Chapter Ten
"Well that's if you decide to come," He shrugged. Taking another long drag as he stared off over the roar of the bar. Over to a local shop. Before he realised. Taking the cig out his mouth. "Wait- you're coming?"
I couldn't help but beam over at him. "Of course I am Billie Joe," I smiled. "How could I let you go with out me?"
Billies face paused. Cig in his hand burning down dangerously close to its end. He looked at me, blank expression for a few seconds. "You're coming?" He asked, his voice somewhat small.
"Of course I am you Dummy!"
Dropping the cigarette, he pulled me into a hug with a huge smile. Arms tight around my chest as he lifted me up off the floor. I laughed hysterically as he twirled me back and forth in joy.
I couldn't remember at time I'd laughed harder. I kicked my legs around slightly in between laughs telling Billie to place me back down on to the ground.
Finally, he places me back down. Hands on my shoulders as he looked over at me still with a smile. "This is unbelievable,"
"And you're sure you want me to come with you?"
"Am I sure? Of course I am! I wouldn't wanna leave you here,"
But there was one thing that hadn't been discussed.
My smile began to slip over the few silent seconds. Billie noticed, his smile wiped off. "What?"
"I mean... we've not even talked about our future yet, y'know- now it's gonna be... together,"
"Your right," He realised, looking away for a few seconds. Like he was looking around. "Come back to mine,"
"Huh?"
"We'll talk about it tonight. Come back to mine with me while Tre and Mike are at the bar- and we can talk about it together,"
He was so eager, It was crazy to think this was a celebrity in front of me. I can only imagine how many girls would kill to have thee Billie Joe Armstrong want to plan what's going on his future with you in it.
And why woukd I say no? I wanted to know too. It was an over due conversation. So we agreed just there and then to this big important conversation and with out another words notice to our friends still inside in the bar.
We got in his car, Billie turning the radio on as we drove. Although I was the one to bring up this conversation, I was somewhat nervous what would come out of it. But I looked over at Billie who seemed full of nothing but happiness, I guess this all meant a lot more to him then I'd told myself the years after I'd left.
His car parked into the drive way of the house, his headlights flashing back on the garage door slightly blinding. We got out the car as Billie locked it with his car keys, before unlocking the front door and we made our way indoors.
"So where do we start?" Billie asked me, walking infront as he turned on the light switches we went past.
I looked around a little bit more through his hallway as we walked into his living room. "We can start from the start?" I suggested, also mostly confused where this conversation would begin.
Billie spun around taking a seat down on his couch. He patted the spot close beside him as I smiled sitting down too.
This conversation was gonna give me all the closure I'd ever wanted since that one coach ride.
"I guess you should start," I told him. "With your whole band becoming famous, how'd that happen?"
There was a tiny smile on his lips he tried to fight. "Well, we'd made our first album. Not much success. Are second one, a little better? It was really our third that took us flying in the chats,"
"Must've been cool huh?"
"It was pretty overwhelming, but it had its cool moments. Along with stressful I guess. Once you left I guess I kinda put writing and practicing on hold. Until I realised it was all I had left, so I threw myself into it and I guess it payed off,"
"You did well,"
"Well- so did you Echo," He nodded. "Your own studio?"
"That's nothing compared to becoming a world famous punk star,"
"Course it is!"
I couldn't help but smile at his grin, that had really never changed over the years. "I'm glad I found you again Beej," I whispered after a moment.
His smile didn't fade. "I'm glad you're sticking around,"
And then the conversation came back up. My lips fell back to a line. Then Billie realised.
"What?"
"What am I staying around as?" I finally asked.
He squinted a little, head titled like a confused dog. "Huh?"
"What do you want out of this Billie? Are we on the same page?"
"Well... I don't know-" His green eyes flickered away. "-I didn't give it a second thought we... could be on a different page,"
"Well... what do you want us to be?" I asked slowly, shifting around in the spot on the sofa nervously.
His green eyes dragged around. He wouldn't look up at me, awkwardly down as he bit his bottom lip. Before finally he spoke up. "I want you,"
The relief.
"Do you want me?" He asked.
I smiled over at him dumbly. For now, that was all I needed to know. "Of course I want you Billie Joe,"
He let out a breath. "Thank god for that,"
And I couldn't help but laugh at his reaction.
He looked over at me for a second with a still smile. Before he spoke again. "Can I get a kiss?"
I rolled my eyes playfully, aiming to kiss his cheek. But old habits never really die, so I guess I couldn't say it was too much of a surprise when he'd spun his face and I'd made contact with his lips.
I attempted to pull away with a laugh, but Billie pulled me closer. Something serious with in his touch. When I realised what was going on, I didn't fight it of course.
Why would I? I'd been waiting for this forever.
I draped my arms over his shoulder, feeling the fabric of his shirt under my skin.
His lips moved fast as I kept up, one hand was placed roughly on my waist pulling me in as close as I could be whilst the second was on the side of my neck. Keeping me where he wanted me.
After a moment he pulled away slightly. His forehead pressing against mine but his lips pulled apart. Red and swollen slightly.
My breath was short as I looked over at him. He smiled pulling me up as we stood up. I followed him along like a little lost dog, once to our feet he pulled me back in close where we continued out kiss.
His hands felt around my waist, I let out an accidental squeak as i felt him lift me up. His hands moved to under my thighs as he pulled me up on to him. I straddled around his waists for support continuing to deepen our kiss.
My hands moved around in his hair, accidentally messing it up as I felt him tighten his grip under my legs. Before he broke away.
I furrowed my brows a little at him pulling away. "What?" I asked, somewhat self conscious. Had I been to eager?
"Can you hear that?" He asked, looking at me a little confused.
I looked at him the same, unsure what he meant. Still lifted up from the ground. Until I heard a slight buzzing.
"Is that your phone?" He asked confused.
I looked over at my phone on the couch we'd previously been on. My phone screen was off, I looked back at him shaking my head. "Is it yours?"
He dropped me as my feet touched the floor, watching him grab for his phone as the vibrating sound continued. He rolled his eyes, so I knew it was his, walking away slightly. "Hello?" He asked somewhat annoyed.
I looked at him over from where he last placed me.
"Yes- I went back home,"
There was muffling on the phone I couldn't understand.
"Yes, she's with me,"
More muffling.
"Yeah yeah- alright Mike. Look- I'm busy? Speak to you later?"
And a little more.
"Right, Bye Mike," he huffed, taking the phone away from his face and ending the call.
"Mike?" I questioned with a small smile.
He rolled his eyes playfully, tossing his phone on the couch where mine was too before walking back over to me. "We can take this upstairs if you'd like?"
Anyone knew what that meant. Taking something upstairs didn't mean taking yourself upstairs.
I smiled. "Let's go,"

After Billies and my night of 'taking it upstairs' I was dropped off shortly after in the morning to break the news to Willow that I'd decided what I wanted to do. I thought it'd be best to tell her as soon as deciding.
But yet, when I got to our door, speech in my head as I knocked waiting for her to answer. I felt this nervous guilt in my belly.
The front door opened, revealing Austin behind it. His hair a mess, only in his boxers as he grunted with his eyes squinting at the morning sun. "Echo?"
"Oh- hi Austin," I awkwardly greeted, looking away from him uncomfortably.
He seemed to be the same, considering his lack of clothing, letting me in before hurrying up the stairs. I went and sat in the front room, re thinking of the way I'd word this all to Willow.
You were right, thanks for putting me up after leaving Billie. I'm now leaving you for him.
It was all so brutal?
This wasn't me second guessing my choices. I could never think about not going with Billie. But this part of the situation.
Before I knew it, I heard a pair of feet making their way down the stairs. Too light and too fast to be Austin's. I took a deep breath, re thinking my words in my head as I saw her walk through the open door way.
"Where were you last night lucky girl?" Willow teased with a grin sitting down beside me, elbow poking my rib cage playfully.
I couldn't help but laugh shoving her arm away. "Oh hush- I see Austin spent the night huh?"
"Well let's say we both got lucky,"
"It doesn't count as getting lucky when you're in a relationship Willow," I chuckled slightly.
"Well aren't you and Billie in one?"
Was we? No- course we wasn't? We'd broken up at the coach station- no one had ever officially asked anyone anything. Not since that time he fell out my closet and asked me to prove a point. "It's complicated,"
"Alright.... well- thoughts still the same on Billies offer?" She asked. "Y'know- just considering last night,"
How could I say it?
I know she wanted this. She wanted what was best for me. I know she wanted this but- it was so hard to say.
Yes, and I'm gonna leave you with out looking back. You put me up for the first few months when I had no where to go and now I'm hoping on a plane away from you for the same boy.
"Yeah..." I mumbled, looking awkwardly at the grey carpet. "Still the same,"
