it wasn't like I was born this morning." Han smiled leading them down to the oscillators location.

(Hux POV)

"Power up the weapon." Hux ordered to a commander.

"Yes, sir." The commander answered flipping switches to begin the charging. Soon they would crush the resistance.

"Shields are down, Sir!" Cried a commander below deck of Hux. What? Who could've possibly bypassed or even switched off the shields by now? Who could've done it?

"Bring them back up!" Hux ordered the Commander,

"We can't sir! Troopers checked the room and it was cut severely by a lightsaber that wasn't REN's. We are defenseless with our those shields!" The commander exclaimed to Hux. Hux's face hardened in anger. The only likely person who could've done that would've been......

"Skywalker's daughter is here." Kylo Ren said standing by Hux. "It seems you've underestimated what she can do. She's brought the resistance to the base and has broken the shields....what do you think she'll do next?"

"She's just a girl!"

"If she's just a girl then you should've made sure she was dead." Ren reminded Hux. He hated when Kylo Ren was right. It was frustrating to have this......sith telling them what to do. Hux always wanted to be right, and didn't care if that made them selfish.

"Ren get down there with a pair of troopers. They'll attack the oscillator next! Get down now!" Hux ordered Ren who reluctantly followed the order. Hux watched as Ren disappeared with a squadron of troopers following behind her.

X-wings started coming down from the sky as the launched towards the base. They weren't stopping at anything. Reckless.......the resistance was reckless enough to....do this trouble. "Get Tie-Fighters. Out there! Now! Just get them in the air!"
