Her last day in Diagon Alley was spent in the pup talking to witches and wizards and learning a few simple spells she could practice on the train. When she wasn't in the pup talking and dancing she was with Hagrid asking him all sorts of questions or walking around Diagon Alley and talking to locals.
She was now in her room reading over the many books she had gotten she was currently halfway through Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them the first page she turned to was to learn about Vampires. She wanted to know more about the people she had been living with. As she read down the page she notccised many of the behaviors that her family had shown over the years that she had turned a blind eye to becouse for her it was normal: Too much sunscreen, not liking garlic in food, red eyes in pictures. The list went on.
She sighed and shut the book making sure to leave a book mark in. She turned to her left where her wandcase was sitting on her bed. Amelia smiled and picked up the case gently setting it on her lap. She flipped it open to see her wand sitting in a dip in the red velvet casing. She picked it up gently. It glowed a bright light filling the room making Amelia shield her eyes though the light was dimer than when she had held it for the first time.
"Stop doing that would you."
The wand cautioned to glow before gently fading away. Amelia sighed. "You're not going to do that every time, are you? It's cool but it is getting old real quick."
"Dear that is a wand it can't hear you." Amelia glanced up to see the woman in the mirror she smiled sheepishly. "I know I just find it frustrating that it does that every time." The lady in the mirror gave a small nod before fading away. Amelia glanced down and looked at the wand in her hand smiling at it. The glow reminded her of a show she used to watch as a small girl Elena of Avalor where the girl's specter would glow when she would touch it. Amelia chuckled remembering the early afternoons well watching the show with her brother. She hoped that the wand wasn't draining her.
A knock sounded at the door. Amelia quickly put her wand away shutting the case with a snap.
"Come in!"
Hagrid opened the door and ducked walking in. He gently shut it behind him. He walked over to Amelia retched into his oversized pocket and pulled out a small slip of paper. "I came h'er to give yer thds. Yer'll ned it for the train." He handed Amelia the slip of paper she looked at it. "9/34 What is that supposed to mean?"
