Amending Fences

A/N: Finally completed my own Mavis and Ericka bonding fic! (surprisingly, there aren't that many, that I could find at least) Enjoy if you read! :D

                            __________________________________________________

Ericka heard the squabble before she even saw the small monsters who were at the source of it.

"Come on, come on! Hurry up, Norman! I wanna switch into my swimsuit and get to the hotel pool already!"

"All right, all right, I'm coming, Maryann! Just hold your horses. It's not like you have a swimsuit body anyhow."

"WHAT?!"

"Uhh, nothing!"

The woman suppressed a giggle, immediately recognizing the type of bantering that came with a veteran married couple. And sure enough, entering through the front revolving doors of the hotel – or at least attempting to – was an elderly goblin couple. The wife had easily strolled in carrying only her purse and a small handbag of luggage. The husband, however, was in a bit of a pickle, trying to haul three large suitcases in without much success. They just appeared to be too heavy for the little creature to manage.

The wife rolled her eyes. "It's not that hard, Norman!"

Straining, the husband shot her a look. "You try it then!"

The wife scoffed, looking as though she were about to give him an earful, when Ericka stepped in.

"All right, let's take it easy. You got help in me, right here!" Reaching in, she grabbed two of the suitcases and dragged them inside without so much as breaking a sweat. The couple smiled gratefully up at her.

"Oh, thank you young miss!"

"Yes! You've saved my evening!"

Norman shot his wife another look. "Seriously, Maryann?"

Maryann gaped at him. "What? It's true!"

"Well, think nothing of it. Just here to help out!" Ericka replied cheerily.

"Aw, well we appreciate it, sweetie," Maryann cooed. "Such a lovely gal you are. Oh! And with such a lovely ring!"

"Huh?"

The goblin gestured to Ericka's hand, where the beautiful little spider-ring with the brilliant red jewel sparkled. The engagement ring that Drac had proposed to her with about a week prior.

"Oh... oh, this?" she said, shrugging it off. "It's nothing, really."

Maryann gawked at her. "Nothing? Honey, I would die for that ring! It's gorgeous! Why, all Norman got me was a plastic gem thing. Hardly looked like a diamond at all!"

Norman scoffed, not taking well to that comment. "Hey, it's the thought that counts!"

Ericka couldn't help but chuckle at the exchange, though the laughter died in her throat with an abrupt halt upon the sight she got in her peripheral vision. Tuned in on the conversation from her spot at the front desk, was Mavis.

Despite being a considerable distance away, it was no secret that vampire hearing was far sharper and could cover a greater distance than that of humans. The girl attempted to be discreet as she shuffled about some paperwork, though the slight tilt in her posture in their direction paired with the occasional glances made it slightly more obvious. Ericka resisted the urge to bite her lip. Mavis was listening. And it discomforted her greatly.

"So when are you getting married?"

Maryann's voice drew her back, and she blinked. "What? Oh! Um, we're probably looking to place it in sometime at the end of next month, probably, I'm not sure with how many other weddings Drac has to host – "

"Drac?" both Maryann and Norman exclaimed.

Mentally cringing, Ericka wished she hadn't spoken all that much. But, it's what happened when she became nervous. The words would just spill out of her, and sometimes they weren't given a mental pre-check before they were.

The goblin couple however, unaware of her thoughts, were thrilled. "Did you hear that, Norman? She's getting married to Count Dracula!"

"I didn't even know he had a fiancé!" Norman replied in awe.

Maryann excitedly turned to Ericka and grabbed her hands. "Sweetie, have you know that we will be there! Right, Norman?"

The goblin nodded. "We would not miss it for the – "

"Excellent! We'll go book the stay right now, in fact!" Maryann cut in, grabbing her husband by the arm and dragging him to the front desk, and right to Mavis. She caught a quick glimpse of the girl's face, the slightly narrowed eyes and impassive look in her expression, before it was quickly replaced with a graceful smile fit for excellent customer service as the goblin couple approached.

"Lovely speaking with you, Miss... Oh! I don't appear to have caught your name," Maryann suddenly realized.

"Ericka," she replied kindly.

"Ericka! Yes, thank you for your assistance!" Maryann called back to her, and to Mavis said, "great gal, isn't she?"

Mavis gave a small nod, looking right at Ericka as she answered. "You could say that."

The tone was indeterminable, leaving Ericka unsure if it had been said in sarcasm or with sincerity. Not wishing to wrack her brain in guessing, Ericka politely waved at the couple as she resumed her duties back at the entrance. Zombie bellhops tended to the couples' discarded luggage. She smiled to herself as she saw the many traveling stickers on them, and thought back to their comical interaction. They were quite nice guests. So nice, in fact, that they'd been so ready to be participants at her and Drac's wedding – a conversation that likely would not have been had if they hadn't taken notice of her engagement ring.

The woman sighed. They had made the fifth set of guests to take notice of the little piece of jewelry, and they had reacted in the same gushing manner that the prior four had. Not that Ericka didn't appreciate the compliments cast her way. She proudly wore the ring. It was thus far a material reminder of the love she and Drac shared, and their soon to be union in marriage. But... it became difficult with each passing guest to maintain that jovial spirit on the matter. Especially when her fiancé's daughter continued to eye her, with a poker face that was impossible to read.

You're just overthinking it, the voice in her head told her. Mavis could just be holding in her excitement, trying not to burst out with happiness and therefore resorting to the straight-face. Or, the voice in her head piped up again, maybe you're NOT overthinking it. Maybe what Mavis was holding back was outright disapproval, though for the sake of tending to the hotel guests and maintaining a positive attitude, she chose not to show it. And it was this option that seemed like a more plausible one to Ericka. She and Mavis hadn't exactly gotten off to a great start back on the cruise. She couldn't blame the girl for still having her suspicions on a monster hunter. She probably thought her dad was moving too fast, and was too desperate to have a loved one again that he just didn't care.

But Drac does care... doesn't he?

Suddenly, her vision was obscured by a pair of recognizable pale hands, a playful sing-songy voice accompanying it.

"Gueeesss who honeybaaat?"

Grinning, Ericka played hard to get. "Hmm... I'm going to say... Batman?"

The accented voice, clearly appalled, gasped. "Batman?"

Ericka giggled and turned around, wrapping her arms around the neck of her zing, Count Dracula. "I'm just kidding, sweetheart." She leaned in, kissing him sweetly and pulling away. Though, this was not enough for Drac. The vampire gripped her lightly by the waist, blanketing his lips on hers in several more loving kisses. Ericka laughed and shoved him away. "Okay, all right, remember what we said about making out in the lobby?"

Dracula groaned, sneaking in one last peck before leaning his forehead against hers and looking into her eyes. "I know, my love. It's just... so hard to resist you."

"Just keep it under control, all right?" she chuckled. Like Mavis has been doing. The woman suddenly tensed, unwrapping her arms from around her lover's neck in hopes that the girl had not seen too much of their interaction.

Drac noticed her shift in demeanor and naturally became concerned. "Love guts? What's the matter?"

Does he really want to know the truth? Ericka didn't think so. Somehow, she didn't think telling him that his daughter was the matter was the right kind of conversation to have. So she swallowed it down and put on a smile. "Oh, it's not anything, really. I think maybe I'm just getting a slight ache in my back from all that luggage hauling."

She shrugged it off, but Drac's eyes grew large. "What? Oh, no, no, rabid cake, why didn't you say so before?" He whirled on a couple of the zombie bellhops who were passing by. "Augustus! Porridge Head! I told you not to slack off just because Ericka was working the shift with you!"

"Whoa there, honey, calm down," Ericka said, patting her hand on his. "It's not their fault. I'm fine! Just a little tired."

"But you're not fine! You've got a very high fever!" Drac said, his other hand having flown to her forehead and feeling the heat.

Ericka gave him a look. "Drac, I'm human. I'm going to feel warmer to you."

Drac paused, looking sheepish as he indeed did remember that vampires and humans had significantly differing body temperatures, those of the former being much cooler and the latter more on the hot side. "Ahh... right. BUT," he said, putting a finger up, "I still want you to take a break. And when you come back, take a different shift. Okaaay?" His voice got that light tone again as he rapidly smooched her cheeks, making her giggle.

"Okay, okay, I get it! I will." With that she cupped his cheeks and brought him down to her face, kissing him soundly.

He hummed contently, and whispered those words that made her swoon with joy each time he said them. "I love you."

Ericka smiled, but hesitated to return those three simple words. Once more out of the corner of her eye, she could have sworn Mavis reacted. The girl was fixated on the pair, watching and waiting for any response at all from the woman. Finally, Ericka did respond. "I love you, too."

Mavis walked away.

                            __________________________________________________

Ericka would have liked to, as a break was intended for, ease her mind off stress for her allotted thirty minutes of time to have lunch and a little breathing room. But she couldn't... not when the thoughts in her mind were putting her at unease. Those thoughts being that of the Count's daughter.

She sat there, eating her microwaved leftovers of deviled lizard tails and not very much liking the truth of what had to be done. She and Mavis had to talk.

Ericka did not want to enter her marriage with what could be unresolved differences between her and the girl. And with the date approaching fast, the woman knew it would be best to get it over with sooner rather than later.

But when? And, how would she even bring up the topic without coming off as confrontational? They were questions that she wanted to have answered before the end of the day came.

Daintily wiping the corners of her mouth with a napkin, Ericka cleared her plate, discarded her eating utensils, and got prepared to take on the next shift. Drac had recommended the front desk, and Ericka held her breath as she prepared to turn the corner and likely run into Mavis.

To her relief, it was not the sight of the black-haired vampire that met her eyes. It was instead the cheery red-headed human, Johnny. Mavis's husband and Dracula's son-in-law, Johnny was quite the character and had been one of the first to gladly befriend her. She enjoyed his exuberant nature, and the jubilant energy that he always held about himself. It brought Ericka a sense of comfort to have that friendship with who usually was the only other human at the hotel, aside from some of the guests themselves. He gladly waved at her when she approached.

"Hi, Ericka!"

"Hey, Johnny," she said, kindly waving back and taking her place next to him at the front desk. "Need some help up here?"

Johnny nodded. "Most def. I have no clue how Mavis can handle everything."

Ericka shrugged at the mention of the vampire. "She's a pro, that's for sure!"

"Definitely!" Johnny agreed. "Probably because she's been doing it a lot longer than me. I mean, I haven't even had half the years of experience she does!"

Ericka chuckled and patted a hand on his shoulder. "Well, I'm sure with the right practice, you'll get there."

Johnny smiled. "I sure hope so!"

"Trust me, I'm gonna make sure of it," Ericka assured. Just then, the phone rang, the skull head shrieking its horrible scream-ringtone. Ericka grimaced at the sound and quickly picked up.

"Hotel Transylvania receptionist desk, this is Ericka, how can I help you?"

A throat cleared on the other end, and a gruff sounding voice spoke up. "Yes, hello, you say this is Ericka?"

"Yes," the woman replied. "What can I do to assist you?"

"Ah, right..." the voice began, throat clearing again. "If you may, there appears to be a lack of robes in the room for the wife and I. Would you be so kind as to bring a couple up?"

"Sure thing, not a problem at all. What room did you say you were in?"

"Oh! Err, I believe this would be... room... 124?"

"Room 124, got it," Ericka said confidently. "I'll be up there shortly."

"Excellent. Thank you!"

"Not a problem!" Ericka hung up the phone, and then looked over at Johnny. "I guess that extra help's going to have to wait a moment, Johnny."

Johnny waved it off. "Ah, it's no biggie! Spare robes are in the same closet as the spare towels. Just go to the far end of the hall on the left, and you got it!"

Ericka nodded. "Thanks, I should be back soon!"

Johnny waved at her as she departed, smiling to himself.

The plan was set in motion.

                            __________________________________________________

Five minutes later, Ericka had made her trek to the closet, retrieved a pair of the fluffiest white robes that she could find, and was now knocking on the wooden door of room 124.

"Who is it?" the gruff voice from the phone asked.

"Room service!" Ericka called.

"Ah, yes!"

The door's latches began to be unlocked as Ericka spoke. "Got you the best two that I could find in the - Oh!"

Ericka couldn't help the gasp that escaped her when the door opened and the guest on the other end came into view. One could not presume what type of voice was associated with what type of guest. All sorts of creatures, human and monster alike, came through the doors of Hotel Transylvania. If she had to take a guess, she likely would've pictured the gruff voice belonging to a larger beast of some kind. Though she was taken by surprise when this individual was none other than Mavis herself.

The vampire stared back at her, a serious look on her face, with both hands on her hips and with a raised eyebrow. Ericka suddenly felt a need to apologize, though for what she wasn't sure.

"Mavis! I – I'm sorry, I didn't realize you were here, uh... was that you? O-on the phone, I mean?"

"It was," the girl confirmed. "I called you over because I have something I need you to do for me."

Ericka nodded. "Right, of course." Then she realized something. "Do you... still need these?" she asked, holding up the two robes.

"Yep," Mavis said, stepping to Ericka's side and going out the suite's door. "Follow me."

Not sure where this was going, Ericka only resorted to obeying the girl's order and followed her out the suite. She swallowed a forming lump in her throat caused by nerves. Why did Mavis trick her in this way? What was the vampire up to? Certainly it wouldn't be anything malicious. Yet Ericka couldn't help but wonder what was going to happen now that the pair were going to be alone.

Down the hotel's corridors they trekked, silent until Mavis piped up with a question.

"Ever been to the hotel's spa?"

Ericka shook her head. "No." It was true. She had heard of Hotel Transylvania's spa, but had not taken a peek at it herself, too occupied with other things to have gone.

Mavis nodded. "I see. They just finished some remodeling in the last week over there. I think they wrapped up yesterday night."

"Ohh," was all Ericka could say. She felt her stomach churn. Was Mavis going to make her clean up the leftover construction mess? Dust the floors? Pick off paint chips? Scrub the walls? Before she knew it, they had arrived at the double doors, the letters above it reading SPA in a simple cursive font. Mavis silently reached into her pocket, grabbing the key and unlocking it. She opened up the doors before them, and Ericka was breathtaken. The space was gorgeous, dimly lit and designed with warm colors. Flowers and plants were potted and strategically placed all around while a fountain bubbled with what looked to be refreshing spring water.

"We want to make sure that the new spa is up to par, given all the new additions that were put in. I'm going to need you to test it out for me."

Ericka whipped her head to Mavis, who now stood with a smirk on her face. The gears began turning in her head as she realized what was happening. "Wait... you want me to, uh, take a spa day?"

"With me, of course," Mavis said. "I mean, if you're going to test it out the way a guest would, it's gotta be with company. Who goes to the spa alone, right?"

Ericka was speechless for a moment. Mavis had arranged a spa day for the two of them. She grinned. "Right."

Mavis grinned right back at her and grabbed one of the robes Ericka was holding. "Come on, there's a changing room in here. Let's get into these and get started!"

Excited, Ericka nearly skipped along after the girl as they went off.

                            __________________________________________________

"Good right?"

Ericka nodded, a little too comfortable to even have the energy to respond with a proper "Yes." Next to her, Mavis sighed in agreement. They had already been there for some time - one hour? Two? The girls weren't sure if they were being honest with themselves. It was far too easy to get lost in the luxury around them and lose track of the time. Even the little spider ring on Ericka's finger squeaked with contentment, its little eyelids half-closed with drowsy pleasure.

The pair were primmed and pampered by the witches who ran the spa, having already enjoyed manicures, massages, and a lavish mineral bath. Presently, Mavis and Ericka now lounged in the steam room, one of the only amenities that hadn't been changed. This was not to say that it wasn't as nice as it had always been. The steam worked at their skin, beading it with sweat but also alleviating some of the stress and soreness within their muscles.

"You know, I have to say," Mavis began, leaning back against the seating in a more comfortable position, "it's nice to finally see you relax."

Her words made Ericka pause. She opened her eyes, previously shut from the blissful heat of the steam, and glanced over at the vampire. Mavis smiled kindly at her, seemingly genuine. Ericka wanted to reflect that same smile back at her, but found that she couldn't just yet. Her eyebrows creased together, a little confused. "What do you mean?" Ericka had prompted the question, yes, but the woman wasn't sure that she wanted to hear the answer. It meant opening up what could potentially be a can of worms. But, she knew that if she were to get anywhere with the Count's daughter, this conversation needed to be held.

"Well," Mavis said, "I've been... kind of seeing the way you are around the hotel," she admitted. "Almost every time the wedding is mentioned, you seem a little, um" - she stopped herself, trying to find the right words to describe - "out of place."

Ericka averted her gaze. It was true, no doubt about that, and trying to hide that fact would only mean that she would be lying to herself. "It's definitely been a big change, you know. Moving from the ocean to land. Becoming friends with so many monsters. Monster-hunting is all great-grandfather and I ever knew for a while. I mean, I'm glad we don't do it anymore, of course," she said quickly, "but it's still an adjustment." She dared to peek over at Mavis and determine her reaction, relieved to see it didn't look cold or unforgiving as she had figured. So she continued. "For the most part everyone's been pretty welcoming though. There's still some folks that are taking a bit longer to warm up to me, but that's expected." She shrugged.

Mavis stared at her pointedly. "Me?" she asked.

Ericka grew stiff, suddenly unable to bring herself to answer her. Perhaps she shouldn't have said that last part. But Mavis took her silence as the opportunity to continue speaking. "Yeah, definitely me. It's all right for you to say so." She looked deep into her eyes, her tone more serious. "Look, I... I know I've been a bit standoffish. It's just that... I've been taking a moment to adjust to things, too."

"And I get that," Ericka blurted before she could stop herself, what she had been holding back finally coming out of her in one long tangent. "I tried to kill your dad for crying out loud. My great-grandfather tried to destroy all of your family and friends... w-with my help, of course..." It was difficult for her to say, but it was the truth. "You have a right to be wary with me. Maybe even angry. It's not something that I can blame you for. Trust is something that's earned. And I just have to hope that someday I might earn yours."

A moment of silence passed between the pair as Ericka nervously awaited for Mavis to react. And then, slowly, the vampire reached out, her hand gently resting atop of Ericka's.

"You already have," Mavis assured. "From the moment you made the choice to save my dad. You showed everyone that you could move past the hatred. You showed me." She patted her hand for good measure and then continued. "I'm sorry for that little tiff we had back in Atlantis..."

"It's all right," Ericka replied. "You were just acting on instinct. And besides, it wasn't nearly as bad as almost getting crushed by the Kraken."

The two women chuckled awkwardly at the memory of all that had unfolded that night on the cruise, the silence between them coming on again shortly afterward. "And sorry about the whole not-talking-to-you thing," Mavis added, a little ashamed. "I guess I just didn't know how exactly to approach it."

Ericka smiled forgivingly. "Hey, I didn't either to be honest. But I'd say you scored well with this whole spa-day thing."

Mavis grinned. "Thanks. But the credit should really go to Johnny. He came up with the idea - I just helped him put the plan together."

"Ohh," Ericka murmured, thinking back to the start of her second shift. The fake phone call and voice impressions did seem like a very Johnny-esque thing now that she thought about it.

Mavis nodded. "Yep. He wanted to join in, buuut I told him that his 'Just-the-three-of-us' part of the idea would have to wait. I love him, but it would ruin the Girls Night Out vibe." She giggled softly before continuing. "You should've seen his face. I promised him a date night to make up for it!"

"Aww," Ericka laughed along with Mavis, feeling far more at ease with the girl than she had for the week that had followed the cruise and engagement. She spoke up again, confident in her words. "Thank you, Mavis. You don't know how much this means to me. Having you guys, your dad, Johnny and Dennis, and everyone else. It's just..." She trailed off, a gleeful exclamation that was a mixture of disbelief and happiness escaping her lips finishing the sentence.

Mavis beamed, her eyes shining as brightly as she felt her mood was. "Well, that's what it's like to have a family," she said happily. "And having one at a hotel is just a deal sweetener."

"A five-stake hotel with a spa," Ericka emphasized, chuckling as she leaned back in the steam room's seats once more. "Can't get any more comfortable than this!... well, except for maybe sleeping with your dad." She glanced over at Mavis again, expecting to see her still wearing her smile, but then double took as the vampire's expression.

Her face scrunched in absolute disgust, Mavis glanced back at her with horror. "UGH, UH, NO. Uh-uh, information I did NOT need..."

Coming to realize what exactly it was that she said, Ericka too felt that mortification and quickly backtracked. "Uh... Oops! Oh, no, no that's not what I meant at all. I meant that sleeping next to your dad has been good for me because of the snuggles. The snuggles Mavis, nothing else!"

But Mavis was still pretty grossed out. "Oookay," she said, taking a deep breath to recompose herself. "It's getting a little warm in here anyhow. Want to... go get our hair done?"

Thankful for the change in subject, Ericka breathed a sigh of relief. "Yes! Yes I would."

Mavis's grin returned. "Great! I think I'm going to try some extensions. Dennis has been kind of curious to see what I'd look like with longer hair."

"As long as they don't make my hair look like great-grandfather's," Ericka said with amusement, thinking back to the strange, long curled sweeps that arched out of the elderly man's head. "Those I could do without!"

The women cackled, the picture in their minds nothing short of ridiculous. "Don't worry," Mavis said between her laughs. "The spa girls are good about their styling. They helped me with my Fangceañera updo!"

"Oh?" Ericka said, intrigued. "What's a 'Fangceañera'?"

"Something amazing," Mavis replied giddily. She grabbed Ericka's hand, helping her to her feet as the pair stood and started making their way out of the steam room. "Come on! I'll tell you all about it..."

                            __________________________________________________

Ericka did indeed learn all about what a Fangceañera was - the monster celebration for all female vampires of the Dracula bloodline when they turned of age to earn their capes - along with what it was like to have someone shampoo, brush, and hairspray her platinum curls to utmost perfection. Ericka had to admit she liked the extra volume that her hair now had. She had never tried anything longer than her usual pixie cut for fear of it turning out to be the clownish look the Van Helsings had been known to have. The extra strands carefully attached to her hair sat in a soft, elegant curtain upon her shoulders, as beautiful and gorgeous as Mavis's extended locks of black hair. And they were not the only ones to think positively of the new looks...

"MAVIS!"

Johnny happily bounded up to his wife when the two women exited the spa and scooped Mavis into a hug. She giggled and hugged him back. "The new bangs look awesome! How's the spa now that you two gave it a test run?" He winked at the last two words, Mavis snickering at his antics.

"It went great, honey. Ten out of ten!"

"Nice! Wish I coulda been there with you... buuut, maybe now you're ready for that date night you promised?" He tapped his fingers together nervously and looked up at Mavis hopefully.

"I don't know, honey," Mavis said. "I was going to hang out a little bit longer with Ericka..."

She looked over at the woman in white, but the Van Helsing waved it off. "It's all right, Mavis. Besides, we can hang out soon enough." She smiled and then gasped when Mavis suddenly came at her, enveloping her in a sudden embrace that almost knocked her off her feet. Ericka took a second to recover before returning it.

"All right! See you then." Mavis unwrapped herself and waved kindly at Ericka as she went off with Johnny, a good feeling within her. Ericka most certainly wasn't her mother, Martha. But in no way was that a bad thing. She was still a part of her family. A great part of it.

And Ericka? Well, she was just as grateful to have Mavis. The girl was a smart and sincere vampire with a heart of gold. Just like another certain vampire she knew. The very same one that had given her the adorable little spider ring - and who was currently wrapping his pale hands around her waist for a hug from behind.

She yelped at the sudden sensation, but the sound morphed into a laugh as he kissed at the side of her neck, the feeling ticklish. "Draaac," she whined, only pretending to dislike his smothering love but in truth wanting him to go on forever.

Planting one more light peck, he straightened out and turned her around so that he could give her a proper greeting kiss. "Honeybat!" he cooed as lovingly as always. "I almost didn't recognize you. Your beauty was so blinding," he joked, running his hands through the soft, curled extensions that ran from her head.

"And your charm is so... uh... charming," she quipped back with a laugh. She sometimes wasn't so good at the flirty banter, but Drac didn't care. She always got the same heart-eyed look from him in response.

"I knew my Mavy-Wavy would help you have a lovely time!" he chirped happily.

Ericka raised an eyebrow. "You knew about the spa plan?"

Drac nodded. "Of course! I pitched in too. Not all of Johnny's ideas are the best, but hey, if it meant pampering you and my little Voo-Doo doll, love droppings, it was worth it."

He caressed her cheek, making Ericka blush. "I should have known you were involved if it meant spoiling," she giggled. "Haven't you done enough for me already?"

"For my zing?" he asked, appalled. "It will NEVER be enough!" With that he playfully grabbed her, hauling her into his arms while she squealed delightedly and took her off for what she could only presume would end up becoming their very own date night. It would likely go as special and wonderfully romantic as they had been for all the little outings they'd had thus far, just like she imagined Mavis and Johnny's were.

But now she knew that both she and Mavis had a brand new attitude in the back of their minds to accompany it - one of positivity and trust which they intended to uphold towards each other as the new chapter of their lives - and Hotel Transylvania's for that matter - unfolded.
