Harry had almost forgotten that the exam results were still to come, but come they did. To their great surprise, both he and Ron passed with good marks; Hermione, of course, had the best grades of the first years. Amelia had done pretty well, not as good as Hermione, but better than most. Even Neville scraped through, his good Herbology mark making up for his abysmal Potions one. They had hoped that Goyle, who was almost as stupid as he was mean, might be thrown out, but he had passed, too. It was a shame, but as Ron said, you couldn't have everything in life.

An owl swooped down and landed by Amelia as she sat by the lake with the others. "Oh, hello there." Amelia smiled. The owl hooted Amelis choked on air. She opened her mouth to talk but instead hooted. After a quick exchange of hoots, the owl flew off. Amelia stood to her feet.

"What is it? Is everything ok?" Ron asked sitting up from where he lay in the grass.

"I have just been informed that I need to go see Professor McGonagall about something concerning a dragon egg that was delivered by the ministry in my absence."

Harry stared at her. "You're joking right?" Amelia shook her head.

The four friends ran back to the entrance hall where Professor McGonagall was waiting holding a rather large gold cage in her hand with a big green egg inside it.

"Ah yes, Miss Potter. I was wondering if you could explain this to me." Professor McGonagall set the cage down by Amelia who glanced at it confused.

"It's a cage Professor, with an egg in it."

"I know what it is. I was wondering if you had any idea why a ministry official was sent here the other day in regards of the adoption of a dragon. They dropped this egg of this morning."

Amelia gulped. She had no clue as to why a dragon egg would be here or what she had to do with it. Professor McGonagall's stern face softened and to the shock of the others, she smiled and chuckled. "Don't worry dear, Hagrid explained everything."
