Chapter 11: The past isn't forgotten
*please listen to the forgotten by Green Day in this chapter. It'll all make sense when reading.*
"We just jumped into hyperspace from a hangar bay?" Finn asked. He looked at Amilyn impressed how she even how she pulled the stunt of doing that while being stuck in a hangar with a Rathtar's grip on the ship. "How'd you do it?" Rey was fixing an electrical overload before she entered the room.
"I was five when I learned how to fly this thing because Han was trying to direct some shooting and made me pilot us out of the under control situation as Han said it was."
"I had it under control." Chewie roared at him. "Yes, I did!"
"You can at least admit you didn't." Amilyn said teasingly to Han. He rolled his eyes, and she let out a small laugh. It brought back so many good memories. Ones that children could easily forget, but she always remembered every inch of what happens.
"How do you too know each other?" Finn asked.
"I'm Leia's niece. And I'm Han's niece." Amilyn, "So this son of a gun is my uncle." Han smiled at when she called him a son of a gun. The term suited him well though in others words.
"Wait! So you're related to them both? Wow! That must be a lot of history to have on your shoulders." Finn said
"It's not when you try not to focus on the people who made it. BB-8 show us the map." Amilyn told them. BB-8 beeped back at her and started loading what he had.
"How you doing Chewie?" Han asked Chewie. Chewie roared back his answer.
"He says you were hurting him during the process." Han said gesturing to Finn.
"What? He almost had me killed six times!" Finn said. Chewie roared angrily at Finn. "Which is fine." Finn leaned back against the small couch in the room. He accidentally flips on an old chess game. Finn struggles to turn it off flipping a t any switch on the table.
"So fugitives, Aye?"
"They're with the resistance....I'm just a scavenger" Rey told Han. Han looked at Finn very skeptically. Han did this in order to know that he could trust this man or women to help him when he got company. Amilyn looked at Finn knowing he obviously hadn't told Rey the truth about his intentions. He looked to BB-8 who was struggling to load the map.
BB-8 beeped happily meaning he got it functioning. "Let's see what you got!" Han said. BB-8 rolls forward and projects from him a map filled with dozens of stars.
"Woah." was all that came from Finns talkative mouth. Amilyn smiled as she saw the map. But Han interrupted the moment when he realized....
"This map isn't complete, it's just a piece of it. Ever since Luke disappeared everybody's been searching for him." Han explained to Finn and Rey. Amilyn held back her tears that seemed to form remembering what had happened.
"Why'd he leave?" Rey asked Han
"Amy." Han said to Amilyn, "I think it's better you told them. I mean you were the only one out of 3 to have survived that day." Amilyn nodded as she stared at Finn and Rey.
"He was training the next generation of Jedi for the world to be their protectors. I was one of those chosen people. But one boy.....an apprentice turned against everyone and Luke, and destroyed it all. Luke felt responsible it seems.....and he walked away from the world." Amilyn said emotions of sadness filling her.
"Do you know what happens to him?" Finn asked Amilyn.
"Do I know? There's rumors on where he went. He saved me, but then left me for dead for Leia to find me unconscious! He left me! He left me to die!" Amilyn said tears coming down from her face. "My own father left me to die as he watched everything he made sure to happen burn down as well as putting me through the same hell."
The memory burned. A moment trapped in time and feeling like a child that was left behind years ago. Being the forgotten and being left to die away like every student did. Scars and wounds that still were opened for people to hurt her. The thought of the reason behind him leaving made her more angry at him.
"Hey! Look at me Amy." Han "He didn't leave you for dead."
"How do you know? I couldn't save the boy who became Kylo Ren that night! I could've but I didn't." She said tears streaming down her face. Han pulled her into a hug as she continued to feel miserable and horrible about herself. How could he possibly know with a father like hers?
"I'm sorry what happened that night. Amy. It's not your fault though. It was the darkness that overcome the boy. You had nothing to do with it, you tried your hardest....that's all you could do." Han said comforting her,
"Luke's her father?" Rey asked.
"The night he left, his droid sent a signal out to Leia that something bad had happened. By the time she arrived the temples and huts were nothing but burnt rubble. She found Amilyn unconscious....I never knew what had happened..."
"Her lightsaber." Rey interrupted, "She told me that she took the crystal from the boys lightsaber while trying to stop him. Which created her second lightsaber."
"So the crystal called to you." Han asked Amilyn gently.
"Yes. I made sure he couldn't kill me, but the blast left us both unconscious...I..I never knew how the boy got away. But they probably presumed me dead. Amilyn said regaining control of her emotions. "Rumors spread why my father ran away from the world. But the one that seems most likely was he found a Jedi temple and locked the world out."
"But Luke's daughter was presumed dead..."
"7 years ago. When the temple burned down, I was presumably dead. Which helped me get away from Kylo Ren."
"YOU'VE BEEN ALIVE THIS WHOLE TIME?" Finn asked.
"Alive. And living with the guilt of the past." Amilyn said. Han let her out of his embrace. "Thanks Han. That helped." She had him there now....she needed someone there....she had needed anybody for so long to have at least tried to help her understand. That's what she always needed.
"It's alright. Just remember it was the darkness not you. And heck what you'd did today with your powers was impressive. Have they grown stronger since the last time we met?"
(Kylo's POV)
The room was dark, but the darkness was a friend. It would always be a friend as long as he followed orders. Hux stood next to him as Supreme Leader Snoke gave them their orders.
Snoke was a projected screen from the ship he was actually on, but it made him seem he was 25 feet tall. Snoke was what started the first order and called himself their supreme leader 8 years ago. His features were stony, wounded and fragile, but it made him look more powerful all at the same time.
"Leading them to Skywalker....the new Jedi will rise with his daughter still alive somehow." Snoke spoke, his voice colder than air itself.
"Supreme Leader, I take full responsibility for th....."
"General!" Snoke siad his voices rising which took Hux aback a bit, "Oir started must change now!"
"The weapon is ready. I believe it is time to use it. We can take out the Republic supporters of the resistance without the resistance's protection. We can the stop them before Skywalker's daughter gets to him." Snoke consider his plan in the few seconds he gave himself to think.
"Go. Oversee preparations." Snoke ordered Hux.
"Yes, Supreme Leader." Hux said turning away from Kylo Ren and Snoke. Proud of himself. It was read on his face he knew this would work better than Ren running after a Jedi. He left the room leaving Snoke to talk to his apprentice.
"There's been an awakening. Can you feel it?" Snoke asked Ren.
"Yes."
"It's Skywalker's daughter. She's becoming more powerful every second we wait. And also that she has joined together along with the droid help. From your father, Han Solo." Snoke spoke coldly.
Kylo Ren reacted short thinking an answer. His father the smuggler hero was nothing put spit to the dirt. Amilyn though.....if the prophecy was true they would be doomed. She'd survived all these years with him it even knowing.
"He means nothing to me. And Amilyn is nothing. She hasn't trained in years."
"Even you, the master of The Knights of Ren, have never faced such a test like this." Snoke told Kylo.
"By the grace of your training, I will not be seduced." Kylo Ren spoke. He wished that would really be true if he went up against Amilyn again. She was getting powerful by the second echoed in his head like nails hitting him.
"We shall see. We shall see." Snoke spoke coldly watching as Kylo Ren left.

(Leia's POV)
"General!" Called a cadet to the general talking to many of the commanders. Leia looked up at Cadet Syline. She had blonde hair up in two buns and she wore the tan cadets clothing. She was holding a data pad hopefully carrying some valuable information.
"What you got Cadet Syline?" Leia asked the young cadet.
"We have the coordinates of where BB-8 is heading. And we've picked up Commander Amilyn's signature."
"Thank goodness." A pilot said who had been nervously waiting on news.
"That's good. What are these coordinates?"
"The planet Takodana. They must be visiting Maz." Cadet Syline telling Leia her opinion. This cadet was very smart. It made her nervous that there wasn't a signature following Amilyn yet. She was getting stronger everyday. She helped train her in basic forms in meditation methods, put up defense systems for her to practice, and using an old helmet to trust her instincts of where she was.
"Get a fleet out there as soon as possible." Leia ordered the cadet to do. Soon.....soon she would be reunited with her niece.....and possibly her brother.
