Ajani Figs, sociopaths classed, rocks a killer undercut with dark, fuzzy locs sprouting wild. Stands about five-seven, got that girlish charm. He wears outlandish clothing pieces he finds in roadside barrels and dumpsters at clothing shops. Calls Diamond Alley home and occasionally, when he needs, trades his body for a warm plate of mac 'n' cheese from Hope's End Shelter down the block. He's streetwise, knows how to get around—pickpocket, survive, kill what sadness crawls up inside of him. What he doesn't have a clue about is that Marcus Lopez has had eyes on him for a while now.

Ajani Figs grew up tormented by the relentless pain and misery of his past. His early years were marked by pitiful glances and whispered insults. By the time he was nine, his life took a darker turn when his aunt in San Jose succumbed to the cancer that had been slowly killing her for years. Shipped off to a grim orphanage in San Francisco, he was briefly fostered by the Wong family. They quickly realized he was more than they could handle—a sack of depressive flesh drowning in anger—and dumped him back into the decrepit institution.

Expelled a month later for fighting, Ajani had his reasons. The tormentor had been calling him a fairy, whispering it in his ear and to the other kids, fueling a rage that culminated in a brutal beating. At ten, Ajani drifted from one boy's home to another, each more corrupt and bleak than the last, until he finally fled to the streets.

Surviving in the dark alleys and backstreets of San Francisco, Ajani came to believe that a great terror lurked within him—a psychotic gene, inherited and spreading through his veins with each passing year. It partially explained his escalating crimes: the thefts, the assaults, the nights lost to booze and drugs. The corrupt system and his own inner demons shaped him into a figure of raw, uncontrolled fury, teetering on the brink of madness.

But when a strange boy comes to him after topping the cake on his most outlandish crime saying of a school for teenagers like him, he hesitantly excepts this offer, granted he has nowhere else to go and is halfway on his journey to becoming a wanted criminal.

Somewhere in San Francisco, California exist the King's Dominion Atelier of the Deadly Arts, a secret academy where savaged teenagers are trained to become assassins. And with time, Ajani, or Jani, with soon join the squad of psychotic misfits in order to learn the new waves of survival. Not just the ability to get by with marks and bruises, but how to survive unscathed and also covered in the blood of those who cross him.

But it'll take more than a miracle to get him there and also, successfully follow under good terms of fellow classmates, and also grow a healthy bond with no other then Marcus Lopez. They say the rules are simple: no disobedience, no drugs, and no sex. But with this newfound discovery, Jani will have a lot more fun breaking rules than following them.

authors note: layout IB motherguts ! so you guys told me i should do a deadly class fic so here it is. this is going to be less plot and more romance between jani and marcus. im kinda going a au route for this one so it will probs not at all follow the canon of the original, being marcus is the new kid at the kings dominion and jani will be. this will be a "i want to kill you right now but i also want to kiss you too" trope so hehehejejeje hope you guys like that. a lot of angst and toxic dynamic, but also a "i healed you, you healed me trope" but also kinda bit of a rockstar / band au which won't be a major part of the story but I think will be fun to write !!!

for ajani as a character: he's very spunky and a product of soft eighties punk culture even before being immersed into the world he will become apart of. he carries a lot of anger inside of him and has been from a very young age which he finds hard to get rid of with his low MAOA gene ( serial killer gene ) that has gone untreated all his life. He also struggles with a lot of self destruction and self harm which he sees as him punishing himself for his instincts, so that'll come into play in the story. Because he is a femme presenting boy in the late eighties, he will deal with a lot of homophobia and shit like that so if that's triggering for you, this story isn't for you! so yess, enjoy the book!!
