Alaska and Hawaii Pt. I

((Hawaii and Alaska))
((Sorry I haven't updated in so long. I've been busy with SOLS and stuff.
I'm going to finish everything I have planned soon hopefully.))

Hawaii let out a happy sigh, she was going to go visit her friend Alaska at her place for the week.
She had made sure to pack a sweater and a few other things to be ready for the cold weather, but knowing Alaska's winter climate she most likely would end up freezing anyway.

She checked her watch, eager to get of the plane and meet her friend.
'We haven't seen each other since the last meeting a few moths ago, and even then we didn't get to spend much time together... I hope that we have some good memories by the end of the week... But knowing Alaska... Well she may make things a little difficult...'
Hawaii sighed, staring out the plane window, at the snow covered capital of Juneau.
Pretty soon the flight attendant went on the speakers letting everyone in the plane know that they were about to land. Hawaii could hardly keep still.
Sure Alaska was a pretty cold person... And pretty much pushed everyone away, she had taken a liking to Hawaii. Maybe it was because they were both adopted? Or maybe since they were the last two states added, who knows. But for some odd reason, Alaska had warmed up to Hawaii, more then she did for anyone else.

'I can't wait to see her!' Hawaii told herself, finding it hard to stay in her seat as the wheels of the plane made contact with the cold hard pavement of the runway.

-time skip-

Hawaii raced down the hallway connecting the plane to the airport.
She couldn't wait to see her friend.
Hawaii slowed down as she reached the end of tunnel, stepping out into the airport she looked around.
"Ok now I just have to find Alaska!" She smiled as she rolled her suitcase over to where Alaska said she'd be
Waiting for her at the exit.

Putting on her puffy jacket Alaska stepped outside, looking for her friend.
'Now where could she be...'
Looking around she spotted her friend leaning up against a stone pillar, her hands in her pockets.
"Hey! Alaska!" She called out to her friend, waving happily.
Alaska's gaze lifted up to Hawaii,
"Hm? Oh hi..." Alaska answered, sitting up from the pillar she walked over to her friend.

"Ready to head out?" Alaska asked, she was about a foot or so taller the Hawaii.
"Yep! I'm all set!" Hawaii answered cheerily, Alaska just nodded silently.
'Alaska's not really the talkative type...' Hawaii reminded her self as she walked with Alaska, over to her friends truck.
Alaska unlocked it, opening up the passenger seat for Hawaii. "Here..." She said blankly.

Hawaii smiled, 'she may be a cold person, but she can be pretty nice too!' "Thank you," Hawaii replied getting into the car and buckling her seatbelt.
Alaska nodded before closing her car door and going around to the drivers side of the car she got in, closing the door behind her.

Not a word was exchanged between the two on the drive to Alaska's house. But Hawaii enjoyed the peace.
Even though she wished that Alaska would talk to her some more, she knew it wouldn't happen. That's just not the type of person Alaska was, and she was ok with that.

((I'm making this random shippy chapter and I'm not even trying to make it shippy XD))
((PLZ send help lol.))

Hawaii rested her head on the glass of the car door window, feeling rather sleepy she closed her eyes yawning softly.

Alaska glanced over to her friend a small smile on her face. Then she forced herself to look ahead at the road once again.

'I wish I could find a way to talk with her... I'm not good with people... They just laugh or get afraid, I don't want that to happen... I have a friend now, and I want to keep that friendship.' Alaska told herself, for once she had broken her 'allies only' policy.
'Damn it I'm getting all sentimental...' Alaska shook her head, paying attention to the road.

Hawaii was awoken to the barking of dogs as they pulled up the driveway to Alaska's house. She yawned sleepily. "We're here..." Alaska spoke, opening up the car door her friend stepped out into the snow, and was immediately tackled and mobbed by 10 dogs.
Hawaii gasped, getting out of the car to see her friend on the ground, covered in dogs.

Hawaii put her hand over her mouth, trying her hardest not to laugh.
"J-unea! Down!" Alaska ordered as the Alaskin malamute was continuously licking her face.
The dog whined looking down at Alaska with puppy eyes.
Another one of the dogs, barked nuzzling Alaska.
"T-there there Marty." She muttered, getting up and wiping the remaining dog slobber off her face.

Her dogs surrounded her like old friends. Barking happily, their ears pointing strait up as Alaska closed up the car and locked it.
Hawaii couldn't take it anymore, she burst out laughing.

Alaska turned to see her friend, giving her a confused look.
"What's so funny?" Alaska questioned.
"I-it's just that your dogs! They tackled you like you were a chunk of steak!" Hawaii said through fits of laughter.

Alaska frowned as Hawaii calmed herself down.
"But I can see that they really like you, you must be a good friend to them." She beamed smiling.
Alaska nodded, "yeah I guess..." She answered, looking down as one of the smaller dogs, a puppy with greyish black fluffy fur stood on her boot.

Alaska smiled as she leaned down to pay the puppy on the head.
"Hello Andrew," She said, greeting the puppy.
The puppy yipped happily in response.
"Everyone back to the fence, I have a guest here and I want to get her settled." The dogs dashed back into the yard leaping over the wire fence.

Alaska sighed. "They're so full of energy..." Hawaii complimented, smiling softly.
"Yeah... They can cause quite a bit of trouble..." Alaska agreed, an awkward silence hanging between them like a thick winter blanket.

"Let's bring your stuff inside." Alaska suggested, Hawaii nodded as her friend lead her up the stair case and into her house.

Alaska's house was rather warm and comforting.
Everything was organized and in place, a fireplace burned in the living room. A soft gruff bark could be heard from one of the other rooms, as an old dog limped out into the hallway.

Alaska bent down to the old orange husky. "Hey, how are your doing trooper?" She asked with a smile, petting the dogs head lightly, the dog known as trooper let out a gruff bark, his head turning to Hawaii.
The dog growled softly at her.

"No, Trooper this is an a-... Friend of mine."
'That dog... He's so old...' Hawaii thought to herself, as her gaze drifted to the splint on the animals leg. 'That dog must have been in an accident!' She figured, suddenly feeling bad for the dog.

"Trooper was hit by a car a few weeks ago... He's still recovering but I doubt he'll make it... He's just so..." Alaska explained quietly, standing up as the old husky limped off back to its bed.

"Old?" Hawaii finished, and Alaska nodded. There was sadness in the girls eyes.

"Right, well let me show you where you'll be staying for the week..." Alaska said, trying to change the subject.
Hawaii nodded, "right..."
Alaska lead her up the stairs at the end of the long hallway, going upstairs. There were a few rooms and Hawaii guessed the one at the end of the hall was Alaska's.
Alaska lead her to the room that was next to her own, opening up the door to reveal a large guest room with a queen sized bed. The walls and floor were made of wood, and several pictures of the mountains hung on the walls.

"This will be where you'll be staying for the week... I'll let you he settled, I have to go settle the dogs down and check on trooper.
I'll be in the backyard if you need me." Alaska explained before leaving to walk down the hallway and down the stairs once again.

Hawaii smiled softly, and began to unpack her things.
'I hope this week will be a fun one!'

--Time Skip.--

Hawaii let out a sigh of relief as she finished unpacking. "Great! Now I should be all set for the week! Now where did Alaska say she was? Oh right the backyard." She reminded herself as she walked out of the room, heading downstairs she was greeted by Trooper once again, the old dog followed Hawaii as she looked for the backyard.
Trooper let out a gruff bark as he lead her there.
'What a smart dog...'

Trooper scratched at the door That lead outside. Hawaii nodded as she stepped out into the cold Alaskin winter. Trooper continued to limp towards Alaska.

Her friend was in her usual attire. A dark purple scarf, brown coat a lot like Russia's, dark blue pants, black boots and gloves. The only
Alaska was pouring the foot into the dogs dishes.
Alaska had a slightly waved pixie cut, and like the Russian she had the same grayish hair, her eyes were a light violet as well.
Alaska was around 6'3" meaning she was the tallest state.

Alaska looked up to see your friend. "Oh, your here." She said standing up and brushing off her hands. Trooper let out a gruff bark as the old dog settled down beside Hawaii.

"Come over here for a moment, I want to show you something." Alaska said, motioning for Hawaii to follow.
Alaska walked up the hill going to a rather large dog house, she opened up the side door with a key, allowing them both to enter. The inside of the dog house was rather warm, and a few dogs were sleeping inside, the floor was covered in soft hay and such for bedding.
Alaska moved to the back of the dog house, sitting down in front of what seemed to be a large mound of fur.
Hawaii sat down beside her friend. A female dog lay in the soft hay, her white pelt rose and fell softly as she slept. And 5 young puppies were curled up in the curve of her belly.

'They're so cute! They look so at peace here...' Hawaii observed, her eyes shining.
"There pups were born not to long ago. Margo here is their mother, she was one of my best sled dogs... But for now she has other things to take care of." Alaska told her friend, petting the white dogs head.

"You can name one of them if you'd like."
Hawaii looked up at her friend, surprised. "I-is that really ok?" She asked.
Alaska nodded, "yeah, they don't have names just yet..."

Hawaii studied the 5 sleeping pups. One of them stood out to her in particular, a dark grey and white puppy with a splash of black on his muzzle.
Hawaii smiled, "I think I'll name this one Mea 'oko'a..." She decided speaking her native language as she stroked the pups forehead.
((Gfy if you know what that translates to XD))

Alaska just nodded. "If you want, tomorrow I can get hook up the dogs to the sled and we can go sled dog racing..."
"Really?! That'd be-" Alaska gave her a soft glare, telling her to be quiet.
"Amazing..." Hawaii finished whispering.

Alaska nodded. "Right, I have a few things to finish up. So you can do whatever you wish for now... I'll most likely be done late, so don't wait for me or anything. I'll be in my office if you need something." She told Hawaii before standing up and walking out of the dog house. Hawaii nodded. 'This week should be interesting...' She told herself with a small sigh.
