"First stop Madam Malkin's for a robe,"
Hagrid led Amelia down the street Amelia jogged to keep up with Hagrid. Her eyes darting all around reading all the signs and taking in all the things she could see. It was a beautifully erry town and you could practically feel magic in the air.
Hagrid and Amelia walked into Madam Malkin's the bell sounding at the door. Madam Malkin walked over to them.
"Hogwarts I am guessing? Everyone has been so busy shopping to leave in a few days so we don't have much left but I am sure we can find you some plain black robes. "This way."
She grabbed Amelia's hand and gently guided her to a footstool and held her up onto it.
"Now what sizes are you?"
"Large sizes 9 I think," Amelia answered she was unsure she didn't go shopping much she didn't like it.
"Ok wait here I will go find some robes and you can try them on." Madam Malkin shuffled off and came back a bit later with some robes a needle and thread, and measuring tape. "
Now put this on deer," She handed Amelia one of the roads which she gladly put on. The robe went past her ankles and hands when she flipped up the hood it covered her eyes.
"Well, you are a tiny thing aren't ya? Don't worry I can get that fixed for you." Madam Malkin took the robe off and started measuring Amelia's waist and arms.
"Going off to Hogwarts what a joy it is. You must be excited?" Amelia nodded. "Yeah, I am. I just found out I was a witch." Madam Malkin let out a small gasp.
"Oh you aren't from around here deery are you?" Amelia shook her head. "What is it like in America? Your parents were smart going out of the war here and staying over there much safer."
Amelia frowned she had just learned about her birth parents last night and had many more questions about them and her brother. She knew she would have to come up with a cover lie, no one did know about her after all.
"My parents died with a was a baby." She mumbled Madam Malkin gasped.
"Oh dear, I am so sorry I never would have said anything if I had known!"
Amelia shook her head. "It is ok you had no way of knowing. I never got a chance to know them anyway just found out last night that I was adopted."
Madam Malkin gave a sad nod and counted taking measurements in silence.
"Well there dear I have all the measurements I need come back in a few hours and I will have the roads fitted for you."
Amelia hopped off the stool and thanked Madam Malkin before leaving with Hagrid. "You are going to have to come up with a convincing lie and soon no one knows you exist after all." He whispered to her, and she gave a small nod.
