|THIRTEEN| Chaos
Dove's POV
Here I am, waiting for Leviathan to show up, standing under the bridge near the flowing river. He's taking forever to show up. We were supposed to meet around 9 p.m., and it's a quarter past 9 now and he's still not here. But then again, it's Leviathan's old habit to show up late.
It's been three days since what happened between Vinter and me. Dylan kept asking me about Vinter's busted bottom lip, even though he knew what happened—that guy sure knows how to get on my nerves sometimes. Well, he's still adorable, though, and I'm sure Vinter told him about what happened because there's no way he won't let his best friend know about it. Tristan seemed mostly unconcerned, telling Dylan not to bother me or to let me and Vinter solve our problems on our own.
Vinter is being an ass by not letting me work on their new song. He's not allowing me to listen to the music he composed for the song. Without the beats, I won't be able to write the song. Charles said he would do something about it, but knowing Vinter, it'll take forever to convince him.
I haven't heard from Twilight since that day. I know he said he was planning something for our first date. I wonder what he's planning. I would have called him, but I didn't want to seem desperate, even though I'm the most impatient woman to be born on this planet. I guess I'll hear from him soon.
"Standing near the river like that, don't tell me you haven't gotten rid of your suicidal thoughts, Chaos," I heard Leviathan's deep voice from behind me. I turned around, grinning. He has disheveled brown hair and blue eyes—the right eye with no pupil; he is blind in one eye. He said he was born with a disability. Yes! That's my Leviathan right there, smiling warmly at me.
"Levy!" I yelled as I ran and jumped on him, making him stumble and chuckle at the same time.
"I missed you," I mumbled, burying my head in the crook of his neck.
"I know, I missed you too, my Chaos," he said, hugging me tightly. He doesn't know this, but Leviathan is like a mentor to me. Not that I would ever admit this to his face, but he's the only one I look up to. I wish to become someone like him someday.
Leviathan is not the most perfect man; he has his flaws. But what makes him great is the fact that he has already accepted his flaws; he knows about his flaws, and not many people can do that. I have learned great things from this man.
To outsiders, it might look like I have a romantic bond with Leviathan, but he's more like a father figure to me.
"I thought you were going to ditch me and not show up here," I said as I pulled away from the hug.
"Sorry, baby, you know how Mammon gets when it comes to you. He wasn't letting me off early," Leviathan said. I smirked. Mammon and I have been rivals from the beginning, especially for Leviathan's attention. Like me, Mammon looks up to Leviathan too, and that has caused constant bickering and clashing between us.
Also, another cause of rivalry is the position of the youngest in the group, which is me. Mammon was initially the youngest, but when I came in, I happened to be younger than him, which made me the youngest. Although I am not officially a member of the Sins, the members treat me as if I were.
"He's still a brat, I see." I rolled my eyes.
"Don't say that; I know you love him, and he loves you," Leviathan teased.
"Yeah, right," I remarked in a sarcastic tone.
"So, how's everyone doing, Levy?" I asked. He paused for a minute as he took my hand in his and led me towards a place where we could sit. There was a giant rock near a tree; he helped me up the rock, and we sat there comfortably. Did I ever mention it? Leviathan is a gentleman.
"They are alright; Belphegor is still annoying as ever, and the rest are fine." "Bel, on the other hand, misses you more than anyone," he explained. I smiled. I know Belphegor must be missing his partner in crime. We always used to prank Beelzebub back at the juvenile center. Beelzebub is low-key scary when he's angry.
"And Lucifer?" I asked. I know how he's going to reply to that; he's going to say, "You know how he is; he will never let his emotion take over him." "It's hard to tell what he feels" bullshit.
"You know it's hard to tell what he feels, Chaos." "I still don't know how he feels about you," Leviathan said. Well, that was a bit different from what I thought of, but it still explains the same thing.
"I want to meet you, Lucifer," I blurted out as I stared at Leviathan.
"No," he said. I glared at him.
"Why?" I asked.
"Because I said so."
"But it's important, Levy," I whined.
"You think he'll welcome you with open arms if I suddenly take you to our hideout?" He said. "He'll most likely kill you without hesitation." "Only the seven sins are permitted to visit that location."
"Then call him here," I demanded.
"Dove, let me make this clear. I promised to help you with whatever you want; Lucifer or any other sins aren't obliged to do so." "They owe you nothing," Leviathan stated.
"You alone will not be able to provide the assistance I require, Levy." "The rest of the sins are needed too," I said. "I will pay you; let me hire you like a professional."
"You think our work is a joke?" He retorted.
"You never take me seriously, do you?" "You and Bel always treat me like a child; do you think I'm fucking joking?" I hissed as my frown deepened. This is pissing me off. As I said, I'm a very impatient woman, and I'm not the same Dove that I used to be in the juvenile center. I'm literally in my mid-twenties, for crying out loud. How much longer will this man treat me as if I'll be destroyed by Lucifer if I get too involved with the sins?
Lucifer, Leviathan, and Satan are of the same age as Vinter. They are 5 years older than me. Then come Belphegor and Beelzebub, who are 4 years older than me; Asmodeus, who's 3 years older than me; and lastly Mammon, who's a year older.
I don't know anything about their past, except for the fact that they all had a reason to come into the criminal world. They all have some tragic past, which I'm unaware of. Lucifer made it clear right from the beginning that the only condition he had for letting me stay close to them was that I was not allowed to ask any of them about their real identity or past.
Because Leviathan prefers to keep me away from the rest of the sins, I haven't met them since I got released from the juvenile center. I don't like going against Leviathan because I respect him too much. But this time I need all of their help.
"You always say Lucifer won't like it, and Lucifer won't allow it," I said. "But, be honest with me, Levy." "You're the one who doesn't trust Lucifer because he knows everything about all six of you while you know nothing about him."
Leviathan's eyes widened at my statement. He must be wondering if I was able to read him like an open book. Well, I just copied his ability to read and judge people like this.
"What? Surprised?" I asked with a smirk.
"I see..." he paused. "You have been following me too, like Mammon." "You always had this bad habit of copying people."
"I wasn't called a freak in the past for no reason, Levy," I mumbled.
"And a narcissistic genius in the present," he commented. I let out a dry laugh.
"What's the job?" He asked. My eyes sparkled.
"You are agreeing to it?" I asked.
"Not to meet Lucifer, not yet." "But I'll decide after you tell me what the job is," he said. I sighed as I nodded.
"I want you guys to help me escape a prisoner," I said. "Remember Micah's mother?"
"Yeah... and you want our help escaping a real prisoner who has committed a crime?" "You do realize that our job is to assassinate those people who are criminals, right?" He asked. "What makes you think Lucifer would agree to this?"
"Due to that my dear Levy," I said, "I am offering you guys' money to assassinate that woman after I get useful information from her." "Think about it, Levy; I'm assigning you to assassinate a woman for the sin of "envy," I said. "She killed her husband out of envy, didn't she?"
Leviathan stared at me for a minute as he blinked with wide eyes.
"You are slyer than you were back then, Chaos." "Belphegor naming you Chaos makes a lot of sense," Leviathan said. A proud grin appeared on my face. Belphegor named me Chaos when we became friends, because he thinks inside my head there is a lot of chaos, which is true—sometimes my thoughts are too jumbled for me to understand as well.
"So, what do you think, Levy?" "Will Lucifer help?" I asked. He sighed as he got up from his seat.
He got down from the rock and stared at me for a minute.
"Fine, since the condition and deal seem good enough to me, I'll take you to our hideout." "But on one condition," he said.
"What?" I asked.
"Talk to Lucifer to the point without blabbering bullshit like you always do," he scolded.
"Mean!" I yelled. "I don't blabber bullshit!" "He's my friend; I have to ask—"
"You know it better than anyone, baby." "Lucifer does not make friends." "We six are his brothers, and the rest are the people he uses on occasion," he stated long ago. Leviathan stated. "I'm sure if he's keeping you around for that cause, you make Asmodeus happy with your antics."
I scoffed, and as much as I wanted to deny what Leviathan said, he's right. Even I felt like the reason Lucifer let me have any sort of relationship with the rest of the sins was because of Asmodeus.
I remember how that depressed guy laughed for the first time in years because of me back then. I sure have an amusing personality if I can make someone like Asmodeus laugh.
"Come on, chaos." "Let's go," Leviathan said as he offered me his hand, which I gladly took.
He led me towards his car. A very expensive car, to be exact.
"Wow!" I exclaimed as I stared at his expensive car. "I should become an assassin too if I get to drive such cars!"
"You are rich!" "You think I don't know how much people pay you just to write one song?" Leviathan commented as we got inside his car. I narrowed my eyes at him.
"How do you know?" I asked with narrowed eyes. Is Belphegor stalking me or something?
"Bel has access to all your bank accounts and details, baby," Leviathan said with a smirk. I smacked his shoulder.
"Stalkers!" "You guys are stalkers!" I smacked him more.
"You know he's just keeping an eye out to keep you safe," he said, rolling his eyes as we drove towards the destination.
A little something about Belphegor: he's a genius hacker who can hack into any computer system.
Each sin has a specific role, and the one who handles it all is Lucifer. "The man of mysteries"—that's what I would call him. Meeting him is always exciting—I can feel the blood rush and excitement in my nerves.

You can write lyrics first and compose music later, and you can also compose music first and write lyrics later. Both ways are correct, but the second way is easier cause lyrics can be easily written if you have already got a tune set.
Okay... I am super excited to write about rest of the sins and in near future I might even write a book just on the sins... a sequel to this book
Ahahahahhahaha 😌
